My golden retriever and labradoodle make our house a home. They are also my chaos to calm balance, they stop my home from looking too contrived. Please medora, always tangent, it's the cherry on top for me~

I think that for me it’s utility, I’ve always like to think about the flow of my daily life, and where certain piece of furniture would make the most sense, especially since I live in a tiny space and I don’t have the space to dedicate a different area to each of my home activities. For exemple my dinner table is also extra prep space for my kitchen, my office and where I do a lot of my hobbies (painting, sewing, video game on my computer). I also think about it when I buy furniture, like my kitchen chair are foldable because most of the time it’s only me and it’s freeing up some space for other things. The fact that I can access everything that I could need for where I would normally do the activity make my space feel custom to me, and therefore like home. Hope that makes sense.
