My 11 year old grandaughter was home alone for a couple of hours and decided to bake cookies. They turned out great. I asked her how she did it and she said that she "Donna" on you tube told her how to do it. Thanks Donna - you make a young girl the hero of her family.
That's a great, heartwarming, happy story....only time MY 14 yo granddaughter goes NEAR the kitchen is to find something to EAT, never, never, EVER to cook, lol.
I love watching your cookie videos. I tried using your log technique of forming my cookies, refrigerated the dough for about 30 min and they came out amazing!! Moist, chewy, and thick on the inside. And they stayed soft and moist the next day! I’ve never seen this technique before. Your amazing! Ive always struggled to keep my cookies moist and thick and you solved my cookie dilemma. To anyone reading this wondering if you should try this recipe, DO IT!! Every time I tried to make chocolate chip cookies, they always came out so flat and hard or with no flavor or something was just always wrong. I tried so many recipes that I’ve lost count. I was desperately searching for the perfect recipe and I finally found it! I have terrible luck and this recipe came out 100% PERFECT!!! Ok I had to come and comment. I am currently making these cookies. I didn't have any butter so I used margarine (even though I was afraid they would go flat) and they're thick and soft just what I was looking for. I spooned them out with a huge tablespoon and they didn't go flat. So soft and not overly sweet, I love them. Thank you for sharing.

I made these with the exception of how I scoop all cookies; I use an ice cream scoop with the clicker built in. About 2.5" in diameter ball of dough, so the cookie ends up about 3" across. 9 minutes in the oven, 3 minutes cooling on the sheet, then onto the rack. Very good cookie. the next time, I will sub M & M's originals.

OMG!!!! I know that it has been a few years since you made this video, and I happened to stumble upon it 3 years later, and I have to say that I am so glad that I did! I was reading the ingredients to my husband, and he and I both questioned about some of the crazy ingredients like cornstarch and oil, but all the ingredients incorporated each other beautifully! You were right when you said that these would become our favorite go to cookies to make. I am never able to make my choc chip cookies look poofy enough. They all get so weirdly flat. Don't get me wrong, they taste good but they just *look* wrong. Maybe I'll be able to make them look right once in a while with your recipe!

I would recommend that the eggs are at room temperature and use 1 egg and 1 egg yolk, for the butter melt it and then mix it with brown sugar, after making the cooking dough keep them overnight and bake them the next day, you will obtain the chewiness and crispiness of the cookies
Yes I always recommend room temperature eggs guess I missed it thanks but I'm not a fan of melted butter in my cookies I have tried it this one works great!

These were delicious. I MADE THEM GLUTEN-FREE. I split the batch in half and did a little something myself and added a little bit of Walnut cinnamon and shredded coconut 😋😋😋😋❤️❤️❤️ Definitely saving this recipe in my favorites.
