Bastille's song Things We Lost In The Fire lyric video. just something i threw together quickly, enjoy. No copyright issues intended. Go check out BASTILLE
One time, my friend was playing Minecraft on a school computer, the teacher took control of it, and then jumped him into the lava, he had just gotten diamonds too. Good times
Here's to Esmeralda and Leo Valdez. She truly died, along with his happiness and light, that day :'( :'(. I'm crying. This really seems to sum up his feelings about this.
I'm pretty sure this song is referring to Rome's fall during Nero's reign just like how pompeii was dedicated to actual pompeii and icarus is about the greek myth of icarus. Also, this song truly reminds me of them.
What the fandoms lost in the fire: Tadashi Mr and Mrs. Baudelaire (I can’t spell XD) Princess Selene (SPOLIER: Not rlly tho) Hamilton’s letters to Eliza
hahahahaha I really wish that was irrelevant to my life, but, alas my childhood was ruined (in a good way) in second grade when I read those books. I still prfer them to that netflix series.
When I listen to this song, I can't help but think of this invoking painful memories for the Autobots and the Decepticons of all of the things that the flames of war consumed. But it also make me think of all the great heroes throughout fiction and history who have lost so much in their struggles.
Too many fandoms that I can relate to this! PJO/HoO-Leo Valdez Creepypasta- Ticci Toby & Jeff the killer Warriors: Yellowfang Supernatural- Must I explain? The Underland Chronicles- Too painful to explain! The Hunger Games- One word: Prim. The Spiderwick Chronicles- Don't make me explain this! 😭 Feel free to add on!
Big hero 6: Tadashi Uh... Hamilton: Alexander's letters to Eliza Wings of fire: the night kingdom? Horses of the dawn: hold on's eyesight Silverwing: Shade.... kind of...
Things this song reminds me of: Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus: Leo Valdez Madoka Magica: Kyoko's backstory Supernatural: Mary Winchester and Jess Big Hero 6: Tadashi Avatar the last Airbender: The fire nation killing all of the airbenders Fire Emblem Heroes: Book II of the story mode The Hunger Games: Primrose RWBY: Phyrra Sailor Moon: Hotaru losing her mother Black Butler: Ciel Phantomhive Fire Emblem 4: Arvis killing Sigurd and his army Infinity war 9/11 California Wildfires The Notre Dame Cathedral Kyoto Animation Amazon Rainforest
Everyone's talking about. How this reminds them of their fandoms (and I can agree that it does fit Big Hero 6) but the first thing I thought of was 9/11....
I really love this song! I know Bastille because of The Vampire Diaries and I'm pretty thankful, since it's such a great band. I love their songs, and this song is just amazing! Haha, I'm addicted.
After many years of not listening to this song I've come back after many years to pay respect to my father who died during WWII against the germans and my mother who died this year fighting breast cancer her grave will be dug tomorrow.
Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Amy and Rory Pond, Clara Oswald, Bill Potts. Many different flames, and many different versions of the same man in mourning.
You know what else was lost in the fire (And actually stayed dead) Esperanza Valdez😭😭😭 like if that isn't one of the saddest irony's in the fictional world Idk what is
I saw in a website that this song is talking about the 1871 great fire of Chicago. The lyrics were these are the things the things we lost in Chicaaaago. But were change to fire. Really great song,
Everybody's talking about Percy Jackson and Big Hero 6, and I'm here just like...Breath of the Wild This song actually suits it really well (In my opinion, at least)
I love this version so much, it feels so raw compared to the cleaner version they made an MV for. I kinda want to knew more about this version and get it more attention.
I'm glad that Bastille is not as well known as other bands because if my radio replayed their songs too much and made remixes of their songs they wouldn't be original
This may sound silly, but this song kind of makes me think of all my senior friends that have already gone on and left for college over the years. I've been a part of the marching band, symphonic band, and two school choirs, all of which have come to feel like family. Without their guidance (especially in freshman year) and friendship I wouldn't have made the amazing memories I did. Now I'm a senior and I hope I can be all that for an underclassman. :)
It makes me think of how people change after a traumatic event or loss... I know from personal experience that it can change a person and that they wont be able to be the same again. It also sounds like a relationship going up in smoke during times of hardship, loss or cheating. Its so upbeat but its so sad no matter how I look at it 😢
This song reminds me of how COVID-19 effected and destroyed the world and made it impossible to do stuff we could do before. It still makes me cry because I lost something special during the pandemic.
I think of my OCs. Twins who grew from equals to a domineering male head and submissive sister throughout their childhood traumas, culminating in the abandonment of their last distant relatives in Texas when, in an alternate WW1 timeline, Mexico takes it back. The boy is overly attached to his sister because of his abandonment issues, she wants to pull away but is confused due to her lack of people-smarts and self-awareness. The fire is the ongoing traumas and losses they face, but now they will decide whether or not to aid American terrorists in taking back Texas. They are destitute, I can imagine the boy saying, "We were born with nothing, and we sure as Hell have nothing now."
Leo and Esperanza Valdez (Heroes of Olympus) Tadashi Hamada (Big Hero Six) The Airbenders (Avatar: The Last Airbender) Asami’s mom (The Legend of Korra) Bolin and Mako’s parents (The Legend of Korra) Primrose Everdeen (The Hunger Games) District 13 (The Hunger Games) District 12 (The Hunger Games) The Scorch (The Maze Runner) Alexander’s letters (Hamilton) The waterbenders of the Southern water tribe (Avatar: The Last Airbender) Xavier Dolls (Wynona Earp) Heatwave/Mick Rory (DC) The Amazon rainforest Rome Australia’s fires 9/11
I can relate this too this when you lose something really impirtant it's more then just the loss it's self it really feels like an era a time in your life went with it.
This song makes me think of 9/11. "making a list of all the things we lost."The memorial were you see every person that died then. "The Fire" When the planes hit.I feel deeply sorry for everyone who died and the families that lost people. ;(
I dont think of a battle. I usually imagine myself and friends replacing the members in the band as we dance around a fire in the pouring rain while beating on large drums PS- the quality is off in this song, sounds like theres missing instruments, going back to the original video. If that doesnt work im pulling this song up in itunes.
***** HEY. Doctor Who is Awesome. Ya. Also, what- well, I can see how this would relate to those shows, you know, Supernatural, Doctor Who, maybe even Sherlock...
