The emphasis on "grey" throughout their discography is mainly because of the meaning behind the name of their label called G59 (Grey 59). Apparently highway 59 cuts through New Orleans, and according to what the boys said in a bunch of interviews (I've never been to NO), it kind of separates the white and colored halves of the city. The color grey symbolizes those two halves coming together (white + black = grey). We add all that together and get G59.
