Thank you Elliart 7! I really enjoyed your song and love how the art can be interpreted as Crowley pulling him to do something fun, sideways or Aziraphale pulling him up in an aerial dance.
‘Do what real people do’ awh ‘It’s our way of saying ‘fuck you’’ AWHHHH I am feeling that ‘fire then alcohol’ And ‘rather sick of rules’ ‘FALL AND RISEEEE’
thank you so much! I spent a while agonizing over the piano cause the tempo wouldn't fit, I even had my mom help me by listening and seeing if it sounded right, lmao
I don’t think there’s a single person who can learn music theory without being confused! Believe me, you are not alone! I only know about music theory because it’s my 6th year of learning flute, and theory is a part of the exam! Also, I made an enquiry on the ‘community’ page on your channel, and I’d appreciate if you checked it out...😊
This is so good! Hope you continue to improve. Maybe even put this on Apple Music when you’re able to get better sound quality? I love fansongs like this!
Ok. I see a lot of passion and dedication here. The lyrics are great. As a fan of Good Omens, I love it. But I had 10 years of music education. Do you want constructive criticism?
actually yah, that would be really nice. The only thing I'd want to preface is that I don't have access to a real mic and used my phone to record, but other than that have at it
@@elliart7432 Okay! Of course if you don't have a better mic, the sound quality is what it is, but honestly, it wasn't that bad as far as I'm concerned. The guitar suffered from it the most I feel. The balance between the instrument and your voice was a little off- maybe if you put your phone further away from the instrument, the melody would be more prominent. The chords you play are also very sharp- did you use a guitar pick? Since this is a quite soft song, I feel soft chords would fit better (though I never played guitar, only harp, so I don't know the technique, sorry). Now about your singing- I feel you did a good job writing a melody, it's simple, but it accomplishes what it aims to. The guitar chords also fit quite well. However, I feel like at times, especially in the chorus, you're struggling to hit the lower notes- have you tried voice exercises before recording? Or, if you still have trouble with it, try a different key. Actually, at the "Now the world is coming to an end", you suddenly do change the key, and the guitar chords don't fit as well anymore. Either fitting your melody to the key, or changing the guitar key as well would fix that. The "Now we fall and rise" is the climax of the song, and has a lot of feeling behind it, but it's quite all over the place. Maybe give more practice a part that's hard- play the exact notes you want to hit on your guitar, or piano if you have one (or online). Keeping your voice steady and sure is good- while I'm more accustomed to choir voice exercises, I feel like they're good for any kind of singing. A simple do-re-mi-re-do up and down the scale can help you keep the sound, and "warm up" your voice. Now, I haven't finished music school, so take all my critique and advice with a grain of salt. I think it's admirable that you set out to write a fan song, and post it online (I don't have the motivation to finish, and courage to post anything). So kudos to you for doing it, and good luck with music, and everything else! And stay safe in this time of pestilence.
CawAreYouDoin? Thank you so much for your support and advice! I have another song lined up when I have the time to finish it so hopefully I can apply this stuff 👍, also hopefully the guitar doesn’t sound atrocious because I’m no longer playing god knows how old strings 😬
@@elliart7432 Ehehe, no problem. Thanks for accepting it! I'll gladly hear more fan Good Omens songs. This is one of those dormant fandoms for me- it may not be the one in the front currently, but it's always there. And I'll always appreciate content creators in it. Will be looking forward to the song! (as I said, I never had a guitar, and I wasn't sure how much of it was the recording, but new strings are always a good idea. We had an old harp at our school, and her sound, especially in the lower registers, was atrocious. Unless a string broke, and got changed.)
@@cawareyoudoin7379 you have no idea, I literally got the guitar at an outdoor market then just always used the strings that came with the guitar, the second string broke forever ago. My friends BEGGED me to get it restrung and I finally did, lmao
