Metric - imperial system: it always amuses me when I see people using the imperial system and they are "a hair of a square" and nothing works. Building a house using the metric system is much easier, everything fits together.

I like to know how much something costs in total before I actually pay! It isn´t rocket science to include all taxes on a price tag. It´s the same with the US tipping culture in restaurants! I don´t want to do any kind of calculation in order to know how much my food will be including tip. Just raise the prices and pay your staff better. In my eyes a tip should just be a little bonus and not a necessity!

100% agree. But unfortunately, people rely on tips to survive.

Here in America where getting a degree is more than buying a house 🤔. It's all about $$$ here.

US college education has become very expensive but that has historically not always been the case, especially for public universities. As far as I understand it, it has been a deliberate political choice to have the students pay instead of the US taxpayer.

Yep! The school I went to was free when my mother was 18.

Es macht durchaus Sinn, den Monat vor dem Tag zu nennen. Allerdings fände ich es dann auch sinnvoll, das Jahr vor dem Monat zu nennen. Monat, Tag, Jahr finde ich durcheinander.

I once read that the spelling of a date, especially in the USA, comes from the fact that at times of slower information flow, e.g. through the Pony Express, the most important information was the month and not the day, as it could vary in each case. Incidentally, I didn't find your controversial topics so controversial.
