lol, bottle returns are in a majority of New England (and have been for decades). They usually only accept bottles and cans by products the store sells. It reads the bar codes. So it will spit out cans/bottles that don't meet the requirements (that includes cans from other states that don't have a return deposit on them). You can find those return machines at pretty much every grocery store and retail giant that sells those beverages. There are also some liquor stores/package stores/packy's (whatever you call them in our area!) that will accept returns. Also, for cans, it usually is stamped in the top if it's returnable, for bottles, it's usually right by the UPC barcode. Hope that helps!

You didn't realize it, but you were putting the cans in the plastic bottle recycle scanner and that's why the cans were getting spit out so fast.

I'm so old we had to put a deposit on pop bottles and then got it back when we returned the empty bottles. I did notice you were putting cans in the plastic recycling container. The can one was right beside you. 😂

George George- try another store. Walmart’s return thingys are frequently broken. Plus I don’t know if you noticed, but you were trying to put cans in the plastic recycle thingy. They do separate everything here. Try a local grocery store or see if you can find a recycling center nearby. They would be happy to take those recyclables!

Be careful there. That poop may have belonged to a black bear. I'm in Rochester, Michigan, which was named after Rochester, New York by settlers that came here in 1817. That's a beautiful park. Love the waterfall. You normally can't put cans in the plastic section or vice versa. 😂

Beautiful park! I think you have to return containers in the state they were bought in. Also the machines are specific for plastic or cans so read the sign below the hole to make sure that you are using the right machine. You also need to leave the labels on the plastic bottles because the machine needs to read the bar code. Good luck in your travels and have fun.

The whole moss only grows on the north side doesn't hold true in the pacific northwest! We're we ride our ATV's the moss covers the whole tree!😅 Ya'll need to visit Silver Creek Falls in Oregon. It way cool and your little explorers would live walking behind the falls!

If Walmart doesn’t sell that brand then the machine won’t take it back . And like other ppl have said plastic for plastic cans for cans. Also if it only says NY , Michigan will not take them . And if it’s not a carbonated there would be no deposit on them .

If you buy the cans or bottles in those states the return should work but you have to watch what machine you put them in. Just an FYI in Michigan if you try to cash in bottles purchased in another state you can get a fine

you need to find a Bottle Depot. they take most bottles and you are dealing with a person not a machine! I use one in Port Ewen on Route 9W. You could look up to find one in your area. I am not a fan of those machines as they are set to take only ones sold in the store you are in.
