Good thought provoking video, though I do have different views on much of this………different strokes for different folks. Try not to let it get you frustrated. Next month the stages are suppose to be exactly what you mentioned in the video. Short, simple fast pace stages according to the match director. They will also be starting a hour earlier to beat the heat of the day.😂
That sounds good. Yeah, if we had the perfect competition for each individual, we would have a million leagues, I guess. A few of the guys I shoot with have been frustrated with the amount of thought it requires to shoot each stage efficiently. Seems a little more based on strategy than skill accuracy or speed. I could change my mind on this a little as I gain more understanding. I just thought IDPA was created for the person who conceal carries to shoot more realistic scenarios and train under pressure. I feel like the league takes the complex rules, puts twists on them to make more complex stages that are very unrealistic in nature.
I have to agree with what you say. Bug gun is a perfect example. What are the most popular guns in that division G26 and Sig 365. What is the standard cap for those 10, and 12 rounds. Don't handicap those guns. I will say when they started allowing the PCC division with the 30 rd mags, should be no limit if it fits the box for handguns.
