Lol, so that’s why I’ve never had this problem despite maining a gnome. Most of my UI below my character.

SAme, just got this recommended, first thought was that it was probably not gonna make much difference, and now I don´t ever want the default ever again except when mounted 🍻

I really miss being able to pull the camera out further, like we used to. It makes a difference in so many things - traveling, questing, instanced combat, screenshots and even herbing. During Legion, when I'd herb in Val'sharah, maybe because of the trees or whatever, the camera would automatically pan WAAAY in when I was herbing next to something. It unfortunately made me because nauseated - something I didn't have an issue with prior to the camera change, even if I was herbing for over an hour straight, and didn't happen in more open areas (like Suramar) where the vegetation wasn't as dense. When I was trying to get those crystals in Azsuna (that one that lets you get a pink Hippogryph) I had to stop due to feeling sick because the camera kept moving very close in, while I liked to play with it panned OUT as far as possible.

yeah i miss zooming out a fuck ton and looking straight down like I do in OSRS

@@GoddessPallasAthena You can still do that. AdvancedInterfaceOptions brings that back in the addon settings.

@@GoddessPallasAthena I don't know how far you used to be able to zoom out, but there's a command, that enables you to zoom out a bit more: /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor 2.6

They are already built in. In settings there is a camera tab where you can change pitch and everything.

You can just move the auras, no?

You can use /acpl to on/off addon and /acpl config to open config

Addon GTFO will keep anyone from standing in stuff they shouldn't be standing in. 10/10 do recommend.

Could just pair it with an app like GTFO as well. Pretty hard not to notice you’re standing in poop when there’s an air horn sound killing your ears.

I still feel like you'd still see the fire not to stand in it even with the zoomed in look unless you were soo zoomed in that you can't see your feet anyway

same here. i've been using dynamicam since legion and boy do i love it. the possibilities to set different views, zoom levels and rotation etc. for different situations and hacing the camera adjust automatically is just amazing. i especially love how when i'm walking through the world i have the camera at a medium far distance, but when i interact with npcs the camera zooms in fairly close, rotates to the left by 30 degrees and i have a slight shoulder offset which makes npc interactions so much more immersive. or i set the option that the camera zooms out when i enter combat or mount up which is very helpful to see more on my screen

but ofc for immersion this pitch angle is perfect

Some people play the game for the immersion factor. The closer you zoom in, the more you *feel* like your character. Zoom-out is what competitive players prefer; zoom-in is what people more interested in immersion prefer.

It makes m+/raid close to unplayable (not counting the faceroll stuff), I'm pretty sure it's the reason why it isn't the default.

@@terdroblade Ahh ok, thx for telling me. i guess i dont want it then, as i plan/hope to raid again when i feel better "health problems" .. no idea in getting used to something that dont work @ raid. a bit of a shame, it make things look way better, but i guess raids are designed for another view. thx again.

Incorrect. The difference is as shown in the video. If you're not seeing it, you likely have an addon conflict, where another addon has taken control of your camera and won't allow actioncamplus to do what it does.

@@TheJollyKraut DId you do a UI reset as Blizzard recommends after every patch? This involves shutting down the game (not merely logging out), then deleting the Interface, Cache, and WTF folders under _retail_ to ensure there are no saved settings lurking in the background to cause any trouble or incompatibility. Shut down the game, delete those three folders, then restart the game. If you did this correctly, you'll see the opening cinematic as if you were starting the game for the very first time. It recreates all the defaults it needs at that moment, including folders and files, and sets your options to whatever default values are appropriate to it's evaluation of your hardware. Then, you shut down the game again -- completely, not merely logging out -- and install just the DynamicCamPlus addon. Now, start the game back up, open DCP's config panel, and check/uncheck boxes. As you do this, you WILL see the perspective shift in real time, just like in the video. If you didn't do those things, and you still insist that the addon makes no difference, then it's _your unwillingness_ to do those things that's the problem. Because, again, many of us have installed the addon and it works as shown in the video. It's time to stop making excuses for being lazy, and for not wanting to understand the problem. It's time to learn how to think correctly, and how to go through the steps to trouble-shoot a problem in a way that leads to better understanding of that problem, and to a solution that fixes the problem.
