I repaired one of these that had been in a minor fender bender when I worked at a highline collision repair shop. Very very nice driving car, very smooth and comfortable. I was impressed with the overall build quality, the interior is quite handsome, in typical GM fashion some of the small details and materials feel a slight bit cheap, but the car feels solidly built like it would last a long time. The excessive number of tiny screws holding the underbody air cladding to the front bumper and fastening the wheelwell liners and such to the vehicle was very reminiscent of the BMW's I usually work on. 😂 These seem like they'd make a great car for someone with a long commute.
Well, I had a Jeep Rubicon raise as my daily driver. Worked at a Funeral Home for several years after retiring. After 6 plus years of driving the Jeep and it was a manual 6 speed. I became over the time so sick of shifting and bouncing around and climbing in and out of it, keeping on mind I was driving Cadillac cars for work, I finally gave up and bought a 2013 XTS4. I absolutely love driving it. In fact, my 2010 Corvette has gone only 150 miles this year 2023. I'm happy, happy. Of course, I'm 72. Lol
They didnt discontinue this car but they changed its name, now its called the ct6 instead of the xts. The ats got changed by the ct4 and the cts changed into the ct5. They are the same but different name
@@hexa1062 The XTS was built on the Epsilon II platform shared with the Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Impala. The CT6 is built on the Omega platform. The appropriate response from you should have been, "I stand corrected." "So" is childish.
LMFAO....HANDS DOWN best car review EVER! Between the stash spot references and the torture camp...lol this guy is the best. A lot more detail in showing the controls, which I loved, than the other ones I watched. I'm getting one in the near future so I'm in research mode right now and this review was the best so far!
I've been driving this for the last few years. Pros. The V6 is fine, didnt get a car for speed, its still fast, its faster than my 1990 V8 Caddy Fleetwood. These are cabs alllllll over NYC. Its conforatable (but not as much as a classic one) . Cue is kinda cool, but not a big fan. the touch screen froze and thats a common issue - but ALL luxury cars have problems. as long as you take care of a car like you should, its will last a long time.
I just got the same car, but with a black interior. It has over 100,000 miles, but in great condition. The previous owner took excellent care of the car. Definitely a head turner while i'm rolling through the streets of Houston.
@@p.capes1 The asking price was $11,000 but the lot manager is a rare find, a good guy. We have common interests and i got a bit of a discount. I am very satisified.
Bill, I commented one other time we worked together at Sunshine Buick. I had a 1985 White Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance with 38k miles on it in 1990 when I worked there. I'm not sure I'm - all in- on the newer ones. I drive a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible now..(40k) and will till I have to crawl out of it.. Best car I have ever owned... Peace Bro
Lol. I love your videos. Your take on the life of a Cadillac is hilarious. Yes they all either get on spares or 24’s far before their time. With that being said, I love that car. 👍
I've got a 2014 XTS VSport Platinum, with the unbelievable 410 hp twin turbo V6. It is perfect. All a Caddy should be. Bill you should drive a VSport Platinum if you can....you'd love it.
Very true! Thanks for putting a positive light on them. This car is a really nice combo - Black Raven paint on Caramel leather interior, which is rare and only available in 2013 & 2014. Faux leather on upper doors etc BUT it is hand-cut-and-sewn, and on Platinum it all becomes real Opus leather. Also Kona Brown Semi-Aniline full leather seating was available as an upgrade as of 2015. Furthermore - there was an XTS V-Sport available as of 2014 with 410hp and AWD, for those who want a bit more power. :-)
THIS GUY IS HILARIOUS..FANTASTIC PLACE TO PUT A BAG OF DRUGS. I have a 2014 xts and the screens always delaminate. You can buy replacement part for 40 bucks. It is kind of a process to fix but totally do-able
Amazing video my friend. 2nd graders. 9mm. All of it wonderful. I drive a black '06 CTS. Previous owner put an aftermarket vinyl/cloth top on it. Very unique. I'm in the market for another cadillac but giving up this custom head-turner is tough.
Bill if I ever get down to your neck of the woods I'm going to look you up and buy you a latte...or beer or a line..whatever you're into..lol just kidding about that line..or am I? Anyway the next time I hear you sputtering about the heat in gonna send you a video of me here in Maine middle of January 3 below zero up to my balls in snow looking like a frozen fish stick. Lol great narration and video as usual.
I was looking at a 14 xts v sport and a 14 ats 2.0t I really liked the xts v sport but there isn’t any aftermarket for it other then tune and the ats is a much better drivers car. So I bought the ats and I’m super happy with it. I own 4 Cadillacs, newest is my 14 ats and oldest is my 1969 sedan deville.
I've had a couple of experiences with these myself. I considered a used XTS Platinum AWD on the way to one of my recent car purchases. My observation on that extended thigh support is that it was made for someone like me. That car also had adjustable side bolsters, among the other available adjustments. Definitely a shot at BMW there. I didn't buy it, but whoever did got a bargain, as the price kept falling on it. Avis handed me a practically new XTS when I arrived in Detroit for the last weekend of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. This car was pretty much the bottom rung of the XTS lineup, and perhaps explains why the car didn't do better than it did. That lovely adjustable gauge cluster was replaced by the one used in the ATS and many CTS models, and it was an embarrassment, unworthy of even a modern economy car. I can't think that putting the biggest cost cutting directly in the customer's face helped sales. The rest of the car was fine, aside from CUE's iPod integration having an argument with my iPod that had over 10,000 tracks on it, a feat that is easily done, BTW. Another problem to watch out for with the 3.6 is the power steering. When driving taxis recently, I noticed problems with the power steering in the Chevrolet Traverses that used the same engine. Here's what I think might be the culprit. The power steering reservoir is under the engine cover, completely concealed by it. A typical owner, or a careless mechanic might well overlook it. And it will eventually run dry. So if your car doesn't have electric power assist, there you go. Even so, it's great to see someone appreciate these cars.
I have a 2013 with 33 thousand miles, love my xts wonderful driving well handling big sedan, it really is a great car, I have lifetime warranty, strong powerful V6 304 horsepower and yeah she Hauls ass no doubt about that. And Yes the xts is a full size sedan. The XTS is due so much credit because its has a title of it's own. I dont think it has a competitor because its unique in its very own way.
Everything he touched on is exactly right! I bought my 13 AWD used. About 7 years ago. Definitely a sleeper car, smooth AF. It’s fast when it want it to be, good breaks, roomy, is comfortable when you use the electric seat adjustment (but not as comfortable as the pre 90s), nice sound system, quiet, depreciation is high so you can score one for CHEAP. It does look nice. My fave styling the the 50s break light fins. I drove it for almost 70K miles, with no major issues! But I should do some maintenance on shocks struts, they started to be worn 1k miles ago.... but that’s after 70k on the clock! I like waxing it too. Heating steering wheel is dope. I also like this because it’s definitely a bit different from all the other luxury cars.
Wtf are you smoking?!? The xts isn’t even close to fast, even the v sport can’t break under 5 secs 0-60. You’ve obviously never been in a fast car if you think an xts is fast….
@@adamhayden5152 ah! Let me kinda rephrase, yes... there are cars out there that are faster, yes there are cars that stop better, yes, there there are cars out there that stereo sound better, yes, there are stronger cars, yes there are are cars out there that are more comfortable, check off every category that a car has the caddy it’s not good at one thing. BUT, what makes it special and appealing, that it’s above average of EVERYTHING. Also, caddy’s not made to go fast, old man car for a reason. Perfect car to drive if you drive like a turtle 🐢 like me.
@@DannyNY my 14 ats is faster then your car and by a considerable bit. It at least has an aftermarket. Factory 272hp 260 tq now it’s 330 wheel hp and 350 wheel tq. 0-60 in mid 4’s and it’s not a fast car. It’s quick but that’s about it. Your car is slow. About as slow as my 05 deville. It’s not meant to be fast it’s a hwy cruiser to eat up miles comfortable. Stop pretending it’s anything else. You thinking it’s fast is like me thinking my 69 deville is fast. It’s not…
Truly depressing that the big luxury cars are going away. I know many people who are anywhere from mid 30s to 80s that still like big comfortable cars with soft seats and nice rides. Shame on all these stupid car designers. You are not getting it right!
That car is so unreliable it’s not even funny. Had one it spent 50% of the time in the shop. Major suspension issues, infotainment failure and other electronic issues. Always had a light on my dash. Bought new got rid after 2 years.
Could have have done without the weather and agri-report. Also at 01:00 what is a CADI-MAC? It's a CADI-LAC. If you can't say it, you shouldn't be selling it.
