I pray for Sadie to recover. I live in Central Ca and we have always had Valley Fever for years. My boss passed away from it because nobody knew much about it and they didn’t know until after that’s what he had. And my uncle got Valley Fever as well. It’s very common now in both Central and Southern CA

When my kids were younger, I took them there tent camping. We found a remote campsite called Devil's Elbow. Named appropriately because we fought bugs and the heat till around 2 am, when all three of us were bug bitten, exhausted and sweaty. Finally fell asleep. Not asleep long when we heard a horrific blast from what sounded like a fog horn and saw a huge search light aimed at our tent. It was a massive barge with light and horn blaring! We were very remote, minding our own business. It finally left and we got a couple hours of sleep. We only stayed one night. Glad Sadie is getting better. So hard when they get sick.

The next time you roll through Kentucky, check out Cave Run Lake in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Morehead. Then travel about 45min away to Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge. Both areas are right up your alley and will make Land Between the Lakes seem bland.

I live 45 minutes from LBL and have camped up and down between the rivers all my life. The Kentucky lake side is my favorite. The best time to camp is the fall starting in October. Stop at one of the visitor centers and get a map that marks the roads, hook up cites, and primitive areas. Hope you make it back this way yo explore the area more.

I loved LBL... Remote camped away from campgrounds. I didn't see anyone for 9 days but two fishermen who offered me some fish lol Locals say it's a Dogman /Bigfoot hotspot I sleep with all the doors and windows open .. guess he thought I was too crazy to fuck with😂😂😂

I have a moon roof/ sun roof on my car. So I can leave it open at night for some ventilation when I'm sleeping. It's harder for someone to climb on top of my roof. It's safer than windows. I keep my windows closed at night.

I saw this video on a guy who had high blood sugar even though he didn’t eat carbs. His doctor suggested he had an unidentified infection somewhere. I’m wondering if that was the case with Sadie. I understand what you covered in the video but there’s a lot we just haven’t identified yet. Glad your dog is recovering. By the time the guy got into the dentist, he was oozing pus from a small spot on his jawbone. Crazy.

I am glad Saddie is feeling better. Love your choice of music. I noticed your headlights are yellowed and cloudy. My car had the same problem. I did the mosquito spray hack, and they now look like brand new. Mosquito repellent with deet. Spray on headlights, wait 5 seconds, and wipe with paper towel.

When my old dog had health issues I put him on milk thistle to strengthen his liver and it also helps to detoxify and reduction of inflammation in the body. We had incredible results and this maybe something that may help Sadie.

Access pass is a pass for people with disabilities (including invisible disabilities like ADHD and diabetes) and can be used at national parks, COE, USFS, BLM, etc. Similar to the Golden pass, but not age restricted. Golden pass is 62 years old.

Our pup got sick once really bad like that, emergency room etc. Overnight on iv antibiotics. The vet said it was from duck feces she had walked through by a lake at a campground. It was terrifying. So glad she's back. You are the best dog momma

I know you are open to alternative options for health so I hope you explore redlight therapy. You can get a simple device for $40 plus shipping. It has resolved my nighttime pain from basal thumb arthritis, healed an abscess on my pup Sunny and is gathering more and more studies that support it's effect on the immune system. The best part is no downside. They are uncertain if use in cancer could be harmful but there is no evidence either way. It is purported to boost the immune system. I think everyone should have a device and try it for themselves.

My husband recently started dialysis 3x’s a week for 4 1/2 hours each session not to mention an hours drive time. We have a beautiful built out 12 passenger Chevy express van which unfortunately is in the mechanic shop for the past 7 days. He comments all the time that he feels badly because I’m sitting in it waiting the whole time for him. I say to him why are you worried? I’m parked out Back in the shade safely. Because with the price of gas and crazy traffic, not to mention wanting to stay right there in case anything happens to him. I literally have all the comforts of home. I take a lunch. I have a porta potty, fridge, tv, bed, fans, heater, everything. I can get out and stretch my legs or go to the near by stores or do a craft, read. Now he’s finding out that sitting in my daughters tiny Mitsubishi Outlander is torture and I really do have luxury being in the van. 😂Ugh I want my van back soon. Safe travels and love your videos. He’s been horribly Sick these last few years and we built it out because my biggest fear is becoming homeless should anything happen to him. We’ve also had some awesome adventures in it to Florida, NC, Wyoming and Indiana.

After watching your videos for about four years, I am convinced that small towns and the townspeople are mostly the same from the east coast to the west. Yes southern towns are generally more welcoming, but northern towns are diverse in people and their level of freedom. We are the land of immigrants. Don’t think so? You know Carolyn. This is probably so weird to comment about but I love to watch u cut up veggies and such. I never ad a mom so never, ever watched anyone cook as a child or a young adult. And then I married at 19. Anyway, I’m fascinated with how u chop things with that knife. You push the knife forward! I’ve never done it that way but it looks so much more efficient! And the way u chop ginger, onions, garlic, peppers, sweet potatoes…..all of it…it’s crazy but I’ve learned so much from how u do those kinda things. I was raised in bars with my dad…..kitchen tours weren’t exactly a part of alcoholic life with Papa. I’m now a 73 year old youngster. It’s really interesting to me, watching you just being real, no big deal, no fuss kinda cooking and yakking at the same time. I know these are such lame comments to text u about, but honestly, I’m finding so much enjoyment just watching and learning, and seeing how well you do YOU.

Price of gas well look at this Carolyn : I remember watching the Waltons in the 1970's and gas at Godseys store was only 26 cents a gallon. So I ran that in the inflation calculator and in September /2024 the price should be Inflation Calculator it should be $ 5.97. My problem is that I often won't buy things like my steel roof for the house because it's 15,000 now and my neighbor only paid 8,000 in 1998. It's the same price with inflation.

This is all just a suggestion...Yep Valley fever keeps on going....vets dont treat it long enough..maybe throw rocky mountain spotted fever in the mix . 40 days antibiotic treatment for valley re occurance.. Becareful on and off with antibiotics as they become resistant. Next time have the Nevada vets talk with the east coast vets....i went thru something very similar with my jack russell...after a bit i then started preventative treatment for her liver...and greens. All helped..so glad sweet sadie is ok🙏🙏🙏🐶😊and you!

Carolyn, I lived in the Louisville area for several years and learned about a great Kentucky author who lived around Knifley, Kentucky. I have bought all but one or two of her books. Most of them are based on her relatives under fictitious names. If you would like to read a funny novel, I highly recommend Shady Grove written by Janice Holt Giles.

One of the main reasons why Valley Fever gets worse is when they dig up the soil. When they Build up buildings and a lot of people don’t know about Valley Fever. So alot of people don’t know when buildings are being erected the fungus in the soil is being disturbed and the wind can blow for many 100’s of miles and affect people who don’t live in areas where the fungus is in the soil. And Drs don’t know about it to test for it and people die. It’s really sad, the damage they’ve done to the earth……They might say it’s global warming but buildings are built all the time and they know about the soil

RU-vidr, "Lulu's Way" talks about eating healthy and cooking while being in a van. She goes away for up to 4 months at a time. She explains how she cooks meat and veggies on the road. She lost 110 lbs. 10 years ago and has kept it off. She has a printable food plan she talks about. She is headed to Texas today.

I know gas tax in Europe is high, which contributes to the high cost. Pretty much they impose a 33% tax on gasoline. I'm not sure about Mexico, but you're dealing with a government overrun by drug cartels. How long does it take to find on average a site to stay overnight? It seems like a long time. Kentucky looks so nice. Have to take a visit sometime. It's nice to see these small towns still exist. Happy travels!
