Not sure if Marine F35Bs are usually on a Naval Carrier as thst the C variants home but amazing this happened and showed the emergency capability that could clearly be used to vertically land and take off of small clearings or anywhere with a flat spot in an emergency . It might look like a over priced camera helmet but the price lies more with the technology that comes with it. There's alot the public will never get to know about the helmet as no government releases 100% detailed information about military technology they may produce. It's like those F-22 vs. PAK-FA videos that compares two planes and tries to put them up against eachother when most of the stats they show in the video is not official information, they do this on purpose to confuse the enemy. If the public can know everything about something, so can hostiles countries, which reveals weaknesses and helps the enemy improve radar systems and counter-meassures against the technology.

I am pretty sure the helmet itself doesn't cost 400,00 dollars. That's the cost for the helmet and the computer it's connected to. It does cost around 50,000 dollars from what I've heard, so it's definitely not cheap. It's also custom fitted to it's pilot, so it's pretty much one good for one person.

Now this is impressive.

This technology of seeing through the vehicle should be used in cars especially for trucks because often times is difficult to see anything below the engine
