Thiopental - An IV anesthetic

Thiopental is sulfur containing barbiturate that shows very fast onset of action but very short duration of action. It is used as IV anesthetic and this drug acts by opening of potassium channels at GABA-A receptors.

Just for research purposes, what if it's administered orally? How many grams oh Thiopental would be necessary for anesthesia?
