i too only have like 2 friends, i keep in contact w one more than the other, but i can totally relate to not having a ‘typical’ summer as seen in movies that teens/adults have w their friends. there’s quite a lot of things that you mentioned that I’m already doing, so it was great to see some similarities and some things I can implement. One being: learning a new activity, I’m actually bilingual in spanish and english and I started learning french through duolingo (for now) because I didn’t take it in high school,, so I just thought it was cool how we’re both speaking/trying to speak more in those three languages :p

@@makayla_monroe i can relate. i move around a lot and actually, i moved right before the pandemic started, so i haven’t been able to make genuine friends especially since i graduated high school during the pandemic 😕
I also relate. I have 3 friends and one of them got cancer this summer. My other 2 friends travel and are busy so it has been tough to do stuff. I haven't known them for a while, and they all live in a different city than me. But I still am grateful and love them. I'm trying to appreciate life and be thankful that I have people that care about me. I am also trying to learn and play more instruments, draw, and generally do things that make me happy.
There’s nothing like making memories with friends and this summer checklist seems like the perfect place to start. Definitely using some of these ideas ☺️

you're not alone. I just feel like I was born in the wrong generation. Everyone depends on social media and the phones to much, very few people really want to be out in the nature, swimming, camping, hiking with their friends. I don't even have friends to do those activities with me lmao
i'm glad i'm not the only one who reads like that (: when i don't, i just end up spoiling myself or losing where i'm reading😅 loved the activities though, i definitely need to start cooking more
its important to learn how to handle times of solitud, as those are the times where you mostly learn about yourself. Its not even summer here, its winter, actually, but we're in winter break and these two weeks have actually changed me a lot... Yes, i do have friends, but i havent been out a lot. I've been dealing for this past few years problems because i'm constantly being left out and that really made me feel bad for a bunch of time. But, since winter break, i have probably hung out like, 4 times? WIth my closest friends and i found out which are the people that make me happy. I still ahve quite a few problems to deal with my group of 'friends' (Not all of them are my friends, honestly), but this realization has been really, liberating? In some sense, idk. What i was trying to say- yes, friends are the absolute best. Cherish them forever and take care of them. But being by yourself is just as important too. Not even us know everything about ourselves, so spending time with ourself is just as important and can be just as fun as spending time with other people. You just need to accept that you're just as interesting and fun and things will be much better when spending time alone, i assure you

loved this vid. as a person who only has a sister to hang out with, it gets lonely and boring sometimes. while I was watching this, I planned 2 whole days of doing things with her.
Last year I spent the entire summer with my best friend, but this summer things have gone real slow. I have just been spending most of my day this summer learning new things, watching new shows, and exposing myself to new media, but i found myself still bored out of my mind.
even though 2 months of my summer holiday has already passed and i still have less than a month to go back to school, your video was so inspiring and just gave me the motivation to continue surviving and to enjoy the simpliest thinngs and enjoy my time i love you and you have such a pretty smile

I have literally nothing to do after this school year...now I'm not able to see my classmates/friends face to face. I realized I was wasting time I mean- I have so much enjoyable things to do.
