I think it would be perfect horror and hilarious at the same time. It's horror when it got yours line saying "guys, where are you?" repeatedly echoing among the hall. Then pure funny when "I love pp" or "sub to pewdiepie" when the people got used to it.

legit a fun idea but no indie dev wants to be the first one to be at risk for (being accused of) violating internet privacy, GDPR, california regs and the like. you're going to have to store thousands of voice clips from your players in your game server, you can't just stream it immediately.

@pcenero not sure if that really applies as there are a handful of well-known games now, some released this year, which are entirely played by carrying out complex, realistic conversations with AI protagonists and antagonists. I can't imagine this would be any worse if there was a blatant disclaimer, plus, they could make it possible for servers or even individual players to opt-out of it. They're already *technically recording players' voices as some of the monster are blind but follow sound, so it's not far off or improbable to happen.

Another idea is just a skinwalker that doesn't speak, but had the nametag of the killed member. The best way to find out to see if they are a monster is to talk to them, although the moment you try to speak to them, they lock on to you and chase you.

Its actually simple Giant sees you. Try to not be in ditect line of sight. Dog hears you, make no noose. Worm feels your movement. Be prepared to run There are other creatures, but they are usually harmless. Mimics on the other hand are extremely dangerpus, but are hunted by the big three

If you're talking about ghost girl, I'd say it's more fear because she's so frickin weird than because she's human

The thing about that is that you don't expect to see something seemingly innocent like a child when everything around you is trying to kill you, and especially not on a hostile moon. It's terrifying, just outrunning a creature that wants to kill you then looking over and seeing a little girl staring directly at you before vanishing.

(Pt 2) the monsters are one thing because they make sense. Of course the things that want to kill you and live on a hostile moon are going to be well... monstrous, but the girl isn't and it's terrifying.
