As a pirates fan this game will be the only thing I remember from this season other then our incredible tank

The “Runner on 2nd Base to Start an Extra Inning” Rule has got to be the worst thing MLB has done in years. It is nothing more than a stupid Gimmick to try to “speed up the game”. Even though they added instant replay (which is necessary) and more commercial time between innings, they somehow wonder why games are taking so long. Of course, I am one of those maniacs who will willingly watch a 20 Inning game all the way through, as I enjoy seeing teams scrape the bottom of their rosters after hours of game play. I am also one of those idiots who enjoys seeing a game end 1-0, as pitching is my favorite part of the sport. Offense is fine and necessary in the game, but I think it gets really boring when a team scores 8 runs off of 6 Home Runs. Now with this “Runner on 2nd” Rule, we’re seeing Lead-Off 2-Run Homers, Lead-Off RBI Singles, and Baseball Figure Heads being paid to say they like this idea. If I am the only one who feels this way about this Rule, I should just leave the ballpark after 9 Innings, regardless the score. At least maybe I’ll beat traffic that way.

I listened to this game at work. I’m from Pittsburgh and am a Pirates fan, but my favorite team is the Tigers so this was a special game for me.

I remember watching this game with my grandpa who passed away just over a year after this, for some reason I have always vividly remember us watching this game even tho we watched probably close to 2000 sports games together over a 6-7 year stretch. Seeing this made me very happy because I think of him and how great this game was

When you say, Pittsburgh had the worst record in the entire league, you meant to say, Pittsburgh had the worst record in the Majors, or in all of Baseball.
