I understand that you are not a Cetaphil fan but I used it for years and personally I do not care if a cleanser is innovative as long as it cleans my skin and does not strip my skin, which Cetaphil does. I still use Pond's unscented cold cream to take off my waterproof sunscreen and it works like a dream and I would assume is not innovative and is cheap.

I don't think Cassandra was saying that Cetaphil needs to be revolutionary to be good, but more that it's a product thats been around for almost 2 decades so she was confused about why it was winning an award this year since it's not new and/or "revolutionary". She said it's a good, basic product, but that she doesn't use it because it's not cruelty free

@@Lulu-xl5cm there might be volunteers. But depending on what product/medical stuff we are talking about, u would need volunteers, with very special/rare deceases/illnesses/Disorders, wich can be A to risky for them to test, and or B, they are not enough/able to stay in certain clinical enviroments. A classical more extreme example would be cancer. We can produce, 1000 mice with lung cancer + a certain imune decease, and hold them at extremely supervised standards. Something like that is not not possible with humans. I know ita an extreme example a bit a far from skin care. It’s really funny when I see skincare becoming a thing now, especially korean beauty, and as a korean who has experienced the “phases” with the trend in korea, people hyping over some things that were a trend a long time ago, especially overhyped products, really bring me back memories. It’s like the reaction I had when I first saw them, and kind of knowing how people are going to move on the same, if not similar, pattern as I/lots of Koreans did. On top of that, kind of sad that people are not experiencing the better and improved skincare and beauty products in Korea now. I guess it is kind of hard because it is an entirely different country, and Koreans tend to move on very, very quickly, it is going to be hard to get all of the products here. ;-; (sorry for the bad english, this is not my first language)

Beagles! As a beagle mom, knowing people are willing to only support CF brands makes me so happy! My bubs is such a love and I can’t imagine what test beagles goes through. Beagles are so loving and caring and smart. They aren’t lab dummies. We have male politicians for that….

Sadly, that's exactly why Beagles are used so frequently in animal testing labs. They're so friendly and trusting that anything can be done to them and they'll come out of it with a smile on their face and a desire to please. It's heartbreaking. I can't say much due to privacy agreements, but I used to work at a pharmaceutical company that utilized animal testing. I mistakenly opened up an SOP once that laid out how the testing was done. My curiosity got the best of me so I read on. I understand why it was being done, but seeing diagrams of how to hook things up was just disturbing, to say the least. These poor animals. Hopefully, industries can start moving away from it and find another effective manner to test products.

Loved my sweet beagle so much…she passed at 16 a few years ago. There is a disgusting lab that uses them for research here. We’ve (through protests) have gotten them to stop for the most part but even one beagle used is too many! Keeping my eyes open to adopt a beagle freed from lab

So glad you highlight if a brand is anti-cruelty or not. This is becoming a major factor for me in deciding if I am going to purchase a product.

Haha I laughed when you said 24 years and then corrected it on screen to 74 years. 😂😝 Laneige lip sleeping mask is great. But I'm biased because it... Is one of those products that lasts a LONG TIME. It looks like a small container but you don't need a lot. Hell no am I getting the peppermint eww. I am fine with the classic strawberry scent/flavor. But something about the way this works, it's like it goes on, and then melts and EXPANDS?! Somehow... It's really hard to use up. I use it as lip balm though, not as a thick mask, because I find I don't need to. A little goes a long way and it nearly lasts forever. My little 0.7 oz jar has lasted more than 9 months.. Maybe almost a year.. Idk how.

The FAB ultra repair cream is amazing for my dry sensitive skin! I love it! It also has colloidal oatmeal that I’ve discovered is great for my skin. It’s very hydrating and calming, it helps with mask wearing irritation and excessive dry skin in winter

I was gifted a set of the laneige lip masks, and though I’m vegan, I refuse to waste them, so I’ve been using them. They’re fantastic. BUT so are my holy grail lip balms from burts bees (pomegranate one is the ABSOLUTE BEST I will fight to the death on this 💀🤣). I get angular cheilitis (not bacteria caused, it’s stress induced for me so I can’t even get a doctor to treat it 😩) and the lip masks have absolutely gotten rid of it within HOURS. I’ll be on the hunt for something similar! I’m a lip balm freak, since I obviously tend to have issues with my lips, and rarely find one I feel is worth using up because it’s so great. Bummed that they’re not cruelty free, but they’re an Asian brand if I’m not mistaken, so it makes sense. Hope China readdresses the issues of animal testing/animal welfare (also human welfare because good grief).

I got one of the laneige lip mask as one of those gifts that Sephora gives you and I wasn’t impressed. I get really dry lips and nothing soaks in except for burts bees. I’ll have to try the pomegranate one though!

I still have a Clarisonic. I'm keeping it, as long as it stays clean and mold free. It makes my skin look amazing. I use it once a day. I have severly dry skin, so I can't follow the average skin care routine. It doesn't spin, it vibrates. The brush hairs are just so fine, you cannot get that from the thicker silicone bristles. Until I can find a silicone brush with finer bristles, I'm not going to purchase the silicone face brush. They do look like they would feel really nice though!

Yo I love the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. That's some of the best stuff I've ever used. It works on my oily skin in small amounts and I use more on my dry legs. I did switch to Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair for my face, though. Those rich moisturizers won me over.
