Idk if you knew but it actually turned out to be a manufactor problem, they ended up earning bank, couse one of the big manufactories had sold them bad cooling fans that was somewhat defect, even though it should be some high performance brand expensive shit. after they changed that part have they not had a single one catch fire... 😂😂
It’s amazing how today a regular family electric vehicle can accelerate in 4.x seconds just by pressing one pedal and then you look at vehicles like this, with all the high tech racing suspension, engine etc and you have to be super skilled to be that. Awesome times we live in. Well done Matt!

This thing looks like a giant KIT CAR stamped out of plastic. It looks rough and unrefined. IMO it's not worth 1/3 of what it costs. Only 15 made? The manufacture is trying to recoup all of their costs in only 15 copies. Forget it...
I think you underestimate just how many ultra-rich people want a car that their peers can't get. Sheiks in Dubai love limited edition/low production cars, simply cause their neighbors can't buy one too.
I remember when J. Clarkson made a review about a zenvo, and how it went up in flames, I was really hoping they weren't discouraged by that incident and I'm really glad they weren't
Yeah that sucked Big time for them. But Clarkson and Top Gear really made it seem like this car wasn’t good at all by not showing all the video they had for that day. The car unofficially reached 304 kmh (189 mph) which was the highest speed measured on the straight of the Top Gear test track in recent times. This information did not air on the show. Also not made public was that Top Gear clocked the acceleration time from 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) at 2.69 seconds on damp tarmac. Instead Top Gear brought a lap time with the Stig conducted on a day where driving was not recommended in many parts of Britain due to low temperature and extreme rain. The weather conditions and the amount of water on the track severely reduced traction on the cars 345/30 ZR20 rear tires resulting in a lap time that does not reflect the real potential of the car in dry conditions.
They also have done little development since that car. They stuck a gimmicky rear wing on the back (any aerodynamicist could tell you that tilting the wing laterally does not change the downforce it produces) and made the engine a bit more powerful. Not to mention that Clarkson's verdict was that the car was old fashioned for the time, almost 8 years ago.
@@aidanjohnson7571 It's weird but doesn't it change the downforce angle? Looks like it's easier to make it spin out like that, when the wing is pushing the car sideways
@@genogeno7289 tilting it sideways like that doesn't do much of anything. The tilt forward it does simultaneously does increase downforce but it does so across the rear of the car as a whole. There may be a very slight AoA change because of the tilt but I doubt it has any meaningful effect
This car is insane i've seen it blasting up the Goodwood hill climb a few times it sounds like thunder and seeing the wing in action is so cool, yeah its a little old school in some places but i'd consider that a positive as it makes the car more fun to drive compared to other hypercars.
God I'm so happy someone is talking about this car and Zenvo in general. We Danes aren't really well known for our engineering, even though we've done a lot of first and are very capable, which is a shame. Thanks for putting the work out there, Tusind tak fra Denmark!
pops and, more particularly, flames just reek of having a cheap fun button on the dash. it's no more than poorly set up fuelling. we used to do it by turning the ignition off and on, to 'frighten grannies'

That’s how all infotainment should be. It means you can update it. Look at how dated cars with early infotainment are even though the cars themselves are still great
I wish all cars had this. An ipad has ios which is a fast responsive and a mature system. You can watch movies etc on high definition. While most other carbrands have garbage laggy systems
Ive seen the TSR-S at this years IAA and i have to say in real life it looks even better than on pictures or in videos. Also it looks HUGE like its very low ofc but its so long and wide 😳
Since the IAA this year was here in München/Munich i can only say i agree, i always liked the look of the Zenvo and also the Thor's Hammer Logo for the Brand. It's sad that Top Gear had this unlucky moment testing it, which made the Zenvo become a joke, but i hope the Manufacturer of Zenvo learned what caused the Top Gear one catch fire and have improved what was there top improve. I'm always happy when new and smaller brands put something new in the market. I also hope we will see something more from Apollo (former Gumpert) and Wiesmann, Spyker etc. Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps

Not sure what your on about the Car is only 3 years old and there is a new on the Way and even if your takling about their very first concept of the zenvo its only abit over 10 years old which is honestly not that bad for a High end Car makers first Car a good comparison is pagani making the zonda for 20 years

@@GrillerRohde the TSR S is a pretty blatant evolution of the ST1, same aluminium monocoque, same styling, and I suspect the same LS7-based twin turbo V8. The ST1 also caught fire at the Copenhagen Grand Prix
it's always neat to see the cars that no matter how long I work at however increasingly expensive hotel, no one will ever bring one. I've driven some incredible cars but I know I'll never even see anything like this at work or otherwise

The ST1 is one of my favorite cars, and one of my dream cars, but this, this on a completely different level of dopeness and awesomeness!! Zenvo is such an awesome company!
Thing is, it has a single clutch dogbox because it's meant to be driven on track, because it's as fast as a dual clutch (when on high RPMs) and lighter than a DCT. Those boxes when on high RPMs use the clutch only to get going and then just smash the gears when shifting, that's why they are quick and less complex than DCT transmissions, and thus lighter.
@@S85B50Engine depends if you wanted to make it a daily i mean 1,200hp on a regular fuel seems great on the streets HAHA but if you want more power then use e85 for a 1,300HP
Completely agree! Leave it to the experts who know GUI best. Furthermore, EVERYONE knows how to use it immediately - no learning curve. Simple and effective. I’m always amazed at how terrible infotainment systems are, even in the most high end cars.
How old are you? The Zenvo ST1 was a big deal back in the Bugatti veyron supersport days, it was one of the fastest cars in the world iirc but maybe you're too young to know
