TEACH your kids to what a gun is. Don't just say its off limits. Show them what it can do. I've taken my son hunting since he was 6-7 years old. He was more responsible than most adults.
I agree..but, dont let them play at other kids houses in the current political environment. Better to avoid irreespoinsible parenting of people you dont know when than to litigate after your 4 year old daughtet is hurt. It isnt just guns even. Saw my 2 year old daughter teething on a brother in laws double bladed military knife. Im serious. We are saturated with the G.D. 2nd amendment that we are canabolizing ouselves.
@@dark_absol666"jUsT dOnT hAvE a GuN. pRoBlEm SoLvEd." - This idiot Yeah, now tell me this: how do I effectively protect myself and my children (if I had any) in the event that armed criminals break into my home to kill us? How do I solve THAT problem, you moron?
The biggest concern is why put a gun in a room full of toys? It's very likely those kids thought it was a toy too, something they were OK to play with. Toy guns are not an evil, many kids have played with them for decades. But they know it's a toy because its with other toys. This little test should have been used in an area where there are no toys.
For a kid now it would probably be hard to tell the difference if they have not seen a real gun because now they make toy guns so it’s really hard to protect them from fake guns.
And this is why gun safety and responsibility should be taught in the home. Myself, my children and now my grandchildren have all been raised with guns in the home. No accidents, suicides or murders. Hmmm, try teaching your children.
@@TND12 Or, be a responsible adult and teach your kids that guns are tools and not toys to play with AND make damn sure you keep your gun safely away from your children.
How do they expect the kids to think the guns are real? They have toys everywhere and lots of toy guns are very realistic. The experiment is flawed and this shouldn’t be something that is taken seriously, guns are dangerous but they can not hid them among toys and expect them to think it’s real.
No because he could he could have been playing around with it. and just telling a kid don't touch it and don't do anything dangerous with it. you heard one of the parents ay at the end i think it was the parent of the kid you are talking about say that his take away was that he need to talk with his kids about it not keep it a secret. when i was a kid around guns with my dad sometimes i was always told what to do and given examples of what could happen if something i did was wrong. I was thought that on fake guns like bb guns and it carried over and he was way more stern when i got older and started hunting with real ones. my mom hates guns never wanted me to be around them and was never around them herself and only told me not to touch them and said how they "kill people" nothing she ever told me helped me with gun safety. goes to show with the people who have been around guns or even trained on fake ones have always been way more safe hen ones who aren't and are handling them.
@@andrewhutchinson4740 Kids are gonna find a gun sooner or later these days. It's too common. I'd rather mine know what to do when encountering one, rather than just be like just stay away from it, it's scary. Because then they're gonna get curious as to why I warned them to not mess with it. So I supply the knowledge beforehand. Maybe he can safely unload and clear the firearm so the other kids are safe. One child is automatically just going to pick it up and pull the trigger, it's instinct. My kids will have common sense firearms safety training, living in a world of guns.
I'm pretty sure that if you bring a bunch of adults who never fired a gun, they will make the same mistake as those kids. I went to a gun range less than 5 times and seeing a person knowing nothing about how a gun work is more terrifying than a man who wants to be the runner up against terminators carrying all sorts of guns than a 100 pound man who only talks about how he never shot. The amount of flagging these people do and idiotic actions, like 'woa I can fire a gun one handed, look at this.' A month of training can get rid of that ignorance and insure any accidents from happening most of the time.
My first time to a gun range was terrifying; not because of the guns, but because the person next to use every time they would rack the slide there finger was on the trigger and it was pointed to the side that we were on
@@Joe_blow121 before the federal government mandated that all replica guns come with orange tips, toy guns didn't have them. The weight and finish is obviously different. Toys typically have very shiny plasticky paint jobs, a bunch of screws on one side and a seam in the center. Up close they're very different. High end airsoft replicas though are something else entirely
Anyone noticed that the adult introducing the kids told them room 'full of toys' they may have thought they were toys. Bb guns, airsoft guns, rattle guns, pop guns etc. To them if not taught ( like kid in second video) they think everything is a toy
i said the same thing...they prepped them to believe the room was full of toys and you can play with anything in here..if they said " the room is full of toys if you find a gun stop playing and put it down and go get an adult THEN what would have happened!
Ok.. nobody who is responsible would leave them in a bin of toys or anywhere like that. In real life, they would likely find it on a lower shelf or something of that nature.
Kids shouldn't learn how to shoot guns which WILL always lead to deadly stuff. 12 out of 100 kids will cause some scene and it's doesn't matter how good the parents are at gun safety. Gun should be only carried by the over age of 20 year old with proper trained and background checks.
@@Tycon-fq6iz many people of the previous generations learned to shoot at 7 or so. It can be done safely, but always under adult supervision and with low powered guns like 22lr, preferably manual repeating not semi automatic at first. And of course still stored in a safe that the kids can't access, at least until they're older and responsible enough
My dad thought me to shoot guns when I turned 7 FUCKING SEVEN. Parents just have to teach them how to use guns safely if you load a gun and put one in the chamber and turn off the safety and put it down it is not dangerous but when you pick it up it is dangerous. The gun is not dangerous the person is
Some parents teach their five year old children how to use a gun along with firearm safety. I watched videos of young guns and they actually shoot them safely, even finger off the trigger in ready position.
If you have small children and don't have guns Buy a gun So you can Teach your children Gun Safety!! Gun Safety IS NOT ANTI-GUN Laws It Is How to Handle a Firearm Safely And Responsibly!!! Then You Know that your children WON'T play with guns!!!!
Not with supervision. I've always been dreaming of shooting a gun and understanding how it works. Telling kids how a guns work and how dangerous is it by letting him using it on an immovable target with different people and protection is good
This is bs, 6 kids in a tiny room with a gun yeah they will play with it. You dont tell them what guns do, they play with it. I found a gun when I was a kid and was like oh hell nah and left the room quick before I got my butt whooped for finding the gun. And yeah I was like thatd be so cool to shoot, but knew it was illegal to do so, also knew it could malfunction, and knew ricochets exist.. my grandparents let me shoot a pellet revolver at a target when I was a kid, showed me how to be safe like it was a real gun, not only was I a natural, but I never forgot how to be safe.. so seeing a giant 45 revolver, I didn't hesitate to leave it alone. After watching my grandpa shoot his Makarov, I knew real guns were a whole different level of crazy. Pellet guns have c02 tanks that scare me.. but a bullet was way scarier to me. Jus be a good parent and stop sheltering kids. When I seen a gun used on a person in a movie as a kid, there was no gore really.. like James bond.. they just fall.. but in my neighborhood it wasn't long before I seen the real thing up close.. once I seen the damage one round can do, I stayed away from that life best I could.. cause mfs are crazy.. as an adult I keep a gun to protect family and myself.. but even then I knock on wood and pray I don't have to use it every time I leave the house.. literally something I do.. jus educate kids on gore.. a little not too much.. its hard as a parent.. but as they age they'll appreciate knowing one fight can lead to being shot stabbed or beat to death with knuckles or even a bic lighter.. considered a weapon only cause it makes your fist hard as a brick. Either way.. a kid won't forget something that serious unless you raising a pile. I wish games like call of duty.. adult games.. showed realistic gore.. like what a bullet looks like going through a body.. kids would sneak off to play it to call people the n word.. gta 5 could've saved a whole generation showing what your body would look like shot by 100 police officers cause you acted crazy in the game.. dont let your kids talk about violence like its cool.. find ways to describe the emptiness of death.. as a blaxican I embrace death. Ill expect the same from my family. We will all die.. your kids won't die by your gun if you keep it on you or locked up. And if you explain that even shooting a gun can blow your hands off or blow up in your face..
Only an irresponsible gun owner would leave a guns around with kids. Responsible gun owners keep them locked up. Guns are not toys. An adult that owns a gun that gets in the hands of a child should lose his rights to own guns and do some jail time. I had a 22 caliber gun at the age of 12 it was always locked in my dad safe and I only could get to it when he was home or when we went to the gun range. I called the gun mine but I never had access to it when my parents were not home. Ignorance about guns kills people, not the gun. Teaching children the for safety rules would be beneficial If there is a gun in your house, Or if your kids visit friends and their parents have guns in their house. 1-Treat every weapon as if it's loaded. 2-Never point a weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot. 3-Keep the weapon on safe until you intend to shoot. 4- Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire. Nobody can accidentally get shot if you follow these 4 rules. Guns don't kill people, ignorance does. Education is the key to peace. And as we believed during the cold war, Peace through ultimate firepower.
I believe in teaching proper fire arm usage there is no reason to be scared it a weapon i wouldn't ket my kid run with scissors but if he know how to safely use the scissors sure oower toll Stop being afraid
You should be scared of anything that can kill you. Fear is a survival tool. It's good to be afraid, it means you are less likely to make careless mistakes.
@@kddreadlord5532 they're airsoft gas blowbacks, hence why the kid was able to rack the slide so easily. Real gin recoil springs are way easier than any stock airsoft spring
i live in a country where owning a gun is illegal but in my opinion kids should have try to go fire a gun to realise the danger or the hazard of misusing it or not properly handling it, when they know how dangerous firearms is, they will be more careful and if they have some knowledge they would take the magazine out, pull the slide back 3 times to clear the chamber and put the gun down, im just a teen in a country where gun is illegal, but i know gun safety for some reason lol
Parents watching this video those children are just naturally curious by nature I don’t fault them. I fault the parents for not teaching them about how deadly guns can be as well as proper firearm handling and safety.
Teach your children! They say that ignorance is bliss, but there is no excuse for not teaching your kids about guns! It is important! Guns keep the family (and our nation) safe and they are loads of fun to shoot! But, they can also be potentially deadly in a dummy's hands. To paraphrase the song... "Mama... don't let your babies grow up to be dummies"! Take the fam to the range or to a friend/family member's farm to shoot and learn. Show them just how loud and dangerous guns can be in untrained hands. Country kids KNOW! "Let them see. It isn't like on TV"! "Hands off... unless under an adult's supervision".
The reason they are not using proper firearm safety is on the idiot parents teach your children how to use firearms that way you do not have to worry about stuff like this you can’t expect your kid to know all firearm safety out the womb you teach them
Ofc the kids gon pick the gun up and play with it tf? Yall put it in a fucking toy box, like who would leave a gun in a KIDS toy box, they think its a toy ofc, they dont have enough common sense to know that an idiot would place a gun in a toy box for kids, if anything this experiment was jst dumb, and should have been more realistic by hiding the guns in a couch or some.
This was the lamest and dumbest experiment I’ve ever seen. When I was younger, my great grandfather had 7+ guns locked up in a closet in which I know where the key was. I knew not to attempt to do anything with a firearm since I was like 2 or 3. The main part of this is that instead of ranting with these trashy scenarios, maybe try telling your kids straight up aboutt guns by stating to them that if the pull/squeeze that trigger, bad things that you won’t like will happen, and you will get hurt.
Finding a real gun in toys basket is such a realistic sytuation. If i saw a child pulling a revolver from behind dr. Soos in the kindergarden i would immediately assume its real gun and not a toy😂😂😂
Everyone is criticizing the faults of this experiment, but most things like this should be perfected over time. Its an interesting concept and a great idea to have them know how dangerous firearms are
I already know how to use a handgun even if i was 6, i still know if there was a gun i would open the ammo if there was ammo i would throw it on the ground and tell my parents [Safety tip]
I’m 12 and I don’t see a problem with playing with a gun that isn’t loaded, hell I have airsoft guns I got just to play with and my grandpa has guns and he unloads them so can play with them😂, they are fun to play with I don’t blame them
and some republicans say that we should allow teachers to carry firearms, have you ever taught a classroom of kids? they are going to try and touch it, play with it, and if it were ever left unattended well we just saw what happens
Dude this is so terrible can you imagine what would happen if you put their favorite toys in the middle of the road😂😂😂😂 they don't know any better because their parents haven't taught them what if a stranger has candy? Did you teach them to say no seriously what's the difference you either did your job as a parent or you didn't. No gun ever try to put your kid into a van but if you're a good enough parent you would think that your kid is going to end up in a van that has a human being convincing your kid to get in. Teaching your kid about staying away from Firearms if you're not willing to teach them about them is no different than telling them not to put their hand on the stove if you can't at least do that you shouldn't have kids❤
A better experiment would be to teach them not to bully one another and to feel empathy for each other. You already knew the answer to your experiment because you’re the one who planted the violence for them to find. Leave some love lying around for them to find and see how they treat each other.
they told them they were TOYS did you not have toy guns as a kid? at the western shop at Disneyland they used to sell crappy bb guns at safeway, of course the kids thought they were toys
This is wrong on so many levels.... I grew up with toy guns and that was part of it.... Childhood... These toys are placed in the room with other toys, so it is natural....They assume that they are toys. This is what happens when non gun people try to teach gun safety
It’s not really about it being in a toy box or whatever. If you leave a gun in a toy box you don’t deserve to have kids or a gun. The idea is leaving it on a table or counter, in a drawer, or anywhere an infant could reach it. People do accidentally leave guns laying out on counters after hunting or going to the range or whatever, and some people also think that they need a gun hidden in every corner of their house for home defense, and end up leaving them unlocked in the reach of their kids. You do hear about kids accidentally blowing their brains out or killing their friends pretty often unfortunately.
This is why you take your kids shooting or at least educate them on how they work. I already knew how to operate a gun before I first shot one because of CoD. My dad accidentally left his gun out when I was little. I saw it, knew what it was, and left it alone. If you own a gun, it is your responsibility to teach your kids how they work and how dangerous they are.
Im 14 my father has been teaching me about gun safety since i was 2 and bought me a gun at 4 hes tought me alot the only time i use it is when im hunting i cant use it for anything else because its locked up in a safe and the only place u can find the passcode is his mind and his will
We teach kids not to put their finger in a wall socket, not to touch the stove, dont play with knive.. but we keep guns hidden from them instead of teaching
Okay I watched it and now I have issues with what the parents said, introducing them to guns is not going to stop gun violence! Warning them and telling them about the danger is the only way to keep them alive when the other kid has been taught how to shoot!
If i found a gun in a toy box i would never think its a real thing even as an adult, like who puts guns in toy boxes. Experiment would be better if kids where at home and gun was left in pearents bedroom or something but not in a toy box.
a kid can not rack a firearm, the spring is way too strong. just because your toy gun you bought was easy to pull the slide doesnt mean a real one would be.
I would drop the gun because my dad teaches me the guns and I’ll check see if it was loaded first and then I’ll put it down and tell my mom or dad because if somebody fired it, it would be Nancy
Look this isn’t really realistic in the first place. But anyway there is a thing called “teaching your kids” beat it in there head that guns are dangerous and to get an adult when the see a gun. There you go.
LOL toys now days need to be racked i gues lol but that kid just pointed the gun at that little girls gut and started to pull the trigger without looking at anything but the gun lol
