This and Shyne’s joint practically saved Puffy’s Bad Boy Entertainment towards the end of the decade (1999). With the success of DMX, the attention of hip-hop fans returned/shifted once again to the streets after a few years of Puffy and company dominated the charts with their heavy disco-sampled party anthems in 1997 and 98. So in 1999 with the success of DMX and Jay-Z bringing hardcore back to the mainstream (and not to mention the “retirement” of Mase and the critical flop that was Puff’s second album, Forever), Puff let artists like Black Rob and Shyne represent the Bad Boy banner next. But this time he didn’t polish their sound to make it more “pop” just like he had done with Biggie, Mase, and The Lox. He let them keep the hardcore street element after seeing that the formula proved successful for DMX and others.

Producer is called Buckwild. He was in a group with Fat Joe, Big L, Lord Finesse and more called DITC. He Produced only a few songs a year. One of them is Fat Joe- My Lifestyle.
