The way i see it and understand it's Nature is that Black Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) was not bluffing when he said Itachi is invincible and i will explain my observation. Both Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror are Ethereal Weapons, Ethereal as a word means the following: Of or relating to the regions beyond the earth, Celestial, Heavenly, Unworldly, Spiritual, lacking material substance: immaterial, intangible. The Yata Mirror was an ethereal shield wielded by the left arm of Itachi's Susanoo. It is said to be endowed with all nature transformations, and is able to change its characteristics to any nature transformation to completely negate any attack, whether it be spiritual, or physical. So if it says it contains all nature transformations,this doesn't just mean the basic 5, It means ALL, and the fact that it blocks Spiritual attacks as well proves that, as we all know spiritual attacks belong to Yin Release. If i understand something from this it's that the Mirror contains: Fire Release Wind Release Lightning Release Earth Release Water Release Yin Release Yang Release Because it can't possibly contain all 6 and leave yang out and it does say that it blocks physical attacks as well. And there is no jutsu that is not composed of those Nature transformations even Mangekyo abilities, so even genjutsu or Kamui or teleportation won't pass through the mirror. You're both wrong. Neither Itachi or Madara *BROKE* out of the reanimation on their own and by their own strength when the jutsu was *active* only *HANZO* has done it on his own, his own strength. Itachi didn't activate the Koto Amatsukami from his own free will and skill, the plot required it to happen but average Naruto enjoyer doesn't know how edo-tensei works. The tag is BY DEFAULT inside EVERY reanimated character. The TAG has its coding that FORCES the CHARACTER to DO stuff. Itachi didn't activate his MS to make the Koto to emerge, that was THE TAG that MADE him to do so. Madara knew the hand signs how to undo the contract to the jutsu caster and he used that knowledge AFTER the release of the jutsu, not when it was active. Hanzo is the onlyone that canonically resisted the jutsu when it was active and when Kabuto attempted to infuse more chakra to take over his mind. Hanzo is above the mentioned two in feats of breaking out of edo-tensei because he is the onlyone who has done it UNDENIABLY.

It's not as MS ability. It's an item. A spiritual item. Itachi infused it into either his sussano or his spirit, and it only manifests through sussano. Same with itachis snake sword. There's been less than 10 MS users in naruto history.

Just stop and look at all the freaky creatures, like samaehada, the rasheman gates, hashiramas living wood monsters, the death god, the weird spirit mouths that red head in the sound 4 had. Ect... There's probably an entire realm to the naruto verse that's just hinted at. Look at pain, he summons mutant animals, that are giants, the king of hell. So much of this world isn't explanated

They're not a separate system, almost all ninja just neglect the gates because they've got other things to specialize in and it just takes apparently far less effort to learn almost any jutsu set then to even unlock the first gate.

All of itachi's attack are of short-mid range... Also it costs a lot of Chakra... Though its hard to take down him, he can't sustain long fight.... Shinobi meeting this criteria might have a chance

@@YiLunMusk In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making Itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just any ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series.) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick than most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can some of you guys even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totuska Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying Itachi and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷🏻‍♂️ Here are the things that make Itachi so formidable. Tsukuyomi - A genjutsu so powerful that you literally can't escape it unless you have the same blood as Itachi, as stated by Itachi himself and proven later by Sasuke, or you're a jinchuriki. Jinchuriki are supposed to be immune to genjutsu but it hasn't been proven, but when Bee was fighting Edo Nagato and Itachi with Naruto, he said to watch out for Tsukuyomi explicitly. Literally 99% of all opponents fighting Itachi have no way of stopping Tsukuyomi. You could have the power to split the planet in half and it wouldn't matter. (Want to know why? - Kakashi pretty much state it in the actual anime and manga that Tsukuyomi it's such a dangerous Genjutsu Technique because it happen in a instant, even if you realize that you are trapped in the Tsukuyomi, it will be too late, because Itachi could approach you during that time in the real world (or he can use an Explosive Clone to approach you without you even realizing it in time and he can pretty much finish you before you can even realize, - 72 hours in Tsukuyomi realm means 1 second or a couple of seconds in the real world. Tsukuyomi can't be broken, when used to it's fullest.) The Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror - The Susanoo itself is a near invincible defense but these two weapons take it to the next step. The Sword of Totsuka can seal "anything" if it even touches it. It's completely OP. It's hard to fight a guy that can seal you away if his sword even touches you. The Yata Mirror is even a bigger deal in my opinion. It doesn't block attacks, it's "negates" them. You could throw an Amaterasu covered Bijuu bomb at Itachi and the Yata mirror will negate it, making it so the Susanoo doesn't even need to take a blow. You could punch the Yata mirror and the force will completely be negated. His biggest strength of all: tactical intelligence - Itachi always outsmarts and plans for everything because the plot demands it. You're physically strong? Itachi is already 2 steps ahead of you knowing exactly what to do. You're extremely fast? Again, 2 steps. You're going to try and outlast Itachi in a fight? Good luck. To add to this, some of the 3 most powerful techniques in the verse are due to his intelligence and planning ability; Izanami, Izanagi, and Kotoamatsukami. Izanami - A forbbiden genjutsu technique that allows you to alter someone's destiny. Impossible to break out of even if you know you're in a genjutsu without complying with the users set destiny for you. Even someone like Bee, a perfect Jinchuriki, can't escape Izanami unless he does what Itachi wants him to. Izanagi - You somehow gained an advantage over Itachi? He makes it so that advantage never happened. Kotoamatsukami - Though Shisui's technique, Itachi has his eye which effectively makes it his weapon. A genjutsu so powerful that the person it's cast on doesn't even know they're under a genjutsu. Like the Tsukuyomi, completely OP. To add to all of this, Itachi is pretty good at hand to hand combat, is great with shuriken, is extremely fast, is great with regular fire techniques, is slippery and unpredictable, and has the extremely dangerous and fast Genjutsu style of fighting approach that can caught you off guard almost at any time. With all of these things considered you've got one dangerous ninja. Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) he state it in the anime and also in the manga that these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. This is why Kishimoto basically had to give him a handicap: Naruto AIDS. 🤷🏻‍♂️ ☯️

Wrong. Just because you're not allowed to *kill* your opponent, doesn't mean that you're not fighting at your fullest potential. The restriction is a rule to win a fight, not the definition to lower your capabilities. Itachi did his best and tried his hardest to complete the ass-pull no jutsu to win a fight that he couldn't possibly win under said conditions on his own. He literally rushed towards a guy who he had bare minimum if any intel on and he was lucky to have a Sasuke there to aid him. The Uchiha brothers both needed eachothers equally and only together could they stop Kabuto since NEITHER one of the two had ANY defense against auditory senjutsu enhanced genjutsu. They both needed to use their STRONGEST genjutsu to break eachothers out of it. Also, the edo-tensei Itachi > alive ill Itachi. His restrictions are taken away and even a hacks to spam them. Edo-eye is as good as original eye apparently due to Izanami. That eye will vanish and affect the spirit but you can use it for that purpose even though they're FAKE. So honestly, I don't know WHAT nerfs did Itachi have during his edo when comparing to his last moments when he was still alive and the very fight he had with Sasuke.

Sasuke indra's arrow wipes out itachi and his susanoo even with a head on Collison. Stop with the no limits fallacy. You are technically implying that yata mirror can withstand even out of universe attacks like Saitamas serious punch or a super Kamehameha. And theres plenty of in universe moves like juubi tailed beast bomb or hashirama's 1000 hand statue that would destroy the yata mirror.

Yes that is a good starting point. Those items seem to be on pair with the Sage Tools and are never mention again. Should not Sasuke have those after Itachi die? Or Obito? He got the Madara fan but not those two awsome weapons? Big plot hole.

Yata mirror and Totsuka are exclusive to Itachi's Susanoo, similar to the myth it's based on where the God Suano'o carried these weapons to kill the three headed Orochi serpent before it was given to Amatarasu, however when other characters were given the Susanoo it was decided to make them all different to the user which why the others don't carry these weapons.

@@if7723 My theory for that is that The weapons were a rare recessive trait to an Uchiha ancestor's Susanoo( most likely an ancestor of Itachi) and Itachi just inherited it after some generations, this was probably passed down as legend and Orochimaru tried looking for them without realizing it was only an Uchiha/Susanoo trait and one that only existed in one individual prior to Itachi.

I don't think so. Spiritual weapons most likely mean yin release, because we know yin release deals with Spiritual half of chakra. It also involves chakra powers that Indra inherited, as Obito told Naruto. Sossano itself is an example of that. Truth seeking orbs are not just five chakra natures and yin release but so involves yan release. That's why they don't just block any jutsu, they completely negates it. Otherwise yata mirror is totally bs that can't by explained by the magic system of story and would break it.

Key words if the story had been up to kishi but that hasn't truly been the case even from day 1 kishi may be the author on the cover but Naruto as a series has always been a pot of his ideas plus those who work with him. A world where kaguya or Boruto didn't happen would basically be a world where Naruto's history as a story realistically would become very different. Because what happened to Naruto with it's ending and what came after is just The nature of being a part of the shounen jump lineup with very few exceptions.

I didn't truly understand just what that meant until I became an author to be myself and learned a lot about the publishing world basically whether it's Manga or novels unless you are self published you are very unlikely to be able to write whatever you want with full freedom.

Besides the writer isn't good at writing humans behaving realistically, because then everyone would be overpowered. Narutos Chakra system is broken with no balance.

in Japanese Mythology the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror were the products of the god Susanoo and In a similar way it is exclusively for Itachi's Susanoo, Orochimaru and Zetsu probably knew about it because it was a rare ability from an ancient Uchiha's Susanoo that was only passed generations later to Itachi and no one else which is why other Susanoo don't possess these weapons like Madara, Sasuke, Kakashi etc.

It doesn't matter if he can bend time and space if his attack is only usable once and he dies after. Tsunade and Sakura are able to do these on a whim. Plus guy was getting help from so other ninjas to help him combat madara.

He bent time and space with his punches which caused Madara to stay locked in one place unable to move. Sakura and Tsunade haven't shown anything close to dat level. The best feat shown between the 2 of em was when Tsunade cracked Madaras Susanoo and it was only the rib cage. It wasn't the full thing with all layers like Itachi’s or the perfect Susanoo. 7th gate Guy has a more impressive feat against Madaras second stage Susanoo when he literally blew it away with his Daylight Tiger. Sakura and Tsunade aren't anywhere near 8th gate level in terms of striking power

@teezus2036 Guy's attack did nothing to Susanoo, it just pushed it away and that was a half body susano.... Tsunade was able to dmg 3 full body susanoo and break 2 of their swords, which scales higher than the defense. It was only 1 move that bent time and space, and that was the night guy. Nothing else did anything. Tsunade and Sakura punches do a lot more dmg and they can throw them out on a whim. Madara didn't even use his ts orbs to block the attack. Night guy didn't even do anything substantial to the environment went it hit compared to what Tsunade and Sakura can do. Not only that, but a fatigued Sakura was able to dmg Kaguya in her base form

And Madara literally did use his orbs to try and block Guys attacks 💀. Kakashi and Minato jus teleported away the pieces of the orbs Madara was using . And Sakura damaging Kaguya doesn't put her above 8 gate Guy 💀. Kaguya was never shown or stated to have greater durability than an average shinobi ,she just has instant regenerative powers . And Tsunade never damaged a full body susanoo . the strongest suanoo shes ever damaged is the skeletal susanoo . If ur talking about Madaras Susanoo weapons , those aren't on the same level of durability as the actual susanoo (at most their on the level of the skeletal susanoo bcoz their only made up of 1 layer)
