Yeah, he will probably go in the late teens. But I could see a world where he falls to the back end of the 20s. I am not that high on ware but I think he is solid
He has just about everything you need to be a great player but he doesn’t have heart. I’ve seen videos of him literally so lazy to get back that he doesn’t show up on the screen until his team has already rebounded a shot. Forcing them to play 4 on 5 many times. Any team that picks him will regret it. He’ll end up getting no better than he already is at the moment. He’s Ben Simmons.
I dont think you ever draft a guy without a motor unless it’s a role player imo. Part of having a motor is passion and heart two very important things for winning players that can’t be taught.
he have the potential to be a taller version of MPJ. he can be Giannis when dunking but MPJ when shooting. I will not play him as a Center becuase hes better be a small forward or power forward.
He has the raw tools to be a Switchy Big. Put him in a winning culture and he let him fill out. The shot is a little sus but if its real he can be very interesting.
So he's not perfect. Who is? Ware has less glaring weaknesses than most bigs in this draft. He also has more versatility than most bigs in this draft. He also has better athleticism than most bigs. The combination of all this is that he's a great fit for Atlanta.
Don't think Ware will be successful in a non-winning culture. His motor is bad and the only reason he tried in college is to get paid in the league. As soon as he gets that first cheque he will check out.
