I think your government has brainwashed the Israeli citizens. There are You Tube videos from former Israeli Jewish soldiers saying they were raised from young kids to see the Palestinians as terrorists, animals and sub human. When they got older and went into the army, it was easy for them to torture and kill the Palestinians because they had thought of them as animals from a young age. ( I don’t know if this is a common way of bringing up Jewish kids or just the soldiers I saw on You tube). The Israeli government has said over and over from 1948, that they want Israel to be a Jewish state. That means either kill the Palestinians and Christians or harass, torment, humiliate them until they leave on their own. ( Christians are being attacked and killed by the Israeli government as well as the Palestinians). This is genocide. 83% of all Israeli citizens agree with the genocide. The few Israelis that are in support of the Palestinians are fired immediately, ostracized and get death threats. ( on you tube). The few courageous Israeli citizens that won’t go into the army, are put in prison. A Palestinian child as young as 10 will be put in prison for 20 years for throwing stones at an Israeli soldier. Even if the stones don’t hit the soldier. Apartheid state. A Palestinian will be charged with terrorism and be put in prison for being happy in public. They have to go indoors to be happy. Apartheid state. The Palestinians are charged under the military court system, not the civil court system, like the Israelis. This means that an Israeli soldier can drag a Palestinian child, woman or man from their home, put them in prison for decades ( or life) and never be charged with anything. They are never charged. They are tortured…even children as young as 10 are tortured. Many loose their minds from years in solitary confinement. Apartheid state. The 2 million Palestinians in Gaza were put in that jail 20 years ago. They can’t get a passport, or ever see another country. They is no airport in Gaza. I've got a fun story for you: i visited a small kibbutz inside Israel, that employed palestinians from the west bank, subsidizing their work permits. One day, the highly trusted palestinian gardener's teenage son came to the entrance of the kibbutz with weapons, and tried to kill random people. He was shot dead by a guard on duty. Even though the gardener himself must have been complicit in telling his son about the plans of the kibbutz, he was given money as a way of burying the hatchet. Soon after, another one of the family members came and set fire to the entire orchard that employed many other palestinians and was a source of income for the kibbutz. Now, the kibbutz doesn't hire Palestinians, and doesn't subsidize their work permits, meaning all the previously employed palestinians are out of a job. Take whatever lesson you want from this. I see those kinds of stories play out all the time.
Which kibbutz btw? this story is the same with the kibbutzim near Gaza, turns out many of them (including one who was many years) were spies and told hamas about every house and who is in the house including dogs And it was a kibbutz who was all for peace and even took kids from gaza to hospitals for free

I felt so sorry for him in that video and i feel bad that he betrayed you. I'm also glad to see that you have not allowed your bad experiences to cloud your judgment and change your opinion of the Palestinian people. Unfortunately not many Palestinians will understand what you are doing and I believe you have been forewarned by the Palestinians you have run into about the hostilities and backlash that you might face from the locals. I hope you can forgive them. Crimes and atrocities have been committed on both sides over the years in this conflict that has dragged on for way too long. There is too much suffering and it appears that the grudge runs too deep. I can only pray that one day we will see peace and a free Palestine . Well written comment, except when you threw in the part about free Palestine and ceasefire crap, which shows that you don’t really care about peace or understand what is really required to achieve it, including using language that polarizes instead of units.
