About this video:
Achievement Hunter is stuck at a shady fair. Now they must beat all the carnival games or get beat to death.
The Achievement Hunter gang loves the carnival. It reminds them of their youth, playing the cool games like shooting little duckies for a prize or running across a bridge of swinging death hammers. Can't forget the most important carnival staple: the fat kid that chases you around with a hammer and threatens to beat you to death unless you complete all the carnival games! Classic carnival nostalgia.

I don't really care or not if she is in a video because she is inoffensive to me. But dang Lindsay is like the equivalent of playing with a deaf grandma. Just blissfully unaware of anything and everything that is happening on screen. And any attempt at explanation bounces right off. Well at least she sounds like she is having a blast.

I don't dislike her. But it was said a few times you can jump over the walls. Yet she was stuck in the maze still at the end >> Though really this map seems to make it harder to get other zombies. It's either you catch them before they make it through or they already have the godlike guns and mow you down.

It’s easier for us to hear and understand them when we’re watching the video than for them to hear and understand each other when they’re playing the game. Obviously after Ryan mentioned it the first time he had to tell Jack later. Lindsay just missed it

Eh, it's not the "not knowing". It's the complete and utter lack of any attempt to learn. Geoff and Gavin are often terrible at new games and almost never do anything right at first. But they rapidly improve as they learn the controls and gameplay, till they become passable, with occasional failures. Lindsay sits there amidst comments of "there's a teleporter" and "you can climb over the walls" and completely ignores them. She doesn't ask questions on learning. She makes the same mistakes multiple times after having been told what the problem was.

Best example of what Krazyguy75 just said is in Skyfactory. Nobody knew what they were doing, so they learned by trial and error. What does Lindsay do? For the most just walks around without doing anything productive and rarely she asks how she can help.

You don't have to be an AH member to be good at games. In fact, most of the AH crew suck at games. But you also don't have to be an AH member to try to learn and get better at games. And Lindsay doesn't even make an attempt, basically going "I suck, who cares, I'll just sit in the corner and be silly"... which is funny for the first 1 times, and not the next dozens upon dozens. And it's not like it is one game, it is literally every game she plays, she just gives up on trying.

Well this looks boring as hell for the killer. You move so slow that you never see any actual gameplay, and anyone who dies and comes back returns with a sword and moving at full-speed. So you win by having your enemy be incompetent and kill themselves, and then join your team and wipe out their former team without you ever getting to take part. A lot of work obviously went into this game mode, but they paid no attention to actually making it fun for the opposition. The fact that the pipe is outside the gameplay area is a problem too.

I'm a little disappointed I had to scroll so far through Lindsay comments to find a single one about the game mode itself (Lindsay being a whole other topic I won't get into here). What's to stop the survivors from just running away in the parking lot? Sure it would be boring as hell for everyone involved, but as far as I can see the game mode doesn't prevent it in any way. If they do go into the fun house, then like you said it's incredibly boring for the killer and will probably end due to the survivors dying anyway. Then, if survivors do make it to the end, they get a bunch of awesome weapons and have pretty much won, but they have to sit there till the timer runs out just endlessly killing. If enough people had already died the survivors definitely could get overwhelmed at that point, but again then the killer has very little involvement. I feel a little bad saying this cause like you said a lot of work went into it, but it just looks like a terribly designed game mode and doesn't look like much fun.

I used to play this game mode back in Halo 3 days and it got intense and felt alot better since it was time based instead of puzzle based. So the survivors literally watch you slowly approach them and if they didn't pay attention to the doors they would get trapped and end up dead

The original gametype in Halo 3 didn't have obstacles you had to overcome. You start out with a shit load of weapons, turrets, equipment, etc. There were 4 levels in a square fashion, the survivors unload everything on the Fat Kid who had 4x overshields and a lot of damage resistance to try to bring him down. Usually someone gets cocky or underestimates how far the range of the Fat Kid's hammer is, or tries to go for an assassination and it backfires, and they become a weak fast zombie. They distract the attention of the remaining survivors for the Fat Kid to kill more, or they get some kills themselves. As more and more are converted, the remaining survivors have to keep off this fast horde of zombies while also paying attention to the Fat Kid slowly ever approaching. It's a lot of fun

If you run away in a parking lot then you never actually win. Regardless of whether or not you win the game according to Halo, you do have to play the game to *really* win.

I remember when Fat Kid was a game mode in Halo 3 and the map for it was that multi tiered rectangle with the center courtyard that the map was raised around. Good times.

I haven't watched Achievement Hunter in quite a while, but seeing all of these classic Halo game modes being played makes me so nostalgic. Garbo Man and Trash Compactor, excellent. Fat Kid Funhouse and the Juggernaut/Fat Kid Jenga and...well Jenga All I need now is Ice Cream Man and Duck Hunt, among any other game modes I missed, to give me full on nostalgia for Halo 3. I was quite young at the time of playing it, just getting into my teenage years, and all that free time to play fun custom games with friends are probably the best years of my life, as sad as that is. Edit: Made that comment before watching even a minute in to the video, but holy shit this is amazing. Fat Kid/Juggernaut always had "puzzles" which were mostly about jumping or breaking pallets or other obstacles, but Halo 5 Forge should be its own game because this is insane. The creator of this is absolutely amazing. Edit 2: Found Duck Hunt! Love it too!

Man this mode was one of the mainstays of Halo 3 custom lobby multiplayer. Back then we didn't HAVE carnival games, we just had to punch crates and such until they were forced out of our way, and we LIKED IT! Memes aside, this map looks amazing. So much better than the literal mazes of trash Halo 3 had to work with.

i remember one time i tried to get my grandpa to play a racing game with me when i was a teenager. when i gave him the controller and tried to tell him the X button makes him go, the square button makes you stop, and the left stick is how you steer, he looked at me like i gave him alien technology and told him to solve rocket science equations. lindsay kinda reminded me of that moment. maybe not as bad, but the fact her performance triggered that memory for me is kinda sad

Man this was the best in Halo 3. Don't get me wrong, THIS looks amazing, just had some great memories of Halo3's. Besides the kids glitching the shit out of worlds and trying to melee the fat kid from behind with a cheese move Though gotta say Fat Kid was not nearly as tough as I recall.

At first,I was like the killer is way to slow. Then seeing how the map can kill someone and give you a henchmen with speed, I was like that makes it way better,but then Lindsay was that person. She literally ruined the suspense and ending of this video. Please do this again but with Geoff or Gavin or literally anyone else not named Lindsay. Nothing against Lindsay personally,but she doesn't know what she is doing in Halo games and it makes these videos unbearable to watch.

I don't need to debunk your "argument" because you haven't made the argument for why its not Nepotism. You basically said, "So what, Lindsay worked at Rooster Teeth as a video editor?". That's not an excuse for putting her as a person playing the game. She just does not know how to play. The lack of Lindsay would make the video BETTER, but no... They are friends so screw the quality of the video. You don't even have to throw her out of the room. She is a very good COMMENTATOR.

Sorry that you don't live up to my low expectations. "You didn't even suggest a different employee to be there instead of her." I suggested no one. Its a valid suggestion. Lindsay doesn't add anything but pain when she plays badly. And this NOT suppose to be torture porn. "And, you're flip-flopping." No I am not. Just because she is a very good commentator doesn't mean that throwing her into the dark corner wouldn't make the video better. I would take the concession of having unnecessary commentary over seeing her play.

Does anyone know the name of their original Things to do in Halo: Fat Kid? Its a much older video they did where they were chased like in this but in an older halo game.
