I love your tutorials! Have you ever thought to do a bag-along? Like a quilt along you could breakdown the bag making in four-five components. For someone like myself who works and has little time for making items.. these sew alongs to do projects as this help to complete in smaller sections and the sew along helps to keep my place. I dont have to figure out where I left off.

I have a Bernina 440 (among other machines). This is similar to your Bernina used in the video, and the walking foot is amazing! I do prefer the Juki 2010q for bag making, especially when I use vinyl/faux leather.
@Teatime-mq6bv
@Teatime-mq6bv 2 года назад
Theresa, is this kind of Juki really working much better than the Bernina with a walking food for vinyl and those things? I ask because I thought the Juki 2010q is not a machine for heavier material and you MUST have an industrial like the Juki 1181 or 1451 to do such work. So why do you feel better on your Juki instead of your Bernina with the walking food? Or am I wrong? Is the Juki 2010q for heavier material? Sorry, if this question sounds stupid…, always thinking „yes, I need an 1181 or 1451a and „no, this is not necessary“ . Can’t come to any solution…

I need a bag for my flute and a music folder, plus some other books, bottle of water. My flute can stick out, but the bag needs to be pretty stable so it doesn't fall over with the flute in it. I love this bag. I'm wondering if it would be big enough? If not, do you do another bag that's bigger with no center divider?

I love this pattern. Your instructions are great. I like that you put the seam width and stitch length on the video - i pause on that every time when making from your tutorials. You are the best at these bag making tutorials. Thank you for taking the time to share. I did purchase a Juki 1541s. Well my hubby got it for me last year for my birthday. I haven’t used it yet. I’m quite intimidated. I did watch your video when you had first used yours and it put my mind at great ease about using mine. I plan to make this very bag for my first industrial Juki project. I have a rivet press but not a hole puncher. Do you mind me asking where you purchased your green hole punched?

@alicekelly4975
@alicekelly4975 2 года назад
I’ve never seen a drop in lining done before, I can see why people don’t like them, has disaster written all over it.. Either way, the top stitching is my trouble area. I wish my Juki TL had free arm capabilities. I currently precariously perch my machine on a stack of big text books from getting my Masters in special Ed, of course, which I never used again. Oh well, at least they’re good for something. Great tutorial, ready to take a whack at drop in lining. 👍
@jessicamarsh9779

Why is the stabilizers in the lining and not the main? I was jw if it’s gonna make a difference. I’m following the directions as the pattern has it but jw if the next one I put the stabilizer on the exterior of it’s gonna make a difference? Lol it’s just curiosity.

I love this bag! Thank you for the awesome tutorial!!! Quick question, last couple steps with the drop in lining - do you think you could bypass topstitching the 1/2 inch fold down and just let the tape keep it down? The reason being I don’t know that I could get the double rows of topstitching perfect enough once the final topstitching was done to connect the interior and exterior. That’s a lot of perfection pressure. :) thank you again :)
