@@carlasworld8571. Exactly! Don’t want siblings breeding and small bucks start early. I agree on saving the cut outs to help make doors with either for the winter or making them so you can put them up at night for added protection. I know David has no way of putting his up at night but wild animals can come along at any time you least suspect. They’ve got a good size space to get out in and a nice cover for night and when it rains. Really nice guys.
1st thing I noticed when you put the goats in was they were looking at all of the green stuff on the outside of their pen lol. Y'all are going to have to give them something green off the hillside every day lol. They'll go crazy standing in the dirt and looking at all of the green.
They’re so happy they might breed. 3 months is when they can breed. If they are related brother and sister, you need to move them apart. It’s best to not interbred and keep the blood line pure. When is Country Cure going to take the male goat? 🐐 😊 I’ve had goats for 15 years. I am sure there is a lot I don’t know. Just sharing some of the things I have learned.
You will need two places for goats. One for the boys, one for girls. That way you know when they are bred and can decide what time of year you want babies.
Yes, I agree with Richard on making doors. If you have big cats (Cougar, Mountain Lion) they can jump that electric fence. The goats look like they are settling in well. Talk Soon!
Maybe keep the pieces you cut out to close off on cold days. I have seen others using pallets to make play, climbing areas for their goats. They love ramps.
The doors really only need to be a large doggy door size. Maybe screw a rubber mat that will cover the door from wind and rain. To bad you could've have put them down into the woods more so they could eat a the branches and brush away. If they are siblings you need to get them separated soon so they dont breed. ❤❤ Great job as always. ❤
I was thinking 🤔 you guys was gonna put the fence up down through the woods to give the goats 🐐 something to graze and browse on . They jusy have bare dirt no undergrowth to eat. Hope in near future you're planning on extending your electric fence down in those Woods and do rotational grazing in warm weather and bring them back to the barn area in winter months.
You could also use the cut outs to make a covered porch so when the rain comes of the roof it won't make the entrance all sloppy and muddy. You could even use a piano hinge on it and close it during winter. legs with hinges could hold up the porch when open. Maybe.
Maybe should attach the fence post to that corner of the Goat shack where you walked in to the run? They might get out when they see you got out that way
@@SimpleLifeReclaimed That's Great Or grate 😂😆 Dig a 🕳️ hole for tiny pond ducks and you can your own petting Zoo . Lol just a joke. Your 🐔🐔 roof is that Military Surplus? Great ideas.
I think you need to invest in some of those solar trickle chargers so all your vehicles have a constant top up, and the batteries will stay healthier longer too
Mal and Gary you are doing such amazing job on the goat 🐐🐐 pin you made sure that they were ok can’t wait to see more goats 🐐 Gary I’m surprised that you didn’t Measure everything you make sure everything is perfect you guys did amazing job love 💕 from Ohio Irene and god bless but at the end of the build you measured and it was right on target 🎯 again love 💕 from Ohio Irene and god bless
I think you should build a garage for all the cars to park and a workshop garage to fix cars n for your diy and stuff would be epic but after the house is complete ❤
The openings look nice and the goats will enjoy going in and out. Did I miss why two openings and will you close up or cover with some material in the winter to keep the cold out. A play area will be fun for them.
So glad you were able to add more ventilation in the shed. I recommend shifting the fence so they can graze down the weeds on the terrace below the garden, then shift it down the hill behind the enclosure.. They need fresh greens to alleviate boredom and for their physical health.
Are you going to put doors on those openings? The rain may blow in - and I hear goats DO NOT like rain. - and for snowy weather. ou and ah - while you are chasing the escape artists - ENJOY!! love watching yu all
save tin that you cut out and make doors put back over holes only install hinges for extreme weather especially cold weather be able close door keep critters in barn for those times for medication or isolation time aka hospital 🏥 or giving birth
You guys are doing you.. just a suggestion for the future make them a permanent fence for the future then you can use the electric fence in other places and you have a place to lock them up and safe
Just to let you know, where you are climbing in and out of the new goatpen, they will get out of that, they are escape artists, advice, I would tighten it up to your building
Love your videos, add you a light that you can see from the house, this will tell you if the power is off, like if a tree branch drops onto the fence it will shut off the power, the animals can get out, but when in doubt look to see if the light is still on, 🥰 positive vibes 🥰
The goat shed looks great and I agree that you need a couple more goats at least. and now you have the 2 entrances for them you have the frames to fix some doors for the winter months
It looks absolutely amazing well done 👍👊 I would use rhe cut offs for little roof on the opening on hinges, and wood at each en that go onto the house to keep it up Just a thought 😂😂 You guy's have come so so so far ❤
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. Gary, in the beginning of your video those nasty trees are behind you, You’re not taking my warning and they certainly are taking over your hillside. Gary. You only needed a hole half that size. You have to consider all the cold air that will come through.
Ditto on making doors for when you need/want to keep them inside. Looks wonderful! Great job! Next a milking stand? If you plan on milking, best to start training the does when they are young.
