I have always loved this channel. My husband I recently took our 5 kids to Oahu in December. But in 4 weeks we will be enjoying our favorite island of Maui. With all 5 kids and grandma. We can not wait !

We did almost everything on this list and it was awesome! I would also add, Maui Fishpond at Kalepolepo Beach Park. It felt like such a special place, with so much history. There were volunteers on site who took the time to show my children the turtles around the pond and also talk to my family about the history of the pond. They gifted my children some beautiful posters which they took to school to talk about their trip. We went on a Sunday, and it was not busy at all, and mostly local families.

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide we did that. We also booked a luau and snorkeling trip. I feel like 2 weeks won't be enough. There is so much to choose from. Definitely hitting up those food trucks though. And want to try the little Sandwich your son loves so much...I already forgot the name.

We were supposed to be on Maui last week for our family vacation ( and our 7th visit to Maui ) so, instead, we’ve been enjoying your videos the last few days, especially the bike ride through Lahaina...it’s so odd to see it so empty but we loved the whole vibe, from the music to the slow laid-back pace of the video. Aloha Meggie! Erica and I are glad you like the videos. They is no substitute for a good trip to Maui though. Governor Ige has opened the beaches for walking so stay tuned for some empty beach walks. We are staying healthy over here and while we miss visitors, we are glad people are staying home for now. Hope to see you back on Maui soon for your 7th trip and stay healthy!

The prettiest, secret beach is Slaughter House Beach. You have to park on side the highway at what looks like a straight drop cliff and walk down some very steep stairs and trees and it opens up to Slaughter House Beach.

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide you are awesome. One more question. I would like to be safe than sorry. I am 66 years old and pretty decent swimmer. My 11 year young son knows how to swim in swimming pull. I am thinking to get a rope to connect our waist or hands together, when snorkeling so we don't lose each other by getting carried away with fish. Do you recommend to tie the rope to hand or around the waist? The rope also will help, just in case my son needs help to swim to safety.

In the video, you mention Ku 'au Bay as the place to go to see sea turtles (#39), but on the Maui Kids list on the website now (5/2021), #39 talks about seeing turtles at Ho'okipa Beach Park. Is Ho'okipa the "more crowded beach with fewer turtles" that you refer to in the video? Do you still recommend Ku 'au Bay instead?

We still recommend Ku'au Bay as it is less crowded and we have had better luck there.
