Here's a cat for reference! Lol! This thing sounds unbelievable... Either that or you're just an exceptional player, but my guess is it's both. Great video!
@@cleangoblin2021 If you're using a live amp, you'll want to double check and make sure you're not using any of the cab simulation in the Cube Baby. That'll definitely make things sound terrible.
Hey there thanks for the awesome video🙏. I wanted to find out if this pedal sends midi information when connected to a computer. I wanted to get it and double it up to control effects on my computer
Definalty wasnt new when video was made as its been a company selling to other little brands to put what names they want on them. The Muvave or whatever Getaria, cube baby can be found for 35 bucks. Which is a great little device. A few hiccups with reverb tied to Cab sim. Hahah. But hey. The cheaper priced name (same software runs all of them) , the Non Getaria seems to be the best as its software works better from what i have seen. Cool though.
Alex, I'm a huge fan of your videos. I just bought the CuVave gold Acoustic version. I'm curious if you have tried your lead version using the acoustic IRs?
Very cool. I keep a Valeton GP-100 in my gig bag as a backup. This thing is half that size and simple. Thanks for the overview! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Excellent review and it really complements the user manual, as I just picked up my new cube baby and struggled with the English interpretation, so thank you for clearing up so many confusing points in the user guide. Fantastic playing by the way....love your style and sound 👌 👏 😊
Great demo and playing (plus fabulous tone!) Just a quick question, are you saying cab sim and reverb are ‘either/or’, are can you still use a cab sim and have reverb?
Just picked this up because I wanted something to give my synths a bit more character that can fit on my desktop I clicked on this video for a little overview but your playing is so good I forgot to pay attention to the pedal 😂
The cleans seemed quite usable, and it's great that it has some IR's on it (if they sound good), but the driven sounds were horrid lol. It actually sounds like they cloned a line 6 spider 30w combo lololol 🤡 It does seem like you're getting a lot for not a lot, but when you factor in the laughable drive sound it doesn't look too good. I mean one could get a used boss GT8 or something similar for just a few shekels more and that will make this thing look sad in every way. Fab cat though !!! Worth a thumbs up just for the moggy 😻
Wow. Thats some fine str*t strangling there. Good good player. I have one of these little units, and it so handy. I use it with 'phones for practice. A total bargain, pricewise
This multi-effect pedal seems dope for the inexpensive price. You provided a thorough, solid review! Thanks! I want to use this unit on a second pedalboard for people who visit my house and want to jam. This pedal will be played, with other connected pedals in the chain, through a Fender HRD IV with the matching HRD extension cab. Most important question: Can this pedal accept a standard male 9v Power Supply input [round barrel connector]? Amazon description states this is "powered by a 9v power supply," and some reviews mention this too, but I do not see a 9v female port on this pedal in ANY of the photos. I cannot find the clear answer to this question on Amazon nor anywhere else. Lastly, am I able to utilize ALL the effects engaged at the same time, i.e., reverb, delay & drive? Thank you so much for your help! 🫶
Very nice review and awesome playing. Did you try it with any of the violins you have in the wall? Would you recommend it for violinists? And did you get the chance to try the cube baby from other factory such as "M-vave" "Getaria" or "Cuvave", do you think there is a difference of quality between them? Thanks!
The other products will be identical, just under a different name. The effects - modulation, delay, reverb, etc. will work great with violin. If you want to get some overdriven sounds out of it, a violin really benefits from a dry pass-through (an identical, non distorted signal path that you can blend with the distorted one), which the Cube Baby does not have.
Great playing and demo. I could see this being helpful for a backup or someone just starting out playing guitar. It would be nice to have a second output but at that price point you really can’t complain lol.
You could possibly use the headphone out as a second output. It’ll be much hotter than the ordinary 1/4” so maybe grab a passive volume pedal to attenuate it.
I bought one of these and the software wouldn't even install or run properly. Dell PC with Wndows 11. Never had any other issues with hardware or software. Lekato's customer service sucked, so I sent it back to China.
The shot is a little overexposed, but the very first flip when I'm turning one or two knobs - that was filmed in real time so those are the settings you're hearing.
Seems like the same unit is available under the Getaria and CUVAVE names (maybe others too). So typical of electronics these days. One builder, many different brandings. :)
I charged it once and have had it on probably a combined 5 or 6 hours. The Amazon page advertises 6-8. Yeah, you can find Lekato's products under different names. Same with Nux, Koko, etc.
Hey Alex! Your tone is pretty damn decent sir! Nice work! Id be curious to see if you've ever demo'd or be interested in taking a look at the POD Go or the Valeton GP200, they're pretty on par with each other, but obviously the PodGo will definitely be better, which is reflected in the price, but the Valeton does do a lot for the money. Anyway, nice work!
Thanks for the heads up on the Valeton - never even heard of that. The PodGo is pretty similar to the Line 6 Helix series, which I’ve used extensively for the last few years and have been happy with.
*a.* Without an amplifier? *b.* What length cable do you connect from LECATO to the guitar? *c.* What length cable do you connect from LECATO to the audio card? I *want to do like you.* *Thanks for answers.* @@AlexPriceMusician
Awesome playing. Was on the fence about buying this. I was waiting for a good guitar player to convince me. Great review too. Clicking "buy" as I type this. Sounded like you thru some Silk Sonic in the mix around 5:00. Cheers!
Great playing Alex. I could tell you had more going on with the first example. The Donna Lee melody sealed it. I saw another version of this pedal that had a rechargeable battery. Those things explode, so I decided against it…and this does as well. Nice device, but I’ll pass.
Did someone else say that? I didn’t think it was noticeable honestly. In my experience if you’re someone totally new to modelers, it’s a weird thing to get used to for sure. I think they’d probably say the same thing about the Line 6 devices.
@@AlexPriceMusician Yea I read it somewhere... I think the "disconnection" feeling is more to do with something digital though and not the latency. Kinda like a spongeyness. If you think about it a 10-20 millisecond latency is just like standing across the room from your amp. I've got a sonic IR loader (20 milliseconds), nux cerberus (2milliseconds) and both feel wierd, and the Simplifier and Vox Silk Drive which as you know is analog cab sim and feels great. Lately I've been looking at aitr.nl IRs and do feel better. Anyhow cheers again for the great content :).
