that thick hair is my hair when I wash without shampoo while the flat hair is my hair when I shampoo hahaha

That's because when you wash withour a shampoo you won't get those oils and buildup out of your hair. It may seem thicker but it's actually not :)

Wait really? It would normally be the opposite. If you don't wash, the oils will weigh down your hair making it flatter, but washing it will add volume. My hair's about twice as voluminous after I wash it. That's why longer thicker hair is easier to style when you haven't washed it for a day.

So is it possible to make fine hair look thicker through a good haircut and products? I got my hair cut the other day and I think it's pretty awful. I have fine hair but want it to have more texture and flare out to the sides more as opposed to just how it naturally falls straight. New to the channel so sorry if you've already answered this somewhere.

Im confused you talk about density and hair texture like its the same. Yes finer hair typically is on the less dense side. But a lot of people have very thick hair that is fine and smooth instead of being coarse and dry. I feel a lot of times with coarse hair especially when its really thick its harder to achieve the consistency of smoother hair without weighing your hair down. Cause i want to achieve volume and hold in my thick hair while still keeping the very smooth luscious hair look. Instead my hair looks a bit dry while still being greasy at same time when trying to use product to soften my coarse wirey hair
