I can say following behind a couple of cars that had this, it works VERY well, all cars should really have it, much safer. For me it feels like your so much more alerted then just having a brighter red shine as you slow down to a stop, which could be easily mistaken as you still moving from afar.( Highway situations and bunch other on the road ) in my opinion, this is the way to go with brake lights and cars. 👍 Thanks for the vid
You should do what I did and put LED strips inside of the engine lid. So you can see it light through the slits, of loovers, however you spell it. You can pair those lights with some LED lights in the air intakes
My civic has 2 wires going to the tail light. I connected the black wire to the black ground (I'm assuming) that goes to the bulb. I then connected the yellow and red to the hot wire that goes to the bulb. Not sure where else to put the yellow wire. Any suggestions?
From my research, this is the only CALIFORNIA LEGAL brake light modulator..........Deceleration Warning Lights 25251.5. (c) Any stoplamp or supplemental stoplamp required or permitted by Section 24603 may be equipped so as to flash not more than four times within the first four seconds after actuation by application of the brakes. Amended Ch. 410, Stats. 1983. Effective January 1, 1984.
Hey man question, i installed mdule in my 2006 c350, but my third brake light error message came on. Light flashes but once the message comes on it stops working. Did you encounter something similar?
Hey what's up! Really liked the video Just a question, which car did you like the most the mr2 or the 350z? I'm looking into buying one of those two, hope I get a suggestion thank you
I’m confused because I have 3 wires going into my car’s brake light LED cluster. I have a 2016 Ford Explorer..I’m also confused when it says wire that goes to the brake pedal? Which one is that lol
Minutes later he used heat shrink for the connections. And if you do want to use a test light to put a hole in your insulation, put something besides your finger behind it....
Im planing on putting those on my focus st aftermarket tailight, but im wondering what happens if your car batt dies, do you have to reset the hole thing again?
I would have gone the extra mile and bought the two connectors from a junk yard or dealer and just attached them to the module. Leaving the harness uncut ... And reversible.
I will have my mechanic view your youtube video. Looking at having him install it for me. I will buy it on the web site. Thanks for your straight forward installation video.
You would have to to connect the flasher module between the brake switch (usually under the dash and above the brake pedal) and the point at which the wire coming from that brake switch branches off to each of the three bulbs. In other words, connect the flasher module to the wire coming off the brake switch that has voltage only when you depress the brake pedal. The red wire on the flasher module connects to the wire coming off the brake switch that has voltage only when you depress the brake pedal (which you will have to cut for this to work), the black wire on the flasher module connects to any good ground, and the yellow wire on the flasher module connects to the wire going to the three brake bulbs (the other half of the wire that you cut earlier).
Robert Ackermann I did it to my taillights but it only works when the truck is off, idk if it’s because I programmed it while having the truck on and running
If your brakelight flashes every time you press the pedal, it’s just childish and idiotic. I would like to buy a proper Solution which works only at hard emergency braking
