I do agree with some of what Neil did or said about The Beatles. The 2023 Red and Blue albums wouldn’t have happened, with all due respect that was not Apple’s finest moments. I also think that Neil wouldn’t have catered to Disney. In some ways and for the better part I prefer the original releases. I also think that the archival releases are too expensive. Also with the remixes in some cases are missing takes that I preferred in the original. So there’s good and bad. I also feel that with Neil he still held the sentiment that The Beatles had before they broke up was giving the fans a bang for their buck. I hope that it’s not because of health reasons. Ken, nice to see “Press to Play” on display! I have always felt that #9 Dream was so close to a true “could have been a real Beatles” song. I have come to like Walls and Bridges way more that I did when it came out as a whole.
Julian mentions Ya Ya the other day in a link to the release of Valotte Walls and Bridges is a classy Album. The Best of Lennon some snarling lyrics and subtle digs with beautiful melodies?
John Lennon was a Mets fan not a Yankees fan according to chip madinger. His favorite met was pitcher Bob Apodaca who was a visitor during double fantasy sessions
