Heyoo!! I definitely couldn't cover everything, *What Do You Want Changed in Wonderlands??* Also, you should join our discord! discord.gg/tGY7XV8 If you also like live streams - Perfect! I stream here: www.twitch.tv/kodymchugh
For the DLCs (done calling them PLCs) 1. Beef them up. More waves over enemies with more enemy diversity 2. At the midway point give us a NEW Obelisk boss with a dedicated drop from this dlc 3. Give us a toggle to take on a raid version of the boss. This makes it optional so casual players don’t get frustrated while giving hardcore players a challenge. 4. DLC items should ONLY appear in the DLC and the wheel needs to NOT have base game loot. Either give us DLC cosmetics or gear. Everything else is just going to lay on the ground anyhow. 5. Going along with #4 - make the souls ONLY available from the chests so that there’s incentive to find them. Having the wheel give only DLC gear would make this loop more enjoyable and rewarding 6. Stop with the gimmick weapons and gear. We want impactful, fun gear. Not “lol it shoots a 20 sided die and enemies laugh at me for using it” 7. Not a fan of die and restart. Especially since there’s so many random things that can Insta down you on here. There’s probably a lot more but that’s off the top of my head. Great video dude!
sorry but ... fvck no! You are wrong on so many levels it;s not even funny! "Beef them up" ... now, seriously? L40 CL35 enemies have some insane... as in ABSOFVCIN! insane buffs... your best weapon is about 6 to 8 times underpowered and you want to beef them up and ... couldn't help myself but... do you have anything better to do with your life? The wheel of fortune is nothing but a joke at the best ... currecncy (sh!tty "soles") to run it can only be obtained from the repetitive and boring PRCs. From my very limited (planning to do 1K runs with max loot luck + more .P) so yeah... fuck it... with aboslute max luck you have about 5% to get a legendary... now... the joke is... it's not the PLC exclusive legendary... from what I can tell, you have 50/50 chance to get the base game item... and to add salt ot the injury... you have to burn sh!tty lost souls you only get to get in the sh!tty PRCs!!!!
Totally agree with number four except for the slight problem that the "PLC" are not much fun and having to grind them is a bit like having teeth pulled. That said, 1000% get rid of the base game loot on the wheel...I hate the wheel SOOOO much because of this.
I’ll be honest I’m burned out on the game content wise as a solo player, but I do get that fun back I felt when helping newer players or even playing with them. As a Co-op game Wonderlands will always give you that so that’s a nice positive. Though I think what would make the game the best in the series is as follows: -Make all mini bosses farmable for gear/add dedicated drops -Give us a way to farm uniques (like a vending machine for uniques only) -huge free content updates (Takedown Level stuff) -more endgame activities besides Chaos Chamber, And on top of that doing these endgame activities should be able to also increase your Chaos Level -maybe just maybe another season pass (I know some may not agree) that has campaign dlc since the main story was basically Tina’s campaign might be fun to see another Bunkermaster -many many buffs -global application of bonuses from Shrines, Collection challenges (marble, poems, etc), and Switch Puzzles -decrease the cost of SDUs and enchants -make all gear enchantable (since some uniques and a few legendaries can’t be enchanted) -maybe 2 or 3 more new classes -sanity check filter/option (this is more personal really) that way players can choose wether or not they want modded items in their game when they host lobbies, no hate on players who use modded gear but when I’m doing a legit playthrough I want to keep it that way
Great points! Uniques do spawn in all the vending machines now, since a few weeks ago. Personally would love to see them drop from bosses, so I'm playing the game to grind for those cool weapons, rather than checking a vending machine constantly. I actually don't mind SDUs being obnoxiously expensive this time around, cash has been worthless in every other BL game until now, might just be me tho 😅
Oh sweet Jesus for the love of god yes please!!!!!! It’s sooooo tedious picking everything up only to be forced to go through your inventory one by one selecting trash or keep.
Maybe for enchantment rerolls when we spent the amount required it gives a list of 3 choices and the choices would be something like you wont see all three options be on ASE they would vary like one for ASE one for ASA one for on Spell cast. at least we would have options instead of getting stuck multiple times rolling for one that does not work on our build.
Yeah, something needs to change there. I would like to add that the enchant interface isn't the best. At the very least have the item being enchanted stay in the "to be enchanted" slot until you decide to go into your backpack for another item to enchant.
1. Make Chaos tiers and bonuses from marbles / poetry pages / obelisks / rune switches a shared system across all characters. Farming all those things for each individual character is a slog. 2. Buff Feral Surge in endgame (story is fine). 3. Take cosmetics you have collected out of the loot pool OR make ones you don't have yet far more likely to appear. 4. Get the in game mail service working again. 5. Bring back the events which made SDUs half the price and armor for your own class appear more often and make them permanent parts of the game. Apply the armor event to amulets as well. 6. Chaos Chambers - put in "boss run" and "raid boss run" options. 7. STORY DLCs 8. Takedowns 9. Make Torgue ARs back into the automatic weapons they were in BL3. Don't have to fire faster or anything, but this would make such a difference. 10. Less gimmicky melee weapons (frying pans, peg legs), more cool-looking melee weapons with fun effects. Salt and Battery is a great example 11. Put all Overworld encounter arenas into the Chaos Chambers 12. Wheel of Fate should only drop DLC-specific gear / cosmetics 13. Make it possible to pay one lump sum to choose your anointment at the reroller 14. Make it possible to reroll stats / skills / classes / elements (each individually) on armor / rings / amulets 15. Rework the bottom half of the Clawbringer tree in a significant way so it is a) better, b) more fleshed out
--My Thoughts: -Enchantments: Yes, we need an actual "Discover" mechanic for the re-rolls. (Choice of three to choose from.) My price would be 8000 moon orbs be able to straight up pick what you want. -Workbench: It should just be a part of any "Hub" area. Workbench should be able to mod any gear together granted you have enough of them and all the stats to combine. (Basically this is like a Grinder. One I've suggested in the past as well.) Obviously the bigger the customization, the higher the moon orb price. -Class feats: You are not understanding that the Brr-Zerker cold bonus also stacks with the bonuses from armor and amulets. Same with Stabbo crits. Claw Dragon does have unique attacks if you go down the tree far enough. Perhaps you are either forgetting this or you didn't know? -Mini-Bosses: Yes, they should be re-spawning in the normal areas and not just as obelisk bosses in Chaos Chamber. -Luck System / Loot Drops: It's rough out there man... We could use better dedicated drops for legendary gear. -Chaos Leveling: Agreed on the more levels done per chaos run thing. -Chaos Chamber: You are complaining about the HARD curses being HARD. Please let that one sink in. Also each raid bosses does have dedicated loot to each of them. Again, this is you being sorta ignorant. -Endgame: You are pointing out a LOT of content that without their stories to them are literally just the chaos chamber but with much bigger and longer areas. I don't understand how people don't see this. -Leveling: I think we need up to lv 60-70 with one more skill tree in the multiclass system. Don't need to do four skill trees. Actual DLC Story Ideas: I've been leaving these around. But here I go again, -Spectral Seas, Love and Crabs. Join Three Woods and LeChance in the afterlife for tons of pirate-y hijinks! Also take on Crabmerax, God of all Crabs! -The quest for METAL. Everyone's favorite Bard-Barian has an epic quest for you! Help him find the most METAL riff in all the Wonderland! Also blow up a volcano! FOR MUTHA [BONK]ING METAL REASONS!!! The people around the area claim an old Daemon live in there. BUT WHO CARES?! BLOW IT THE [BONK] UP!!! -Return to Dragon Keep. Archeologists claim they've found the old ruins of Dragon Keep, but what have they really unearthed? Fight hoards of undead trees, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and other undead things, till you reach the source of this undead hoard! Also, the old raid boss has amalgamated into a giant skele-dragon! Might want to bring some friends again! -Dream vaycay to Mimic Islands. Mimic Islands is home to the BIGGEST LOOT CHEST in all the Wonderlands! But it's said people have been going missing recently after seeing it. Better send in the Fatemaker!
Heyo - Class feats: True the Brr feat stacks with other frost bonuses, but you also get spell dmg buffs from other sources as well - comparing just the feats there's a huge contrast. Crit chance you can have all the buffs in the world imo doesnt compared to dmg buffs of 50-80%. Also true dragon has other attacks when spec'd, but other pets get it for freee - Chamber: Incorrect I'm complaining about them being the wrong type of difficult in their nature - a challenge should be something with skill and/or practice you could get better at or over come, just yeeting 75-100% of your dmg output or literally making melee builds impossible to use isn't a challenge - it's preventing the gameplay they advertised (imo ofc) I like the other hard curses - Also I did say raid bosses have dedicateds, not ignorant on that, just said they should be worthwhile exclusive dedicateds - aka like I mentioned the Queens Cry is a top tier pistol the maker drops, but why farm it from her when bunnies drop it ez or its a WD from anywhere else? My point was to incentivize farming those dedicateds from raid bosses - Endgame, kinda long to re-explain/elaborate in a YT comment, but i see your POV, I meant more compare the execution of the Maliwan takedown vs the execution of the mirrors currently. If you read K6's comment for DLC improvements above, he points out certain aspects of the mirrors that either dont make sense orrr currently don't incentivize replayability like the takedowns did. I also think the idea of the mirrors was good, imo they should have been 1 DLC drop, and they missed on a few key aspects - leveling: I meant it would result in 4 trees with multiclassing, aka each character would have two each 😅four each would be nuts with mutliclasssing Those are banger DLC ideas!
I know this is an old video but the biggest problem is that not only is 2k not listening to their players but they have made it extremely difficult to provide any sort of feedback whatsoever. Their support page lists a "feedback" option but once you submit that all you get is an auto response saying that they don't look at these and you should go to the forums. The forums are dead. No one posts there. No one reads them. I'm not even sure how many people know about them. So essentially the dev team is operating in an echo chamber where the only feedback they're getting is their own. As far as we know, they think they're doing a great job. That is probably fueling some of the frustration and toxicity, which while never justified, is at least understandable.
1. Trials 2. Arena 3. Vault cards ( something to grind for) 4. Takedown 5. Adventure mode with bounties like Diablo 3 did) 6. more dedicated drops 7. Better drop rates on higher chaos levels (max chaos level chaotic rarity should be the norm) 8. Better class feats for the other classes (doesn't need to be like spell shots but something) 9. Events like 3 had 10. Utilize the DND vibe the game has 11. I would rather have had a rehash of assault on dragons keep then the 4 mirrors
Idk if these are as basic as I think they are but there are two main differences that’d make this game more grindable for me personally. 1) more story based content. It’s a DnD based game, making it possible for literal endless stories. Compared to bl3 it feels like there’s so much less story stuff. I know it’s not a main game entry so there’s not gonna be anything to the main timeline but with this game we don’t need that. Endless possibilities with all of our favorite characters. Just imagining a side story involving Krieg, tannis, maybe even Ava to help make her more likable. Lol or any of the old vault hunters. That’d be sick! I’d play and replay. 2) getting specific rolls on items like class mods, amulets and rings seems impossible in my experience. I understand it’s an rng thing, but god damn I have almost 9 days in the game and my best amulet for my best possible build it’s still only a chaotic purple. Maybe I still don’t know how to optimize my builds but like I said 9 days of playtime and followed so many build guides to try and figure this game out. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but that never seemed to be an issue getting into each other lands game. I could still make a handful of different builds to play. But with this game I’ve been stuck with my stabbo spellshot cause I can’t get good enough gear to optimize any other classes ALSO surprise third thing I just thought of, something akin to true vault hunter mode would be awesome! The game feels so empty with no possible side missions on multiple characters IMO. Would love a shot at max level specific drops from side missions without having to farm bosses to get to max level before doing all the side missions.
Survivability through health gating second winds really needs to be adjusted. You can spec fully into survivability skills and abilities and it won't matter, still getting 1 shot. Since defense doesn't matter, the only stats people look for are offensive. Any item with defensive stats is immediately vendor fodder, making a majority of found items worthless.
I'd like to see: DLC with added story play More varied endgame Removal of the ability to fall/be bounced to your death on boss fights ie Dragon Lord and Vorcanar A meaningful 2nd playthrough as in BL2 for example
Bring back takedowns pleaseee Takedowns were great as you felt the scale of the bosses and different encounters With chaos chambers it feels too small and not enough carnage which bl3 nailed but Wonderlands took a step back in it
My list is as follows: 1) Increase optimal loot luck I’ve also farmed LeChance well over one thousand times - AND HAVENT SEEN A SINGLE x3 SWORDSPLOSION 2) Chaos levels need to matter There’s no reason to NOT play on max chaos level, yet there’s also no real reason to put it on after a while. After chaos 10, you’re one shotting everything in sight either way. 3) DLCs need to get better. There’s no excuse here. The price tag simply does not match the products value. Make them free, or go a different route for DLC. Maybe make each one a different one shot campaign with a different bunkermaster. 4) Jesus Christ give us something to do. Make each boss have dedicated drops. The chaos room is far too convenient. 5) The campaign is boring. It’s better than 3, but still can’t force myself to replay like I did hundreds of times on BL2.
-What do you mean by increase optimal loot luck 🤔like you want more drops for the max luck you currently have? or you want to be able to get even more look luck eg up to 100k as a result getting more drops? -max level is always the most incentivized bc progression and more play time, you're one shotting things as you get higher in the chaos levels?? what build are you using?😅 -campaign tbf will always have people that like and dislike it, BL2's story/villian was just incredibly hard to beat - I personally rly like wonderland's campaign 100x more than bl3
Liked most every suggestion. While you suggested around a big issue regarding dedicated drops. Need to fix rng. Outriders say they are reducing rng and moving to dedicated drops. This is a must for wonderlands. I have played borderlands since 2013. This is the first game(wonderlands) that has driven me to play other games.
Incentives players to visit all map location bosses to get dedicated pieces . Rng should not be 90,000 to 1( like a chryo X3 swordsplosion) keep the bunnies but guarantee drops at boss location and let rng determine quality like 500 to 1 for God role.
The one thing you absolutely nailed is that the game only incentivizes max-players to stay in the Chaos Chambers, especially since the PLC gear shows up there too....There is just zero incentive to go anywhere else b/c in many cases, your odds of getting the stuff you want is even worse in the PLC or on the wheel (which is crazy). There is also the problem that the PLCs are not much fun (even compared to the CC). Chaos chamber is fun the first 4000 times, but I feel like I am seeing it in my sleep.
99% of deaths come after the encounter is cleared in the chaos chamber. I know those deaths dont count towards your number of lives but it is a huge waste of time and when I would rather be playing something else.
When borderlands 3 was first released 3-4 years ago it released with over 6 endgame things for us to do from the 3 trails, the 3 slaughter shaft type of round base missions as then raid bosses plus all of the other side mini bosses in each map, then on 3 holidays gave us all we events to do, PLUS each dlc have us either anew raid boss or introduced the takedown raids too then gave up all of those for free a year later after we already had 6 roads for free in its first release before any type of dlc or anything was added to the game.
Great vid and particularly like the don't be toxic theme, some ideas below: 1) Give us a lot more to do outside chaos chambers, takedowns, events etc. 2) Expand on the chaos chambers with more types of runs, time trials, 3 or 4 obelisk rooms in a row, 3 or 4 bosses in a row, some loot themed runs where enemies only drop pistols or class mods etc, 1 life only runs with huge bonus to crystals rewarded are just some ideas. 3) Target farming in the game sucks right now so please increase dedicated drop rates. 4) Make the story replayable. 5) Fix all the gear that can't be enchanted. 6) Big increase to bank capacity, at least 500 more slots. 7) Remove moon orb capacity cap all together. 8) Please gives us some proper story DLC, the current season pass is the worst value I've ever paid for in any game. There's more but if they fixed all that I'd be happier!!
Although I have already moved to other games, after being majorly disappointed by the game, I still want it to be somewhat enjoyable. If I could change the game, I would: 1. fix the loot luck system. maybe make dedicated drops not affected by it, or make loot luck more impactful by increasing the amount of loot luck you get for one dice, so you have maybe 10% for each item at 60% of the dice, and/or increase your base loot luck, so each item has a drop chance of somewhere between 7%-10% with 0 dice collected. And the loot pool as a whole should be spread out as well. 2. make legendaries less of a laughing stock and give them better damage output. Idc if they are a bit gimmicky and summon meteors from the sky, but why would I use it, if it barely does any damage? 3. Rebalance the endgame scaling. Reduce the enemy bonuses for each chaos level, buff the pets, so they arent in a constant respawn loop, increase survivability with dark magic and shield buffs, whatever it takes to make it an actual looter shooter and not a ffyl simulator. 4. rework the classes to make them more balanced and actually have synergies. From my experiences its just like mixing oil and water. You put them together and dont have anything new and unique that does some crazy stuff, because they work in conjunction. Adding more skill points, and a third skill tree could probably help with that as well. Hell, I wouldnt mind too much, if that was a reward for increasing your chaos level, as long as the games balance allows it. 5. As for the DLCs (probably will never happen), make the four originally planned DLCs (I would imagine the next two wont be any different than the first two) one entire DLC and then add three seperate ones that have...something. Story content, a new TD game mode, just a massive takedown, idk. Just something that takes more than 10 minutes to complete and gives you a reason to return. 6. Make class mods more like they were in BL2. You have a certain class mod (lets take the Amnesia for example) and that class mod has a fixed pool of passives it can roll with. The Amnesia would then always roll with passives like movement speed, all damage dealt and health regen, so you only have to farm for skills and chaotic/volatile/primordial. On top of that it might also be better to split the two class bonuses apart into two armor pieces, each boosting one class. that way, you dont have to ditch a good armor piece, just because the secondary class doesnt fit and you can just mix it with some other armor piece you found before to fit your class combo. 7. idk why they changed it, but give us back the old controller layout from BL3. In Bl3, if I wanted to switch from slot 1 to slot 3, I could just press a button on the D-pad. In wonderlands I have to switch through all the other weapons, before I can use the weapon I originally want to use. 8. I would rather pay a flat amount of moon orbs to reroll enchants than having to deal with some exponential increase BS. And considering how they appearently still have a huge impact and there is still a huge amount of them, I would also like the ability to just directly handpick an enchant. 9. While we're already on it, might as well add more character customizations. Not a big fan of how hats and hair are in the same customization category or how you cant customize your companions. Or put any weapon skins on your weapons. Its odd how Wonderlands has probably the most customization options, but at the same time lacks a lot of them.
Dude everything you said is spot on! If they scrapped everything they’re working on right now and did what you said in your video, this game would be an absolute cash cow. I don’t get it. I don’t get what is happening inside game companies right now.
Fingers crossed with some time they bring it back 🤞Borderlands 3 went through states way worse than Wonderlands is currently at (with the exception of the DLCs) some times for months unfortunately (covid also didn't help) but Borderlands 3 is now in a great place across the board. Just hope it doesn't take as long this time (:
How about a way to tell the difference between primordial, chaotic and regular gear in bank (like different colors at first glance instead of opening item)? A way to collect all loot on ground or selective like all legendary+ or something? Ability to run in Overworld, walking is painful, makes me not care to bother w it unless I have to. Edit: I’d like to add that I just spent 2 days getting rest of the dice and finishing up Overworld quests, including Aaron G. I have 76088 loot luck and chests are giving me greens! Seriously?
-Loot colours for sure - collect all might be hard to implement in practice, bc then what's the radius and there's a lot of stuff on the ground in the chambers - run yes please, im hella impatient 😅 i have all movement speed buffs on my stabbo and still want moreeee - 76k unless you typo'd is bugged 66-70 is max depending on if your loot necklace is primordial/volatile etc regardless yeah theres way too many greens and blues dropping at max level with max luck ://
@@KodyMcHugh yea man idk what the deal was, that wasn't a typo bc i went in twice to look at it. I didn't think I had put on boost luck jewelry at the time. Ill see if I can figure that out more this evening. Thanks for replying!
Raid bosses shouldnt be locked behind a form of currensy or a chaos chamber. Just let me go kill the raid boss and give them loot worth killing them for but i will say i dont think the body rune should be locked behind a raid boss cuz its so hard to get healing in this game and its also hard finding gear to be able to kill a raid boss anyway.
the currency cost is just the games mechanic to incentivize you to play other aspects. Body Rune is a great item that is sort after tho, which is why its the type of item people would love the hunt from a raid boss for. The fix to your actual problem tho is they fix enemy 1 shot dmg, character health and/or shield capacity
@@KodyMcHugh the economy in this games terrible and i spend more time in my menus marking gear as trash than i do playing the game. Also i hate clicking my right stick in to mark gear as trash a thousand times a day.
You did well young Padawan. I think these are a fine list of things, and let's hope that there are more ideas from folks, and maybe something will get done
I 100% agree with the more levels per chaos trials, capping at 10 or so to max, and buffing a couple class feats (ik it's still fighting its own mechanic a little bit having stabbo buff crit chance by more would be big, or like you said adding something else) Thank you for a constructive video!
The rng in this game is absolutely insane and feels terrible in practice. I play this game every day and have so since release and I have 5 characters and yesterday i found the first championship ring with pistol damage, the first boss ring ive found with damage since the game came out and to me thats insane. I can see why so many people arent playing this game cuz it feels impossible to find anything.
Fixing mod drops would be huge. I know they have a rotation in chaos chamber where mods drop higher chance for a week, but that’s not even promoted. My highest suggestion would be a key word search or filter for the vault. It’s great that you finally have a game where the cross player storage is MASSIVE enough to hold our loot! But then I’m spending whole half hours trying to sort through it all for “that one piece” of each type of equipment. Even if just being able to pull up all X type damage things, or anything with X class power.
Kody, you had so many great ideas there! Love the idea about the moon orb rerolls by using max capacity for being able to pick the mod. That would be such an amazing change. I spent 3 days farming orbs and rerolling ONE ITEM and still didn't get the enchantment i was looking for. Love the idea to reroll the class mods. Personally, i think this is the best Borderlands game yet, but i think it's lacking content, which i feel will be added over time. Preview videos would be helpful to keep us informed about what is coming. All comments about legendaries are spot on. Thanks for putting out this video. Hopefully the dev's will hear our concerns and address them accordingly. I still think the game is fantastic, but the DLC's have been very underwhelming and i am dying for more classes and content.
My brother had to do over 100 REROLLS to get the 25% bonus to gun and crit at full health on a Primordial Body Rune shield. Having a "Discover" mechanic would be much better than what is currently implemented.
My biggest pet peeve about Wonderlands -- I play Spellshot/Graveborn (Deadshot) and use Ambi-Hextrous. When spinning for a new enchantment, I often get the Action Skill ones, which don't work for me. Since the last update, it seems like the Action Skill ones are ALL I get....I start rolling at 9 moon orbs, and by the time I get to 4000 moon orbs, all I've gotten are the Action Skill ones -- totally useless to me. You'd think the game would be smart enough to realize what character I am. Nothing more discouraging than to buy/get the Volatile or Primordial item you want, to have it spoiled on day 1 from a bunch of bad enchantment spins -- and now you need to save up to do 4000 orb spins just to make it usable. Ugh. They REALLY need to fix that.
The problem here is gearbox lazyness, all your suggestions are great but they require a lot of effort to be done, and knowing gearbox and how they treat BL3 end-game-cycle and ''fixing'' the mayhem system giving some random skills 41X TIMES DAMAGE FOR NO REASON(and is not even display on the skill card btw...), i don't see anything of this happening... probably they already move on and are working in bl2 remaster or bl4 idk... They really frustated a lot of people with OP10, later with Mayhem 2.0, and LATER AGAIN with C35, is just hard to be a borderlands fan with so much mistakes being repeated over and over again. Iam just waiting the steam release so i can play by half-price bc i did know they would stumble with wonderlands just like in bl3.
nailed it. i love borderlands to my core but so frustrated with gearbox. not to mention how they continually ignore players feedback. this is thr third game with no respawning named enemy even tho we complained about it each time. and bl3 most common complaint is the annoint system and how bad it is. their answer ? enhanced system which is even worse than annoints
The biggest issue for me is elemental pool damage. This game has enemies dropping pools way more than any other and I think they should be adjusted too not just one shot you. Also the wastard needs big adjustments.
Spicy water/puddles are super annoying, they did nerf the amt of dmg they do in the patch tho so it should hit anywhere near as hard anymore.. typically I have a couple seconds to get out now
I agree with you mostly except when it comes to that customizing class mods idea. Its a great idea definitely but i100% believe we should be able to customize them outside the chaos chamber. The cost should definitely be there but defeating raid bosses in order to do it requires good builds but when you can get good gear to drop or customize your current gear you'd be stuck farming for who knows how long. Like you said there are already 5-6 main things to worry about when looking for class mods not including passing. It would just be too hard if you had to wait until after defeating Tina.
Yep, the "Workbench" should be part of any Hub area. So long as you have the multiple versions of that gear to combine and the moon orbs to pay, you should be able to at any hub world. It's kinda like an advanced version of the pre-sequel grinder when you think about it.
Yeah fair point, I also like the idea of it being in the hub. My thought was it gave another reason to grind the raid bosses themselves, which currently dont have much incentive other than testing builds. And modifying a classmod to be perf is an endgame achievement so the ability to take on the raid bosses would be required (in my thought process)
@@KodyMcHugh I totally get what your saying. It would just be hard to do on a normal basis especially when sometimes not all 3 raid boss symbols can be in a chaos run. Idk if it's more common for others but it's rare for me. I think your idea with fixing the dedicated loot drop system and allowing bosses to be respon-able would pair perfectly with having a workbench in a hub area (this just popped in my head but maybe have them tied to the obelisks in some way to give them replay value besides just a miniboss idk) My only issue is because of loot luck and drops how they currently are it's very hard as a semi-casual (if the game were more rewarding for my time I'd definitely be playing it more) to get gear to drop to fit builds to take on the raid bosses.
I fully agree with everything you said, great job! I think they should make the current season pass content a free element for all, then create some real DLC for current and future pass holders. IMO I think the season pass was the biggest slap in the face since...well, ever. Charging 30USD for four chaos chamber like levels with a boss at the end. Ones that an average player like me on chaos 35 can still complete in 10-15 mins. Why not bring some more characters Tina knows into the fold? It was awesome to see Brick and Torgue but hey there's plenty more. Look at TTADK...
I completely agree with the raid boss, extra skill tree, and I wouldn't mind your idea for chaos trials or just having the mayhem thing where you can just go straight to chaos 35 which I only say because of the max being as high as it is
It seems like wonderland pr team is hiding in a tornado shelter. Love these points. Melee weapons in-game but you can't melee bosses... Dedicated loot drops are defenitely needed. Farming the barf bunnies is the most frustrating mechanic. Miss the mail system. Miss weapon skins. Legendaries in this game are disappointing
Best BL youtuber, no toxic crying and moaning about the game, appreciating the good things about it, which are alot of things, and mentioned many things that can make it better. I still have hope for TTW as well, I hope they turn it around with some more end game content!
First of all i still enjoy the game and Maybe more than bl3 and 2 (didnt like the pre sequel) because im now playing more on endgame and figuring out building ect. But some things i like to see changed. Inventory sort by: equiped/faforite ( helps a lot on console with the enchantment roll) A chaos Chamber trial with only bosses Just for fun and looting An actual dlc with content not Just another chaos Chamber I wold love to see a D&D type endgame or dlc And What i mean by that Is a random run random room (can be monsters, lootchests, puzzels, buffshrine.) And in combinatie with a dice system throw low hard enemy(s) throw high easy ect.
Truee that was another thing I was discussing on stream, forgot to mention in the vid. Not sure if it's a thing where then people would be like 'why stop at 3, why not 4?' But personally I think 3 could work 🤔
I’d like to know how much DPS from the companions and more breakdown of theorycraft data from the end data screen before you go to the rabbit room. This could be an advanced option so normal people can avoid if they don’t need the detail. Thus you can tweak various builds. Maybe this data could be available on failed boss encounters so you can see where you went wrong. WoW does this where it has a text output on what you did. I love the way the game lights up my Corsair K100 keyboard but the keyboard is dark on the DLCs, so I have to disable this feature in the iCue software when running in a DLC. And if you die in a DLC you go back to start rather than just retry the boss. Perhaps the hardcore amongst you prefer a failure on a boss means you have to go back to the DLC flag. Blizzard have lots of content but we pay a monthly subscription fee, probably Gearbox won’t do much outside the paid DLC unless there was a subscription model.
No moon orb cap would be great, as we will need a lot anyway and it wont change the fact that we need a lot like you said, world buffs being all spread to the player's account like they changed with the lucky dices, would be awesome. DLCs with other regions of the world (another map perhaps?) and other side quests because side quests are what made this game fun Quests reward should be stronger that what you currently have at your level. Most of the time, i just sell them, so while the text and abilities are nice, its not worth it. Give me more money instead, it would save me the time of having to get to a vending machine. Like you said, chaoctic, volatile and primordial chances should go up, always. The rates should be a little higher too. Maybe they will add another chaos level cap soon too? Having a the monsters buffed more for each chaos level could ensure its not too easy to go to max chaos level For the DLCs : - Give us way more soul orbs per run. Its incredibly too low a reward for the time it takes to farm them. - Side quests based content
it would be really cool to see a third unique skill tree per unique multi class, so if you’re like a spore + stabbo aka Mistdancer you get access to a unique tree based on this combo just for this combo to help accentuate said play style
Dope idea 100% but yeah just too many combos for them to realistically do it - currently its a stretch to think they'll make 1 extra for the 6 they currently have 😅
@@KodyMcHugh maybe not a full skill tree maybe like a half or less one, maybe they can be free skills or idk, maybe augments maybe a 3rd class feat and action skill, or just something anything unique to incentive unique multi classing because as it’s stands the 2nd class usually just serves to power the main class, some unique bonus for classing certain combos would feel meaningful
Not to mention that if everything is going to end up in the chaos chamber barf bunnies than the loot pool will be too big, being clogged up by everything. Gearbox needs more dedicated drops and refarmable unique enemies so that this doesn't happen
Thats true my b it's not a full progression blocker but they stop scaling to your level - so if you push through you could probably hit dragon lord at 24-25 ish depending on how hard you're trying to zoom through - but they'd be level 34 and destroy you unless you're exploiting something.. bc a regular set up wont stand a chance with that scaling 😅
@@KodyMcHugh just did a run to test, got to dragon lord at 25(did loot/xp shrine) with no sidequests. hit lvl 26 during the fight with my stabbo/claw build and a lvl 4 Crossfire(Contagion build, obviously unoptimized). Took me over a dozen tries, but spawning Bernadette locks you into phase 2 of the fight. So that helps. the for the laughs, did the chaos chamber test with Rogue Lite curse, haha FYI, that Crossfire was my first Legendary drop on my initial playthrough. I feel like its super rare.
The one thing I was mostly expecting from the game to have dungeons so what if there was an rogue-like dungeon with an final boss at the end of the run kinda like dungeon of the dead god game, I loved it for its replay ability and difficulty.
everything you say here makes total sense! I also miss my hellwalker… 😞 also hate looking for class mods….. pain is real! I would like more overworld side missions in the pay for DLC…. I enjoyed walking around up there, but know I stay in chaos chambers or dlc world… feels like a waste of a great idea that no one uses after you finish the game…..
True, a reason to use it would be cool, maybe a raid boss or end game content only accessible via the overworld? Side missions would also be cool, but once completed you're back in the same place..
Give the raid bosses rare dedicated drops which is some of best loot in the game or even make it suck it doesn’t matter as long as they have rare drops but as of now they drop nothing rendering them completely pointless to fight more than once
bro, then could make a takedown that is like, ohh an evil wizard is in a tower and you have to clear floors and after x amount of floors you would reach the boss, but you could leave the tower after each floor, it increases in difficulty, and there are some mini bosses, after x amount of floors and have them all drop something that is good. Each floor would either be mobbing, for a certain amount of time like 2 min, or kill like 75 enemies, or even kill this boss, and there could be some lucky think like a random elevator, which could either put you on a higher floor or a lower one, and if you were on the 1st floor, it could take you to a basement to fight an underground boss, and if you don't wan't to do that there are stairs, that only go up from the 1st floor, or a portal to the next and previous floors.
These are all good ideas. Unfortunately, they will never do any of these. The only thing that keeps me playing is playing split screen with my 7 yr old daughter. Quite entertaining
They're taking a hot minute, but I think they implement at least a few, like the respawnable bosses, spreading the loot pools and adjusting dedicated drop rates - they did all of those on multiple occasions based of community feedback in BL3
It would be nice to be able to fast travel around overworld. And more side quests. And it would be cool if you could respec the secondary class on class mods.
Raids. Takedown style raids. I don’t mean this in a mean way but it does baffle me that BL3 had some amazing new ideas like the takedowns, multiple slaughters and even the proving grounds with a raid boss switch and none of that has appeared in this game. Maybe the chaos chamber is slaughter 2.0 so I’ll take that but a large dungeon with 2-3 bosses in it like the takedowns would be amazing.
Yeah the Mirrors DLC should have been 1 collective imo and it would have been enjoyed, not a hit bc they have other problems, but the main thing everyone dislikes is they're sooo short by themselves and as a result the price tag
Please, let me replay the camping, as other Borderlands do. For me is the second best campaing of the saga, and i will love to do it again at chaos 35. I just can't understand why take away that option.
I think the reason they didnt was a v small percentage of players touched TVHM in bl3 - i doubt they'd add one now tbh :// but in future games it'd be nice for there to be an added incentive to complete a second play through, not to make them mandatory (bc not everyone likes each of the campaigns) but something to incentivize the majority to try a TVHM when they didnt in BL3
Giving us an actual roadmap for wonderlands so we can have some sort of idea what direction they're taking with the game. Do I give up hope now? Or is the second season pass going to be worth the money it's printed on and actually contain content worth playing? Are we getting any free content added? Seasonal events? Just want gearbox to tell us wtf is going on with the game, at least an apology for the current state of it.
I like to see an equivalent of the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode so I can re-run the game at L40. TBH I find the Chaos Chambers boring as hell. They'd be great as a DLC but don't like them as an endgame.
I think the reason they didnt implement it for wonderlands is there was an incredibly low percentage of players that touched TVHM in BL3 - again be there was no real incentive for most people.
Kryl needs fixing, I was stuck on Chaos 7 for so long, every time you get his shield down he just auto heals, by far the most frustrating thing in the game so far
i think if tiny tinas got more content like bl3 did this wouldve been the best game in the series. tiny tinas feels so much better to play than bl3 and bl2.
Not enough legendary items. Id rather headhunters, then mirrors I love all of the headhunter packs but don't like the mirrors. I like everything you said as well. We need a takedown and seasonal events
Tons of good points for me personally there seems to be a problem with melee atm and I haven't seen anyone talking about it. I'm sad to say its made me put the game down for now as it's killed my build melee hits arnt counting for 15-20 seconds I'm on ps4 crossplaying with a friend on ps5 if this gets fixed please lemme know anyone 😎
Oh that sucks, I have a melee build and have never experienced that. You can try sending a ticket into 2k support with all the info around the bug you know of, they can filter problems and get to fixing them a lot easier through that system (:
@@KodyMcHugh ohhh thanks very much I ain't very good with technology outside of games but it's nice to know I can do something about it cool of you to say 😎
Its a bummer I couldn't re play the story again with a maxed out level character. If they just let me replay the campaign again that would solve a huge problem for me. end game sems so empty and not worth the grind as a solo player before I get bored
If anyone from the wonderlands team is actually reading this (impossible), please just listen to your community. Right not you're not even pretending to.
I played this game up until very recently. I love the game but playing it doesn't feel satisfying. If I'm running the same Chaos Chambers thousands of times I'd hope to get some cool gear, make my time worth it, but it's not Lucky Dice is an awful machanic, loot luck in general is. I'm either switching gear every second or I'm not at my most powerful, and with how laggy the menu is this gets annoying fast. And even after I take hours looking up guides for the brain numbing task of lucky dice I still have a lower drop rate compared to older entries. And there are so many more parts and rolls than ever needed before to make any build work. I've played for weeks without getting a single improvent. That's not time rewarding, and for an RPG that's the main thing you need to be. I didn't mind the DLC model at first, but it literally adds nothing to the game. I payed extra to do the same thing I've been doing I'm bored and fraustrated because this game wants you to waste your time with no reward, and when you're doing the same thing over and over again (because it's the only content in the game) then you start getting bored and fraustrated at other stupid decisions. The Health Gating is a terrible bandaid for balancing and half the curses are unreasonable for 90% of builds. I've defended this game when everybody else shitted on it. I've played it religiously but I'd rather use my time else where. I love this franchise so I truly hope it can get fixed. It feels like a money grab which is really fucking sad as I've only ever preordered Borderlands and Capcom games as they were the only studios I could trust (I could never trust Gearbox, but I could trust them with Borderlands)
This game needs to be trashed and remade. The loot system needs to be completely reworked. The guns aren't special at all or do crazy things. Returnal had better weapons. They need to add raid bosses and get rid of the mirrors and chaos rooms. The overworld needs to be reworked because it's boring and unneeded currently. Maybe make it an actual game board and have to roll to move around.
Make the game worth playing, the dlcs are the worst the series has seen. No reason to cry over spilled milk. But only reason to play is to get chaos/volatile/primordial versions of gear. It's boring. BL3 had so much more quality content.
