I went to YN 'A' school in early 80's! It's a bit fuzzy, but I remember it being really friggin humid and having to march every morning next to a dead and rotting armadillo...why the hell they didn't have it removed.. We didn't have fridges in barracks (so now I feel robbed :P), but I think the curtains are the same (kidding). The worst part of being stationed there, however, was the overt racism in the community; in town, they still had two drinking fountains marked 'whites' and 'colored' barely whitewashed over. I sure hope it's improved. Thanks for the tour down memory lane!

I was there in 1996... We had bunks in our mod. I was a SK . the Dance club was on Wednesday... Do they still do that? Glad to see it hasn't changed.

Just got done with yn a school I’m in the fleet the school is chill if you have friends and your friends with your mod mates, the movie nights can’t be topped

I have a question why some of you guys get trained at Marines Camp Lejune, North Carolina for C class, And do they let you use your phone while attending that training? My friend is doing Religious services

Going to MEPS Wednesday to take my physical, I qualified for YN and I’ll most likely pick this job. What’s was A School like? As far as being able to workout, is there a gym on base? Also anything to do in Meridian lol

When i went through PN "A" SCHOOL in 1991 May they had this bar where u can bring your own liquor. Do they still have that?
