Persona 5 royal is out really soon and spoilers are everywhere, revealed by Atlus on youtube, but no spoilers here, because this Avengers level crossover is finished, meaning the marvel cinematic universe persona style is now at an end, and also thats an Infinity Gauntlet in the thumbnail, it looks really Royal yeah? i can almost see thanos in the background dancing as he did in fortnite alongside Joker

@@mystichavin5330 Satanael is a bit different to Satan, namely being that his angelic nature is not lost and he is more a symbol of rebellion, pride and the material world than destruction and cruelty. Furthermore, in Gnostic traditions, he is said to have given humanity freedom from the Demiurge which is similarly in line with the themes of Joker and P5. (I just used a quick google search and the Shin Megami Tensei wiki as my source, if anyone wants to add to my comment or correct me, feel free.)

@@bigbones90 Yaldabaoth is based upon Demiurge, the Gnostic false god who Satanael rebelled against. Without the context of it being Satanael and not yet Satan rebelling against the Demiurge, people find this ending funny. In context, this is rebelling against imprisonment of free will of the mind, which is totally sensical for the ending. It's just that Western society perceives the terms Satanal and The Yaldabaoth differently most of the time.

I beat it on my second try in 30 or so minutes with everyone dead (including backup party members except yusuke) and Joker having 100 hp or so and pulled one more physical attack. Best way to win ever. Obviously, RamZaes would be screwed

What I really like about the lead up to the final boss was how much it felt like like a geniune SMT game. The demons here were all Law and Chaos aligned demons, the strongest ones too, so mainly Herald and Tyrant race demons. The 4 archangels serving as bosses was another cool touch, tho honestly, their should've been one more angel fight, Metatron, it feels weird that he wasn't the obstacle if you know his deal.

It’ll be dope if they add alot of powerful lovecraftian demons from Persona 2 for the new palace in a similar sequence of fights that we had to go through for Yaldabaoth. Also them adding Metatron would be a nice touch to the angel battles. Probably have Michael and Gabriel fight together and Metatron as the final fight to increase stakes. I think that would be really freakin cool.

I got into the SMT franchise before the Persona one so seeing Altus have some restraint and go with the Demiurge/Yaldabaoth instead of the usual YHVH impressed me. I also had a grand time using Jesus (Messiah) against him which something SMT doesn't offer.
