The more you look at the books/movies, the more u realize that it's based heavily off of WW2. The SS had a skull and crossbones tattooed to their upper left arm near the armpit, like the dark mark. Also the idea of purebloods only is the idea of Aryanism. The connections go on

It was only a facade to manipulate the Purists into joining his cause. Of course Voldemort didn’t really care about blood status, and he was intelligent enough to know that no wizarding family was 100% pure-blooded like they claimed to be. He was only prejudiced against muggles, partly because he resented his muggle father for leaving his mother while she was pregnant with him.

Actually, When Tom first applied, Professor Dippet was the headmaster of Hogwarts, he told Tom that he is too young to be a professor and told him to come after 3-4 years Few years after that Tom disappeared after secertly stealing The Slytherin Locket and The Hufflepuff's Cup from Hepzibah Smith and came back after 10 years to Hogwarts, but by that time Dumbledore became headmaster and he suspected Tom and THEN THAT'S WHEN HE REFUSED TO HIRE TOM. Read the books people.

But this blood purity is broken when merope decided to marry Tom who's a muggle, hence Tom riddle jr being half blood. So my question is how come he's still qualified to be sorted into slytherin house, not only that, he's also a true heir?

@@perfectyoutuber8557 To answer your first question: Slytherins aren't being sorted based on blood status. You can be even muggleborn in Slytherin. That house is for ambitious and cunning people. It also doesn't automatically mean it's dark lords in making, you can take for example Merlin, also Slytherin.

@@perfectyoutuber8557 To answer your second question, descendant means that they are blood related. There isn't mentioned anywhere that his heir has to be pure blooded. And technically it would also be very hard to recognise, because there are no magical differences between pure bloods and others. Actually it's mentioned many times throughout the books, that half-bloods are the magically strongest individuals. (Dumbledore, Harry, Voldemort) Edit: typo

Probably not as he was conceived via love potion, he wouldn't be able to perceive or understand or have the ability to love because Merope used the love potion on Voldemorts father who was a muggle that she was madly in love with **EDIT** to everyone to replied you also made valid points, and I respect them. Fun fact: Riddle wanted to work as a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and when Dumbledore refused it to him he cursed the position, and that's why none of the next teachers in the subject were able to stay more than one year in the job (either because they died or something else).

I know it sounds weird, but his mother Merope showed up at the orphanage in bad shape. Tom was born there at the orphanage and Merope died shortly after giving birth. Tom stayed at the orphanage.

Riddle is the blackest character in the book. Who lived aporox 50 years and didn't do one good deed. He's doing bad since childhood. Even at orphanage he used to torture kids. Dumbledore, Snape James Sirius all have shades who at one point of their life didn't do great or "role-model" things but ultimately contributed to the good.

Not exactly. Tom came back years later with Dumbledore as headmaster. He tried to get the job again and Dumbledore refused to hire him. It was after that when the teachers started lasting only a year, likely because Tom jinxed the position.
