the mount and blade community is different. that started with warband napoleonic wars already. hundreds of players unifying in regiments and fighting in the style of napoleonic wars with their lines

Bro all fun about this games even in single player was commanding or being under command in Fire & Sword part of Mount&Blade - Hussary vs Raytars and history of middle east Europe, so it hits diff even today. As a 2 dimension game (strategy on map and economy connected with 3 person (or 1st) skirmishes, fights, wars, conquests, sieges, genoci.. eekhm yea this game is 👌

There’s a Civil War game called War of Rights that does that. Some groups even drill in training maps. And will use discord to talk globally for the generals to everyone else, but everyone else is talking locally in game. With a person messaging “permission to speak”, for the non generals to talk in the global chat.
