I was the acting CEO for a Biomass Gasification company in RSA. Neither Nersa, nor Eskom would come to the party. We have a license to operarate, but we were cut off at every side. My specialist is now in Croatia, we have a defunct plant in Sabie. They do not want to give power to the people... Our plant could put power on the grid at 70c to the Rand, we have the wheeling agreements in place, but to use the grid Eskom and Nersa wants to charge us R1,75-00 per unit. We have RSA technology, developed here and are now used all around the World, except here. The U.N., NATO, USA inspectors were at our plant and they were in awe. China is buying our technology from us to make biomass electricity work around the World, but RSA shut us down. How is that progression?
@@EA-tc6kb we have gone to the media, we have gone International, we roped in political parties and organised events to bring awareness. Be positive people. I know it doesn't help at all or fix anything. But don't allow fear to affect your health 🙏 Its been getting worse for 2000 years+. I hope things start looking up soon though because people are really suffering and struggling to grow.
Stop saying South Africa this South Africa that. Solve the problem and stop watering lies of Satan by speaking fear. South Africa belongs to Jesus Christ. He is looking for the willing hearts to fix everything an obedient heart to Him.

Agree. So much needs to be done to fix SA that even if we started doing everything right immediately it would still take years to turn things around. Like most African countries it's a case of huge potential being squandered by corrupt and incompetent leadership.
We are approaching the point of no return. If we start now it will take 1 or 2 decades. If we wait 2 or 3 years more then it might no longer be possible.
@@peterzinn9070 Everyone keeps blaming the ANC. The sooner people wake up and grasp that the downfall of SA has been planned and orchestrated for over 100 years, the sooner people will realise that the whole system needs to change and the sooner we can start working on changing the system.

South Africa can fix the immediate power shortage in a short time, we were informed about the 2 huge gas reserves found of the coast of South Africa, that would technically be ready for commercial use by 4th quarter 2023, i was part of a team , to construct a 3 x 4800MW - Natural Gas fired power station in Egypt, the project was completed in 28 months, this does not only fix our power outages problem, but will create thousands of jobs , release pressure on unemployment, but increase the amount of tax payers in South Africa
Even if we can fix the immediate power shortage the huge CORRUPTION and inability of the government says it all Mr Garcia this Government is worse than ten apartheid governments put together if you get blacks saying apartheid was better my GOD how can that be what the anc are doing and allowing to happen in south africa is a disgrace to all south africans

Get rid of the ANC, EFF and get the unions under control. Get crime under control. Stop B.E.E immediately. Focus to attract investment in manufacturing infrastructure and go all out on attracting Tourists. Make it viable for lost talent to come back to SA. It can get us off our knees in my opinion.
There is actually serious issues next year as the FATF is about to release a report in 2023 on South Africa with regards to money laundering, corruption, and terrorism support. The organization is likely to deem South Africa NCCT, Non-Cooperative Countries or Territories because it believed some of the terrorism funding in Mozambique is coming from SA. If that report is negative, it will be a disaster for SA financial sector

How can the country grow? When the civil and construction industry have a ton of work, however small medium and large companies have got to pay bribes and protection rackets for staff to work on sites or to be safe. Extortion of people will naturally lead to a contraction and not a growth.

The labour legislation is the biggest problem of South Africa. How can a low skilled developing country have western European level labor protections. They sent all their manufacturing to Asia, yet we copy their legislation. Makes no sense, we need a strong manufacturing sector like Asia has. Asia doesn't have trade unions like we do or Europe does. So why would any companies manufacture here when they can go to Asia.
100%! I think the unions are representatives of China … they crush business here and hand it to China…… with our labour force here and all our raw materials and minerals we should be doing what China is doing…. Simple
@@gramanostrinidad1275 Agreed, I've been to many cities in China and Asia and there's absolutely nothing wrong with low skilled manufacturing work. People find a way of living, it's amazing how those Chinese save, and then give their kids better opportunities. A country cannot develop without a robust manufacturing sector. But we have politisized these jobs, with Marxist ideology. Start with the labour relations act, if you want to improve South Africa get rid of the right to strike. The Chinese don't have it, Vietnamese, Cambodians etc. These are the countries we are competing with for those low skilled manufacturing jobs, which would also bring higher skilled ones, and build prosperity. What about creating economic free zones in South Africa where in these areas' unions don't have any rights, and tax is low. This would bring in massive capital into SA but forget it no political will.
Governments around the world, including ZA, have been instructed into these policies and legislation for a reason. They have to collapse everything in order for them to rebuild it (build back better) in favour of their agenda and policies. The currency system is not sustainable, never was, and now it's failing.
Dawie Roodt is rarely wrong about this stuff. ZA is in dire trouble, and our dear government are too ridiculously proud to admit that they have failed at nearly everything.
Did the government escape responsibility for failure in his commentary. But yes like most public commentators he is shy of putting blame where it belongs
1.5% is not growth when the government is printing 12% inflation per year. M2 Money Supply is going through the roof since 2000. Money Printing = Expropriation Through Inflation
It won't collapse completely because there's the private sector (thanks God!)... Everything functional is private, from security, education, health, courier/postal, etc. Power is soon to follow... SA will be the first country globally that will need to have a (Pty) Ltd at the end of its name because it will be private everything.
@@ZKhweziN While we have a government with old politicians with old ideologies and who are essentially communist, I don't think so. For example, they want to crush a well functioning private health sector for NHI instead of listening to common sense from that private sector. So, doctors are leaving.

If we implement solutions today, in two years' time we'll start seeing the fruits. Are we implementing real solutions to substantial issues such as base load generating capacity and incentivising the non outflow of talent, income generation and employment, sadly no. Do we have two years left, not if cheap goods and essential raw materials from China stop flowing in, thus we're in a border line situation which can be easily tilt into a direction through external factors. Given the lack of current action and political interferance, we need a lot more than two years even if we stabilize the current downward trend, which we simply don't have. Looking at the current problems as a trend over the last 15 years and comparing that to the promises made which were converted into actions taken during the same period one can only come to one realistic conclusion which isn't very rosy. There's not been many real solutions implemented, if any, in most areas. The more prudent question we're thus left with is, if the current trajectory continues how long do we have left until the grant cheques bounce (figuratively)?

Dont agree with the sudden hike in interest rates people are spending less due to their increased monthly budgets after now spending a lot more on their debt some even R5000 more. Being in the finance industry I have witnessed people wanting to trade in their vehicles for cheaper ones but cannot due to their current outstanding debt which then leads to missed payments, repossession and I believe the same probably goes for home owners as well. Only the rich wont have a problem with this. Increasing the rates even more will worsten home and motor industries. Everything else Dawie talks about I agree but not the rates it also takes away money from people.
Agree so much. But unfortunately people just keep on making babies. I can not understand how they can not see that there children will not find work one day. Or do they believe they are going to live forever to keep on providing for them. This countries recourses are dwindling. Infrastructure are collapsing. When this honey pot suddenly dries up there will come one hell of a rude awakening. And its happening much faster than what many wants to see or believe.

This government garnered support by the old Soviet Union, and after that, a couple of nations when they were coming up as a political party, read Anthea Jeffrey's book The People's war. The vast amount of detail to cover on all this requires one to go over a millenia's worth of human history. But besides all that, let's be sharp, bide our time, because the more people are pushed into a corner, eventually people push back, as history shows. It also shows that we don't learn from history, in the grand scheme of it all, none of us hold the answer to how humanity will quite this bullshit it always pulls. Perhaps a global catastrophe might pull humanity together, who's to say. I suppose it would require humanity to be under one banner, global human nation under one for the sake of all. So I'd think there's a good way and a wrong way. The question we all would wanna know, that if there is some global elite, what is their reasons, had it been noble why hide it. But it's not that simple, humanity is millions of factions all with their own self interest. Some are just bigger than others. At the end of the day, the human condition wins. Constructing a scratch built Power Plant in two years is not going to happen anywhere, not unless one is looking at small scale generation of 1 or 2 MW The extent of the damage caused at Eskom is so heavily neglected that most of the existing Power Stations would require a team of specialists more than two years (per plant) to return to reliable service. Most of those skills would need to come from outside of South Africa. Our Trade Unions and the ANC / EFF faction would intimidate a foreign workforce to such an extent that each Power Station would need a heavily fortified perimeter around it, one that is guarded by foreign military contractors. So get used to using your Oil lamps and rooftop Solar. The ANC Proxy Government was installed for a reason, we must also remember that the media militia was very supportive of a Mandela led ANC government in the early 1990's and this had the blessings of an overwhelming majority of White South Africans. In hindsight we must ask: "What were they thinking?"
Indeed. What were white South Africans thinking when they installed and voted the Nats in for so long? Stupid, short term, elite, racist, greedy, arrogant and patronising. How long did they think they could keep SA's riches to themselves? Then they were finally forced to capitulate, and it was like letting a crowd of kids into a free sweet shop. They were the architects of today's downfall.

We were hired almost immediately by South Africa, jobs were guaranteed, so we went. Both employed by Barlow Rand, me in the 'Tractor Division' aka Caterpillar earth moving equipment, and she in Rand Mines, the Gold mining branch of Barlow. Long Story short, we left in 1987 when my son was born, the SA government were trying to force us to become SA Citizens and my Son would have had to join the SA Army, Unthinkable. When we came in it was R1.80 to the Pound, when we left it was similar but a bit worse, but holiday makers, which I pretended to be, were only allowed to export R6000. I had to come up with Devious schemes to get our money out, including by the Portuguese Mafia, a son of whom worked for me. Promotion was a Stairway to Heaven in those days. The Pub in Jo'burg, the White Horse I think, was my friend Luis Mateus from work, his Uncle owned it, and was Mafia from Mozambique. On Luis's recommendation they decided to trust me, and I gave them R65000. R45000 was delivered to my UK Bank account. We did all sorts of Tricks yo get our money out, paying for Holidays for UK friends parents, they paid us back in Pounds deposited in the UK.....Very Risky Times We even had to Exit on a Return Ticket, knowing full well we would never return. There is much more to this story. Suffice to say I hated the SA Government Now it is R22 per Pound. With Corruption Endemic, SA is going to become just another Failed African State.
