I live in Connecticut and my town has 10 Dunks and 3 of them are within walking distance from my house. We love Dunks here but in Mass, Dunks is a religion
Fenway Park opened for business in 1912, two years before "Babe" Ruth joined the Red Sox in 1914 at the age of, 19. He was "The Baby"! "The Babe", "The Bambino"
I love Fenway, thankful that my mom and Uncle decided we should stick around and chill at Fenway after the game instead of going to watch the marathon, in 2013
I love Fenway, just good vibes, especially when you first walk out of that area where the snacks are to your seats, that has got to be the best feeling ever.
I recently went to fenway for the first time with my class. With all it's flaw's it's still beautiful. It's one of the oldest standing ballparks, thats what makes it better
It's oldest because they couldn't replace it in the same location or expand it there, so they make the best of it & celebrate its charm. Otherwise they'd change it for the better.
Americans think a 110 year old stadium is crazy. Lords cricket ground was founded 4 years after the US gained independence. A lot of football clubs in the UK are older than Fenway. I don’t understand how all of this is so crazy to people.
@@cameronconnoron9904 I love watching baseball behind a steel beam in a seat built for a 5’3” 135lbs man for 80$ drinking a 20$ watered down bud light and a 8$ hotdog it’s the best. They should have blown it up and build a new one in the Seaport.
@@seanoconnell8362 #1 there is literally 8 seats in the whole park that have the beam in front of you #2 the hot dogs are 6 dollars and the beers are 9.50 and #3 the average ticket at Fenway park is 60 bucks. Please stop making up numbers it makes you look stupid.
There is no better baseball park. The history of it. The feel of tradition. The sense of stepping in time. From Ted Williams in left to Yastrzemski to Jim Rice right on down to manny rameriz all standing on that same outfield grass. Ruth pitched off that mound. Lonborg and Clemens as well as Pedro Martinez. Dick Radatz sparky Lyle bob Stanley Keith foulk Craig kimbral all saved games. Johnny Pesky joe Cronin and Nomar and Xander played on that dirt at short. You can almost feel the ghosts of players past when you are there. Just the best.
My first time there was in 1995. The concourses were cramped and dimly lit, the signage was outdated, the paint was peeling and there were troughs in the men's room. It's had more facelifts than Joan Rivers, but it's still my favorite place in the world ❤
As a native to Boston, I have the reason of the wooden seats. They were the oldest seats from back then and they were so special they decided to keep them
The TV's are for people who want to see themselves on tv. There were once some open seats in the front row and I got to move into them and I'm pretty sure that's why their there
I can confirm everything is true i live in NH and have been numerous times. Gotta love the steel beams that the most uncomfortable seats in the world are infront of.
I'm glad old stadiums have been preserved. I'm also happy my home team has a modern stadium and isn't shackled by tradition. Old stadiums are definitely something I appreciate from a far. I'd rather spend dozens of games a year in comfort.
Ah yes fenway park where i had my first beer at age 6 ...because people started throwing their beer when it was the bottom of 7th and the red soxs were losing. The smell of budlight will forever haunt me lmao
From AZ, went to Fenway several years back. Great to be in a historic park. Looking around at things I’ve seen in tv growing up. The green monster. Thinking of Fred Lynn’s Homer n willing the ball with his hands. It’s old, cramped seats, concourse isn’t fancy, but it’s baseball history n I loved everything about it. One of the holy grails of baseball. Don’t ever change it or tear it down. Oh and went to the Cask n Flagon too!! 👍👍

Honestly I think the TVs by the expensive seats is kinda a cool idea bc if you want to rewatch a nice hit or a pitch or something you can, but only if you pay extra

as a local i can definitely say that Fenway is a little treasure . ❤️ it’s so unique and historic and it really is one of the greatest attractions of MA .

I'm a Mets fan who visited Fenway for the first time this past season. What a memorable amazing experience it was! This video summarized a lot of the design flaws of Fenway but I still liked the mystique and history of it. I would love to take a tour of Fenway during the offseason sometime as well.
I love history, and I sure hope future people don't decide to get rid of Fenway or Wrigley. Even though they have certain issues, they are absolute gems... it's a connection we have with the past generations
Fortunately for us, Fenway has been added to the register of historic places, so they can't tear it down easily. And MLB has said it's going to be usable through at least 2050. I hope Wrigley is given the same protections, they really are cathedrals for our game
You forgot an important thing to do. You need to see the lone red seat at Fenway which signifies the longest home run (At Fenway) which was set by Ted Williams.
I got to take a tour of Fenway while on vacation in Boston and it truly is a wonderful place, even with all its... questionable quirks. Our tour guide told us about the several times that the park could've been demolished and replaced and I'm so glad that it's still here. Even all the way up on the upper decks you're still so close to the action, it's a really intimate ballpark.
I have a love for this park that grows every year. Last year my team played our thanksgiving football game at fenway and its one of the best expiriences ive had.
I went to a fenway park game back in '15. I went with my parents and we cheered for the Royals. We sat close to one of those pole seats but no one was sitting there
I like the railing in the middle of rows. It's prevents people from entering one end realizing their seats are at the end of the row having everyone get up 👍
