the fact this person got that far into plat with those skills just shows how op orisa is

so, as a diamond support, I would much rather have a tank who knows how to properly cycle their cooldown and knows how to enable the dps than a tank like this. I dont need my tank to hit a lot of shots - although obviously thats nice to have - i need a tank who understands how to play on a team. this tank's play style demands a ridiculous amount of support resources because they misuse all of their own resources. supports on the same team as this type of tank cant afford to look away from them for a SECOND, which means there aren't enough support resources to enable the dps or the supports themselves. I think this person will be stuck in plat for some time. they lack the fundamental skills necessary to climb to diamond as a tank. you can brute force your way to plat on mechanics alone, but you won't get further than that.

Aggression on tank can make up for a lot of technical errors in gold/plat and even into diamond that you only start getting punished for severely later on. This player is aggressive and it's masking their mistakes, in part because they're ALSO on Orisa who is harder to punish than some other tanks. I think if they watch this back and they don't watch themselves, they watch their team around them, they'll realize that they're forcing their teammates to play worse to compensate for their own playstyle. 2 minutes in your Brig almost gets killed (and should've gotten killed) trying to prevent you from falling over holding that choke. You're not hard carrying, you are taking multiple teammates amount of resources as well as your own to allow you to play how you want to. That means THEY don't have their cooldowns when they need them for anything that's not supporting you, and puts them in tough spots.

Cool down usage was abysmal. That said, blue teams DPS really struggled to get picks. Too much time for red teams dps to harrass the backline and prevent support from performing their duties. Blue teams tank didnt necessarily carry, but definitely put in a lot of good work, especially considering their support spent a lot of time fighting with Sombra in order to stay alive. Blue teams widow...? Basically AFK.

Whenever I play tank, if I'm doing well, I immediately assume it's because my supports are better than the other team's because of the current state of tanks

I feel like this person heard the phrase "its better to overuse your cooldowns than underuse your cooldowns because if you overuse them you at least have a chance of using them correctly"

All the way until 2:53, this guy is not carrying, his supports are doing all the heavy lifting, but most notably is the enemy team's lack of awareness and skill, they're so forgiving.

I think this Orisa has given us a new Emongg one liner. We'll simply just call it "yup cooldown" 😂

When you have a widow not hitting shots its basically a 5v4. The reaper tried to compensate. However with the orisa being the third dps. they had no chance.

Orisa's Forify ability is a DPS ability since it lets her shoot for longer, that's why you have to spam it, duh

I major tip!! Cooldowns are like Bike pedals. You have to cycle them. You’ll never press down on two pedals at the same time while riding. Same applies here.

i think they're using gold only to not overheat cuz look at their heat bar everytime it reach high , they use gold or javeline

This is what I thought their gameplay would look like based off them being an Orisa who claims to carry. Granted, they are Plat, and I've never played more 10 ranked games, but Ive played enough no-rank QP to see another QP brain Orisa

Winston was decent, Orisa atrocious, Dva equally bad, and Mauga meh. No carry to be seen. Still baffles me as a fellow gold through plat player that good cooldown usage isn't the norm. 😮‍💨

Orisa’s a funny tank. Low rank players can get so much value from just spamming cooldowns. For the rest of the tanks, you have to be smart with how you play and use your cooldowns. But you can climb to Plat/Diamond just from button mashing with Orisa.

On a worse take, this is the reason why we lose games in plat, tanks who just exists in the battlefield and shooting whatever they see, without any exact intention how they want to make a play. It's very frustrating when people are in a certain rank and not know how to play their rank.

"I'm carrying" and "I'm stuck in silver" are incompatible. Error 404: active braincells not found On a more serious note, besides the poor cooldown usage, your biggest issue is that you often bait your own team into fighting in horrendous positions, such as going past the choke constantly, being out in the open, staying out close to enemy spawn etc. You're playing together with other silver players, when they see their tank push up they feel safe and push up too. When you then quickly back away, their response and repositioning will be delayed and they'll die for it, because you baited them into a position by pretending it's safe, and then bailing out yourself after you got your team to follow you into that spot. First death on your team is because you lured your Sombra into overextending and aggroing. You're the tank, you're responsible for communicating to your team what space is safe to fight in. Don't just run out into the open and push, if you know you're gonna run away 2 seconds later. Just stay in a good spot, let your team know that's the spot you're playing in, and settle around proper cooldown usage. You're toying with your own team and you don't even realize it. ' waiiit wtf this is plat?? I thought for sure it said silver and gameplay looked like it. How is this plat. Is it just rank inflation or am I too disconnected from what 2024 plat play looks like? Like mechanics would be good for silver, but subpar for plat, and their game sense and ability use is like bottom barrel stuff. Like often looks like high bronze.
