Have you not considered that said sexual selection might just be another mechanism to select for the tall neck trait. So in addition to occupying the niche of eating high up stuff giving an advantage of having a long neck, making it be a trait selected for sexually may be in place to further enforce this.

Attraction in the animal kingdom generally hinges on survivability traits... to say that they have long necks purely for attraction is uninformed lol

An additional study noted that giraffes actually eat easier when feeding from such sources too, suggesting the position was beneficial to them. Plus I think there's some fossil evidence towards suggesting it as a sexually adapted feature though I dont' recall the particulars of that

Not true, there are plenty of animals with dramatic physical features that exist purely to attract mates. Like many birds, for instance. Remember, natural selection is just about who gets to reproduce. That can mean being better at surviving, but it can also just mean adapting to be better at getting a mate-and what traits get mates don't always line up with what aids survival.
