His seating position is way too high. If he stood 5'2", I could see setting the seat this high. His head is jbarely 2" beneath the headliner. He's got the steering wheel set at its highest position and the fact that he cannot see the speedometer/tachometer correctly is SCREAMING outloud: You're sitting TOO HIGH! If he were to hit, for example, a frost heave, his head could hit the headliner/roof and he could be hurt by that. His right forearm, when bent 90 degrees at the elbow, probably CANNOT rest on the door armrest. That might help quell whatever vibration he hears. His left thigh is positioned SO HIGH above the console that the top of his thigh IS ABOVE the gear shift lever. What person, standing 5' 10" drives like this? HIs knees are almost touching the bottom of the dashboard! This is usually the case for folks of short stature, who by nature of having a shorter upper body and shorter legs, must position the seat high (to better see over the steering wheel) and as close to the pedals as possible. When you look at the 60+ RU-vid reviews of the Macan, they are almost, without exception, highly positive and very supportive of this model. His review is far more critical of the Macan than other reviews, or so it appears that way.

SO high his feet don’t touch the ground when when he attempts egress 🙄 Also his POV of the dash was a silly over exaggerated view with only the first 1000rpm of the rev counter showing. I think he knows it’s cobblers, but is fishing for interaction. Much lime radio DJs that make a mistake on purpose, so the switchboard lights up and they seem more popular. Outdated tactic deployed by the sad and desperate ☹️

@@cliveakali Well I ate shit as a low level I.T. employee for the first 4 years of my career, then I took a different job and it got slightly better, I did that for another 7 years until I had a senior level I.T. position. There isn't a quick trick, you have to be fiscally efficient in life, and absolutely savage when it comes to taking new opportunity for increased wages. If your company wont promote you within, leave them for a company that will pay you more and keep doing it until you have what you want.

Given the size, 1.9 tonnes weight, i dont think thats bad at all. My "workhorse" 2004 320 C class gets 34 mpg if i drive it like a saint, and low 20's if im giving it beans. Everyone tells me i should have bought a diesel!??! Pay more for a diesel , pollute the air more. The running costs of my 320 c class are cheaper for 3 years and 10k miles a year the the 320 cdi, diesel is more expensive at the pumps and is suited to tractors, trains and lorries not motorcars.

Then it seems you have missed the fact that Porsche built Diesel powered tractors during the 1950s. 😁 (You should look into that, if you like and don't believe me.) Ok, on one hand i know what you meant. On the other hand i have driven a Cayenne V8 Diesel for a few days while my car was in the shop for a maintenance procedure and although i wanted to hate it at first i can't deny that it was really great.

Diesel is the best choice for a SUV, loads of torque and relatively low fuel consumption. If you want a petrol engine that matches the diesel torque, it costs and consumes at least twice as much. Audi and VW still use diesel engines in their big SUV's

@@orwell9579 No argument from me on the features of Diesel engines. Great torque, better mileage,.... but here in the states Diesel is at least 25% more expensive than regular. I just look at Porsche as a racing heritage brand. I understand why they build them because there’s a market in Europe for Diesel powered cars and SUVs. My biggest fear is Porsche goes woke and everything turns into an electric vehicle. Imagine a GT3 RS in electric. That would as exciting to drive as sitting on a cold wet toilet seat. God help us when that happens.

Actually NO... that continuous buzzing in the door can be MADDENING on its own.... I had that problem in my 911 with certain music from the bass speakers with the Bose system and the volume wasn't even remotely loud. I ended up banging the "door card" in the same manner he describes because it's truly annoying. I had the dealership remove the door card and inspect the door as well to try and fix the problem. It still happens but not as frequent. For the amount of money these cars cost there should be nothing but pure enjoyment during the ride no matter if your radio is off or you're playing your favorite song loudly.

Pay that kind of money I’d be mad about noises and vibrations too

Same for my 2016 Macan S, 72,000 miles and no rattles or problems. I have owned three 911's, and this is my favorite car so far. My only complaint is lack of a manual transmission! When it comes time to replace it, I expect it will be with another Macan!

Everything is expensive on a Porsche, just be ready for that. Although some parts for a Macan are a bit more affordable than say for a Panamera

The trick to keeping the prices down on your Macan is accepting that there are audi parts that cost less even though they're the same thing, and finding a local german repair shop that is trustworthy. I saved a significant amount of money by doing that.

Macans come with 3 different seat options: 8-way, 14-way and 18-way. The top ones he has can indeed be somewhat uncomfortable to get in/out. They’re fantastic seats though, insanely comfortable in sharp turns

@@rickross6368 I agree, they are comfortable, and once inside it's easy to drive. However, it's that "B Pillar" that gets me as the door is short in length and I've also hit my head on the door header/"A Pillar" on getting inside, so I have to remind myself to "DUCK"... LOL I'm actually driving another Macan Loaner as I have an issue with the COV's in my 911. A base model engine, fun, but lacks pick up. I am strongly considering the new Macan GTS... we'll see how this loaner goes.

Love my 2021 macan s. Who buys a porsche diesel. I've had a panamera,and a 911 loved them all. None of the problems this reviewer had. Plenty fast, plenty economical on gas. I did note a reduction in mpg by a few miles when using Michelin ice and snow tires. But all in all after owning some 35 cars in my lifetime, this is the best all around .
