The Subaru BRZ has a real sports car shape to it. Check out how the owner of this 2015 Subaru BRZ made some exterior modifications to take the look to the next level!
I gotta say, when I first got the FRS, I was really turned off by the power but I LOVED the way it handled. I slapped a supercharger on it and now I can't stop driving the car.. :)
Same here lol. I was disappointed by the lack of power but enjoyed the easy drifting easy handling etc. I then got 100 extra hp out of it and it put a smile on my face. I still wish it had a turbo from stock or an na toyota Motor at least. Make sure you get mpss tires!
Joe, loved today’s outro! Your channel is one of my favorites and I really enjoy watching your videos. Happy to be a part of the journey and I wish you great success in life, friend!
Alonzo Romero thank you so much for watching and your kids and your kind words. I’m glad to have you on the journey! We will see where this takes us!😊👍🏻
That diffuser is a Verus engineering aggressive rear diffuser, Verus have done testing in a wind tunnel with that on. It does increase performance significantly on the 86 platform by reducing drag and produce more downforce. I know this because I run the same diffuser on my 2014 86.
@@RaitisRides I got the 14 limited in crystal white pearl. It's like a coupe Miata with usable storage and a bit more speed. What's not to like, besides that pesky torque dip?
I love this car. I am in the market for a new car. I have always driven a 2 door sport coupe. Daytona, Eclipse, RX8 and currently a Nissan Altima 2 door 3.5. But I want something with good power and sleek look. There is currently nothing on the market (to my liking) in the mid 30K price range except for a Mustang or Camaro which I am not interest in. The BRZ is sexy looking but not a lot of power. I wonder if someone wanted to order one directly from the manufacturer and requested a supercharger or a turbo to be added if they would be willing to do it. I think it would add about 5/6k to the sticker but if someone (like me) who would be willing to pay for it. Would they do it? And warrantee it?
Hey great video, nice mods but I don’t think I would ever replace the hood . These cars come with a light weight aluminum hood stock. Ever see Jay Leno’s video of the fr-s that won the tuners challenge? It’s modded like an old school race car . Louvered hood , fender mounted side mirrors magnesium look rims and the old Toyota race stripes. Would love to be able to copy that build some day!
Tom c yea i have the same carbon fiber hood, i got it for looks and heat extraction, but mostly for looks. The factory hood is very light, both hoods felt about the same when installing. The lines actually follow the stock lines too? The only difference are the vents. To be honest if you were going for a pure performance racecar, then a stock hood with cut out hood vents would be a better option. Its already very light weight and the stock hood doesnt flex as much as the cf hood. The latch on the stock hood is also very sturdy and doesnt need hood pins like the cf hood.
Always loved the design of the 86/BRZ and assuming it has reliability too. I wonder if Toyota/Subaru could make money in the aftermarket side of things under a different name by creating aftermarket products company for these types of cars while understanding people will mod them.
If I was this person and the DMV gave me that plate ... I'd be ordering a custom one asap lol the side thing prior to the mirrors is a bit extreme to me, but nothing as ugly as say, TJ Hunt's body kity as a whole ;) I like the hood, but I think I'd have a finer grille on the openings and those looked rusted. The front splitter was nice, I'd like a bit more understanded rear diffuser personally. I had one of these and looking to get another in the future possibly.
Raiti's Rides if ima buy it cash Ima have to buy a Toyota Honda Subaru or ford tht at least gonna last me 5-10 years can’t trust the other brands anything that brakes any powertrain issues coming from my pockets those brands have some of the most reliable engines and transmissions
This might sound weird but I'm happy with the power of my 2015 FRS, it weighs 500 pounds less than a Focus ST with only 50 less hp than the ST. People say, "my mom's minivan has 250hp" yeah but your mom's minivan weighs like 4000 pounds people that hate on them need to get behind the wheel I grew up thinking they were "slow" and I'm not saying it's the fastest either btw but I grew up thinking they were literally slow I've beat v6 cameros (50-110) turbo genisis coups and cars with more hp because they weigh more
@@nursingstudent2317 I have the exact front lip. It has the same shape. The only difference is this car doesn't have the tiny STI emblem right at the center
Great car no matter what, but add a pro charger and a flex fuel set up and you got a fast corner carver. I love my FR-S nothing else tops mine dammit!!
Raiti's Rides yeah it has the vortech supercharged. I’m absolutely in love with it. I’m also running the delicious tuning flex fuel kit. Also my FR-S is the classiest one on the streets. Sorry, I’m cocky as shit when it comes to my build. P.S also running methanol injection.
it's my friends car, tbh he was just surprised/happy to see someone did a video on it haha. I'm sure if he knew it was being reviewed he would have let him drive the thing too.
