This happen to be a very clean Arizona Lexus LX 470 wanted to share this with you to make sure that if you decided to lift your Lexus LX 470 100 series or Land Cruiser 100 series that you should check the under side before getting started or ordering parts to make sure that you don’t have any rust issues to cause any future problems.

Was the lift on this vehicle done with removing the whole AHC system or is this still working with the lift? I’m considering to lift my LX470, but I don’t want to get rid of the AHC. Is this possible?

That just CAN'T be a comfortable ride. OME is stiff and that car needs rake. To each their own, but that customer isn't getting the most out of the vehicle.

With it being level to the rear, the front will have very little down travel, no?

Nope, you definitely don't set them up level front to rear, isn't not a great idea on the IFS 100. You'll likely get vague steering and more torque steer when taking off. Trust me, they handle sooo much nicer with a bit of rake, I aim for around 30mm. And, you don't even mention how important it is in setting up the correct front ride height is for the correct droop. My guess is, you've got no idea.

I agree, clueless. You need to have at least one inch of rake front to back. Depending to if you have raised the torsion bars. He should always check the amount of droop you have at the front, should be around 70mm. More lift less droop. IFS are funny beasts. You don't really get much height out of them either way. Larger tyres are one way but you pay a premium in useing more fuel, sapping power due to more rolling mass, harsher ride, more wear and tear of bearings and a few other things. If you want more than you should have bought a 105 or something else with a live axle. Obviously yanks are not fans of Patrols or simply not aware of their capabilities compared to the IFS 100s. This guy wouldn't be touching my car.

Is stock torsion bars strong enough or should I get Land Cruiser torsion bars?

I had a buddy tell me that the fj100 torsion bars are stronger BUT when looking them up its the same part number for both the lx470 and lc100

@@jraddd3477the LC ones are indeed thicker though unless you’re looking at a LC torsion bar for a LC that has AHC.
