Willians Santos with the growing popularity of Xenoblade I really don’t know why they aren’t bringing it over. A simple port that just removes game pad features would be free money! And then they would make even more money if they branded it as a “Deluxe” game and added and fixed problems with the original!

@@williaml3025 It's not their call to make, it's Monolith Soft's. Nintendo licensed the game but Monolith are the ones who own it, if anyone is to make a port of it, it's Monolith.

@Nero Biblios I understand that it is ultimately Monolith’s choice what happens. But I’m just saying that since X would be relatively easy to port over (lack of game pad need) they could do it or they could even send the game to another studio to port it.

Earthbound 3 Monolith Soft, or better saying, Takahashi already said they want X on switch and the problem is money (interviews).And Monolith Soft founding comes from Nintendo, so I think they are the ones that need to give the green light for the port to happen.

spoiler alert (postgame) Well since Lin is a mim, we dont know how long she's been 13 years old. Like Elma, it said her age is 29. But later they mentioned that Elma's trueform already visited earth 30 years before. Which implies she already older than that, maybe 50 or even hundreds (she's alien). We dont even know if mim is aging or not.

It also helps that you can actually run really fast and jump over obstacles (or up mountains with enough patience). Playing Xenoblade 2 and taking forever to run anywhere was frustrating and the tiny movement speed bonuses don't really help much. Please keep map sizes tolerable for the movement speed because if you build a giant area just to make it look awesome, how awesome it looks is going to be the last thing I'll be paying attention to.

It's one of my favorite games in general tbh

Honestly the best Xenoblade game to date. This video doesn't do it justice just giving a synopsis of the main quest, which is only 1/4th of the total story. The side missions are what truly makes it spectacular.

He's done it before with anime like Kill la kill! And I had to keep it under an hour!!! Hahaha

The real biggest plot twist was when Luxaar used his special attack: Mega Destruction Dark Ball of Darkness and Destruction

I played through the first game, and I didn't remember that at all. To be honest, the first one didn't really leave any tactile memories apart from the ending being a mess (it's almost a series stable it seems -,-). Granted, it's been forever since I played it.

Seriously? Well, I guess I just remembered the Telethia especially from the impact on Melia, my favorite character second only to Shulk. I loved Xenoblade 1, so I guess I just can’t relate.

@@torment6425 I'm not that much of a fan of the series, didn't particularly like the first one and haven't bothered playing 2, so I don't personally find it much of a wonder I don't remember things from it. I don't even remember the names of the main characters besides Shulk.

The difference is that in 1, Telethia are a race of monsters, not just a singular existence. The Telethia in X is probably just an easter egg, kinda like how Elma's true form looks like Kos-Mos.

I'm a bit late, but just wanted to point out that (if I remember correctly) Tatsu was suppose to let you know about the weather and its effects or forecasting if you have Lin in your party. I can't 100% confirm this, but it's what I remember from pre-lauch covering. In the end he didn't even get that kind of role.

Tatsu is apart of a scrapped feature called guides, those empty squares that appear on the screen when you open the menue are left over from it. He also has two of Riki's clubs on his back so maybe he was going to be in combat?

It's not that the game was bad, it's just that the first Xenoblade set the bar a bit too high.

Mobius 1 It set the bar high, yes, but it also did things massively different from XC1 but many players still tried to play it like the first and failed miserably. Part of the enjoyment of X comes from understanding the experience it means to provide, as well as the tools it gives you to create your own wonderful experience.

Fortunately the story isin't fates bad so i don't go all WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY

@@pizzashark7067 I don't consider the Wii U a waste entirely because of this game. I had more hours in Xenoblade X than Smash or Splatoon (400+ compared to ~350 and ~250). I've done 4 playthroughs of it, and I'm still finding out new things about it. My next playthrough, I'm going to try and kill Luciel the Eternal (level 92 superboss) at level 25.

It's more of an MMO than an rpg.

I really want a port to try out the game, since I played it a bit (wondered around the area never reaching the city), but stopped, since I was not really adapted for long play sessions on a Home Console, and never picked it up again. With the Switch I was able to complete Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I hope X comes in so I can give it another try.

I have to say, games are much better when they leave you to discover everything about it, even mechanics wise. That way there's no overly long tutorial that slows down the game. Saying that, this game was incredibly fast paced for me, despite playing for over 400 hours...

@@thelegacyofgaming2928 The only times it ever slowed down for me was when I had to grind for a few fights. However, 116 hours into the MAIN story, I have never once felt bored with playing it.

ik this comment comes months late but. This was my first Xenoblade game and I was so hyped for it back in 2014/15 and I completely fell in love with the series since. Recently finished one (a year ago) and im anticipating the remake. Gave me headaches playing on 3DS. Hope they port this game to Switch though.

The story is like the tutorial and the exploring, grinding, build building and superbosses as well as the side quests/affinity missions which unlock new characters and abilities are actually the main part of the game for anyone wondering.

Yep, it's got a pretty long endgame, mostly because getting the gear you want is left up to the rng.

Yeah they're Sphinxes. I wiped on my first fight, but when I respawned, the game doesn't force you to engage them both at the same time, for some reason. They aren't a party, they just happen to detect you at the same time once the cutscene is ovre. So I just carefully picked them on separately and was able to deal with them.

I don't know if it's a problem with your wording or semantics but Skell stats do not scale with levels. As in, it gets +1 attack and +2 defense on level up or that kind of stuff when you go from Lv30 to Lv31, that doesn't happen. You simply have access to gear with higher stats once you break those level requirements. Getting to Lv50 (and buying the respective Lv50 Skell) will allow you to equip significantly better gear. Skell gear does have an actual level hidden in plain sight (in the name of the gear. Something like XXM140SA is worse than something named XXM150SA for instance) which does improve the gear's parameter, but again, it will never level up or scale gradually. It just *is* stronger and stays that way forever until you level enough to break the next level barrier and equip better stuff.

NEOC - Oh, I guess I always just assumed that it worked that way since that’s how equipment normally works in RPGs. I had seen the level that you’re referring to, of course, but like I said, I thought it was just a level requirement (as in “you need to be at least so-and-so level to use this Skell”). I guess I’ve just never noticed this property. I apologize for this.

Ten2 Knock Well, there’s also Skills and Armor that upgrade Skell abilities. The stats for a Skell don’t level up, but the Skell does get stronger due to the character’s stats increasing. I could be wrong, but I think I’ve cut enough enemies up with a scythe to have realized my level 30 Skell shouldn’t be killing a level 60 enemy with no problems.

@@ten2knock I mean, technically you're right that leveling up grants you ways to augment your skells, but that's either through higher level skell gear (the armor, every 10 levels you get better ones, and you can also get higher level augments for them), or from skills (Galactic Knight, for example). However, your regular stats do not affect your skell stats. Skell stats are static, outside of augments/skills/weapons/armor. No leveling will make your skell stronger. That's why the Ares 90 will always outpace non-level-60 skells, but the level 60 skells outpace the Ares 90 if you put in enough time into min/maxing them with super weapons and augments.

And those "otherwise specified" are, in a (possibly) comprehensive list: • Synchronicity skill (depends on class rank, not level) • Drive Augments (independent of level, you can be Lv5 and have LvXX augments anyways) • Leveling up allowing you to equip better armor, which has higher level Battle Traits-those Battle Traits can be Drive Augments (indirect improvement; the Skell isn't improving because your stats also did, but rather, because you can get better stuff due to level barriers being lifted) * Note: Drive Augments cap at 100%, so, for instance, if you have 5 Melee Attack Drive XX augments, instead of going for a sixth, go for Max GP Drive instead • Leveling up allowing you to use stronger Skells (indirect improvement) • Stronger Skells being able to use stronger weapons (indirect improvement) • This is a stretch, but Surge Augments (independent of level. And it just makes Soul Voice come more often) If you have two characters piloting the Lv20 Urban, one of them Lv20 and the other dude being Lv60, provided that everything is exactly the same aside from their level, there's zero difference in the Skell's performance. It really is best to think of it as an entity completely divorced from the player's character-just because you can run faster than most people and get tired much later, doesn't mean that your car also has better top speed and more efficient fuel consumption Level in this game is a very loose reference, the uploader mentioned it in the video: you shouldn't care about levels as much as size. A 30 level difference is probably trivial, especially if the Lv60 enemy in question is like, a Blatta or something. Now if your Lv30 Skell is killing a Millesaur, ya that's something impressive, but I think it's still doable-someone killed Telethia with a Lv30 Lailah or something. Besides, the E-Scythe is a really powerful weapon. You know how everyone says that the G-Buster is really darn powerful? If the E-Scythe lands a hit on the back, it hits harder than the G-Buster, on top of having better cooldown. -G Buster is still better in most cases because it staggers the enemy-

I actually think they’re working on the sequel or a port. Even after all this time, the servers are still up for the game. For whatever reason, they never pulled the plug on this game. Furthermore, thanks to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, we now know that this game is part of a big multiverse with God (aka the Conduit) and not just a spiritual successor. Plus, we know that Mira isn’t just a random planet that they found. There’s something weird going on, that’s for sure.
