@poggestfrog His hearing allows him to "see" similar to the way bats and dolphins use echolocation. Based on that's he can make out shapes in his head, but couldn't tell you colors or designs. He folds his money in different ways so he knows what he's got.
The idea of being a civilian who's trapped in a car that's about to blow up and you see Spider-Man swinging pat you so he can collect some spiderbots is hilarious.
The Bode talk was funny since Noshir is in so many games. He was Charles in red dead 2, the ronin you saved in the first open world ghost of tsushima mission, Scorpion AND Oda in Cyberpunk, as well as the countless characters he’s played on TV
Traversal is what makes Spiderman games what they are and being able to make swinging "more realistic" may be weird at first, but its so rewarding when you've gotten it. Wish they added more air tricks and the ability to manually decide where your webs hit (or the general area) better and be able to decide how long your webs are (that is my biggest issue most of the time, I can't regular jump into swing, I can't get off the ground cause my webs are too long) for more depth and control
I imagine manual anchoring wouldn't have been too difficult to implement (conceptually anyway). Just have a setting that if on, enables you to choose which arm he shoots a web from based on which back trigger is pressed. It would remove the air web shooter aiming sure, but I hardly used that anyway. If a building was only on your left side and you hit R1, maybe it would cause a spin animation as spider-mans arm swings him around. I could also see a world where spider-man could crawl up his web line to get some height. During a swing maybe hold R1 to climb or L1 to lengthen your web?
this game needs a dlc, otherwise it feels too short. Only reason I'll load it up now is to swing around aimlessly for ten minutes. Also found that the 30 hour platinum wasn't an exaggeration at all, I took my time with the side content and it only took me 4 more hours than the supposed speedrunner
Im glad zanny actually gave a reason for why spider man might not get game of the year other than people saying its super buggy and crashes all the time which I didn’t experience either but Ik they’ve fixed most of the bugs and i never heard about any crashing problems so its nice to see that zanny knows what hes talking about
@@pogethedoge its really fun but once you do all the main story quests and the side stories that are actually fun the game can be kind of boring but if you enjoy swinging around its not so bad after you 100% it
I mean, Zanny's wrong about why it isn't gonna win GOTY. It's not gonna win, not because of the whole innovation thing, but because BG3 and Zelda came out this year. If innovation was REALLY a thing to consider for GOTY, than Elden Ring should never have won, nor should Sekiro or TLOU 2.

For those who haven’t noticed your swing assist is always turned up by some degree when wearing any symbiote suit. It’s hard to notice because of the base swing speed increase it also gives but I rarely if ever hit the ground during story sections where Peter is in black suit. I haven’t been able to discern if it’s the same for Miles unlockable symbiote outfits.

I have my swing assist at 5 and might lower it to 0 for NG+. 5 is nice because it doesn’t feel automatic and “on rails”, but you don’t flop on the ground if you’re slightly too low. Mix of realism and fun.

@@jaythagoat3699exactly how I like it. I can literally slide on the slide of cars and skim the ground with my toes. It's a challenge to swing as low and fast as you can.
a dd game was in production in the early 2000s, but it was eventually scrapped bc sony and marvel has creative differences. the “radar sense” mechanic was later used in the batman arkham series in the form of his “detective vision”, which is a nice little fact that i think ab every time i play the games. still, any new iteration of a daredevil game would be called a copycat of the arkham series because of that mechanic, unless most of the game is in third person and matt’s radar sense is only used in certain points of the game (which would be a little weird imo)
Yeah I recognized Noshir Dolol (Mysterio voice actor) right off. He's been busy in the voice acting game recently he was Charles in RDR2, I'm pretty sure he was a character in the Guardians of the Galaxy game, I think he was one of the firefighters in Spider-Man 2 as well.
The swinging being so automatic was my biggest problem with it in the first game. It has basically 0 skill ceiling and depth other than maybe incorporation air dodges into it too.

I'm surprised you didn't notice Bode. It literally is his face and he also voices the fire chief. He voiced like most of the grunts in the first game too, his voice is so obvious. Playing through all the games with my girlfriend, the number of times saying "hi Bode"😂 it's great

Whenever I do get this game I’m playing with 0 swing assist. Spider-Man 2018’s swinging was honestly boring long term once you beat the story. It’s like playing bowling with the bumper rails on.
I feel jealous of Zanny because my parents don’t like me raising my voice so I can’t make bits for my videos. But to my knowledge he can scream his lungs out and no one cares 😂. Keep going dude
