Hey Brenton. I like to swim long distances (2km+) and whole 2015 and 2016 I couldn't make it out of 2:15/100m pace. I dropped swimming because of multiple reasons, one of them being anxiety of having plateau. The anxiety was also having a coach (for 8 lessons), who never explained to me about correct freestyle (I was pulling with my whole straight arm, are you kidding me?!?!) and not improving over the course of 2 months. In 2021, by watching lots of feedback Fridays and other videos on this channel (as well as MySwimPro, ngl), I worked 2 weeks (!!!) on my catch-pull-recovery cycle and I dropped to 2:00 (this is the pace of 1km swim). I was swimming 3 times a week, and not even having much of drills, but each stroke I did was having your videos before my eyes (not literally watching, but recalling everything I saw). Today I corrected my head position, dropped my chest, and with two-beat kick I managed to do 2x100 @1:50! Next swims I am trying to do more of drills, as well as try to hold 1:50 for 1km swim. Probably some flip-turns later (damn water in my nose, hate it) I just want to express huge thanks to you for all of the info you provide as, for literally free! I envy everyone who you coach, one of the best! Hope I will buy some of the courses from you later, or get a paid video feedback. Huge thanks!

Awesome. I couldn't break a 40 minute 2k. Swim training starts on Monday. I hope they do stroke drills and correction properly. Id love if someone brings an under water camera.

I was doing some running first 10 minutes lower leg was agony. Started 20 minutes core and glutes work on short run days and no pain. Found long run days (10k) I wouldn't run any slower or felt more fatigue if did the routine e before. If skipped it had sore shins. Swimming at zchool first 10 minutes horrible, what about breath hold body squats in the shower before hit the pool? Thank u will try this yoga. Pool opens again on Monday 11th

i know iam 62 and find my swimming slower and it is more effort. i think i think, too much.
