Thank you, Dambisa, it was interesting for me, being a German my whole life. I can definitely say: yes that is the crushial point here, that annoys me, too: the bureaucracy is overburdening everyone. Especially with young kids! But nevertheless: I wish you a very warm welcome here in Germany, you‘re so open-minded and warm-hearted. 🫶❤
Returning Subscriber here! I look forward to these videos, thanks for the consistency. Generally, the information on relocation to Germany is murky at best and rarely practical. So thanks for filling in that gap and putting yourself out there for us to learn from you.
These videos can somehow get on one’s nerves … you managed to move to Germany which by itself is massive success which most people can only dream of … the things that people „wished they knew before moving“ is not really what’s going to expedite one’s resistance permit before even leaving one’s local country … the administrative headache AFTER actually moving there are part of the actual success of actually moving
hi, l just came across your RU-vid channel, its really wonder. my wife is south african and she will ve relocating to germany, l am sure she would like to talk to you and ask some questions about life that side. how can she reach for you?
I'm very familiar with German bureaucracy for decades but I hink your critic and judgment makes no sense without some context. Which other bureaucracy are you comparing it to? ever tried to settle in France? Recently saw videos of Brits trying to relocate after Brexit, and it's certainly no fun. THE UK? several larger city declaring bankruptcy years of waiting time for the NHS. Italian bureaucracy is a night mare even simple things like postal services are not reliable. There are many videos of US immigrants to Portugal basically reporting failure of their dreams. Europe is no longer the dream it once may have been. However many other country and regions are probably worse than what's going on here. Chances are the world order that we knew until 2019 will not return even once the war in Ukraine will be ended. But again the consequences will effect most countries. oh, one tip re medical treatments: it's always a good idea to check on budget prices for dentists and other doctors in nearby eastern Europe. Bulgaria Poland etc. which often can be billed through your existing german health insurance.
Thanks for watching and for engaging. This particular video focuses on my lived experience in Germany. It isn’t not a comparison video about Europe so the expectation cannot be that I speak of experiences I haven’t had. Those who have traveled Europe in its entirety are welcome to share their perspective.. this is mine and I did not position myself as all knowing in this video.
