For our third day in South Korea, we headed to Samyang Farm, still in Pyeongchang, before we head to Sokcho. This farm recommended also by a Korean staff in Intercontinental Hotel, who studied in the Philippines, as a must visit place in Pyeongchang.
According to their website, Samyang Farm is Asia’s greatest farm with a vast land covering 19.835 km2 and is nestled 850~1,470m above sea level. The farm follow a sustainable source of energy through wind mills that are standing high on their hills.
Some of the activities to do here are are trail walking around the farm, shepherding performance on the vast grassland, and you can also calf nursing and experience sheep and ostrich feeding. Limited activities during winter, though. But when snowing is at its peak, the vast grassland is a winter wonderland covered by thick snow all over.
