Buffloaf commonly called 'bofrot' was introduced to Nigeria by Ghanaian migrants; the reason it's called Ghana buns in Nigeria. Same with Jollof rice which only became popular in Nigeria from the late 90s through early 2000. I far as I can remember, the average Nigerian used to boil rice separately and add it to already-made stew. Nigerians only started making noise about jollof when they learned to prepare it as a one-pot dish using the Ghanaian recipe. Ghanaian migrants most of who were highly skilled professionals brought a lot to Nigeria and contributed immensely to its education, healthcare, and other areas that needed skilled expertise. 'Ghana Must Go' was borne out of envy and anger toward Ghanaian migrants who were occupying jobs supposedly meant for Nigerians Also, there are more dark-skinned people in Ghana because skin bleaching is frowned upon, even ridiculed. Bleaching is largely associated with uneducated, low-income, or those who lack self-confidence. Unlike you know who, where whole families bleach en masse with some tribes even associating dark skin with evil. Simply put, Ghanaians are proud of their natural looks and will confidently flaunt it anywhere.

When a Ghanaian says he or she doesn't have stable light what it means is that for a whole day there's light and maybe 1 or 2 hours no light for cos of electrical lines repairs. To a Ghanaian not having light for only one hour is even highly unacceptable.

In the 80s I was old enough to remember that a lot of women were r3cruited to go and cook and sell jollof waatkye puff puff bofroat plaintain and beans and work for business women to bake the various GHANIAN breads. They told us Nigerians were not cooking jollof so they taught them. They told us in the mornings there will be long ques to buy Ghanaian food before people went to work. Many people don’t know we introduced jollof to Nigeria. They want everyone to be equal in church as it’s not a fashion show. Ghanaians are darker in percentage than Nigerians it’s true

Skin color is not just based on ethnic group. Within the same ethnic group we find different shades of skin color. Skin color is based on melanin. Melanin makes all the differences in skin color. Those with more melanin are dark, and those with little melanin are fair in skin color. There are more people with fair skin color in Nigeria than Ghana and there more people with dark skin color in Nigeria than Ghana. So Nigeria has more people with dark skin than Ghana. It seems most Nigerians are obsessed with skin color. Even Nigerian movie actors are categorized. There is a category for fair skin actors. Ghanaians love and appreciate their natural skin color. Melanin is beautiful.

We Ghanaians don’t like these what shocked me videos because although you mean well some of your people accuse Ghanaians of hyping ourselves up which is not true. Many normal ethical and orderly necessities shock Nigerians difficult to understand why.

First! Most Ghanaians as well as people in general enjoy or are interested in knowing foreigners perspective of their country. Secondly, seems like you didn’t watch the video before commenting because none of your fears were met in this particular video. And lastly, there are no 2 countries that have same way of life and culture, that these things are normal to you doesn’t mean it’s the defined way of life . It’s okay if foreigners are shocked about something new , I mean , if you watch my previous videos you’ll see that some things done in some part of my country is shocking , talk more of a whole country:)
