They Tried to Shut Down My Astrophotography ( Photographing the Thor's Helmet Nebula )

Ok, it's not as dramatic as I made it sound, but they did make it difficult for me to capture the Thor's Helmet Nebula with my Sky-Watcher EvoStar 72ED.

Camera: Canon EOS 60D (Unmodified)
Field Flattener: Orion

I know that a darker environment really helps but I live in Philadelphia near the airport. It doesn’t get much more light polluted than here but I am still able to capture anything I want but I do use narrowband filters or light pollution filters with my oscillator cameras. It’s a bit rough but doable and still enjoyable.

Nice image. My first mount, the EQM-35, will arrive Friday. I can't wait! We'll see what I can get with my newbie set-up.

That SW 72 doing Work! .... Mr Tracy did u do anything special to get the green popping? Filter or Post ? ..... Trackin Dead on straight! Nice Pic !!

Nope. Those are the colors that came out naturally when editing. I have seen a few other photos of Thor's Helmet with the same coloring, but not many. I think most people shoot this target in mono and add the colors later. I shot it with an unmodified full color camera, and this was the way it came out.
